Thank you everyone for the support, this is just amazing to me. Here's some corrections from the comments: 1. Tesla banks damage scales off of enemies health, so the explosion will not deal damage based on how much damage you are dealing and headshots mean nothing. 2. Flechette orb is also affected by Vigorous Swap and Arcane Arachne. It can also headshot (rare but happens). 3. Unairu can work in place of Primed sure footed as well. 4. Archon stretch with Tesla Nervos is a good way to give passive energy. 5. Overdriver works like Vaubans passive giving you another layer of extra damage for your final damage number. 6. Equilibrium can be earned way earlier in the star chart than I thought, so it's a solid option for early game if you can fit it in. 7. You can also get Vaubans parts from the circuit, he shows up on week 4 rotation, meaning you don't have to spend nora credits for Vauban. 8. If you have multiple Bastilles out on the field, if you manually collapse them all the original bastille will drag all Vortexes towards it. This only happens on a manual collapse. 9. Enemies Caught in Vortex will not be affected by Bastilles armor strip, they need to be suspended by Bastille for the strip to take effect. 10. Catalyzing shield still works the same way regular shield gate functions, this means you are not set at 1.3 seconds no matter how many shields you gain back, you need to regain full shields to benefit from the full 1.3 shield gate. But it being percentage based you still get back just enough with the Gateban build to keep you alive since movement is key, regaining 35 shields back still gives you .65 seconds of shield gate which is long enough to react to what's happening, and you shield start regenning again since you only need .2 seconds to start gaining back shields. Thank you all for your support and compliments, I wish I could respond to all of you. I love this community so much. I also changed my username to not cause confusion with Dystopia in the future. My in game name will still be ProfDystopia. Go have fun, don't let people tell what is and isn't good. Catch y'all next time!
Great Video first of all. Small Addition I'd like to add. 4) diriga has electro abilities and with the bond mods can take elements from the weapon into the abilities. No need to use Tesla. Diriga will trigger Archon Stretch. Other companions with abilities also work with bond mods, but diriga has electro by default. And with the Addition of shard merging, I'd consider replacing one shard with a purple lesser equilibrium effect to free a mod slot for something else, maybe even more duration or Power.
Doin the train man justice with this vid. I hate that he's not playing anymore but I'm glad to see someone else that treats this frame with the love that he deserves!
mr prime sure footed and shitzime have always had the shittiest takes on warframe don't think you should take it to heart, but it is annoying when people bring up their lists constantly
I see you, and this work pleases me For real though, it is very very rare to see any guide to a frame that is well explained instead of just "heres the build and some gameplay", I even learn something that even as a non-vauban main found interesting and refreshing. This kind of content needs recognition, it reminds me of sajinkhan-alt's video about a frame, it educates players like us who is not a main of a certain frame, how does a frame function, and how to utilize a frame's potential.
Thank you so much, seriously. I hope to be able to show people more things you can do with other Warframes. Love your content too, the health tank Rhino is how I found you.
Thank you so much for the compliment it means a lot coming from you. If you ever need someone to help out with a Vauban video, you can always hit me up. Also love your content, keep up the great work dude!
This guide is only missing one build- Weaponsban. Did you know that rhino can’t subsume eclipse unless subsumed over roar? It’s the same for any damage buffing frame. Vauban can have eclipse + overdrive for multiplicative damage scaling. Sprint speed, catalyzing shields, duration, str, rolling guard. Build him shield gate and shield gate with photon strike and you have a frame with an aoe nuking shield gate that scales off enemy level. He’s a monster.
@@Slai47as a limbo main the eximus problem is extremely overrated once you understand his 3. In fact his only true enemy is violence at the end of the day.
I loved this video, I tried vauban a couple times and I have his prime as well but he’s sitting there gathering dust, and now I feel like I’ve been a main of him for years after this video. Super well thought out ways of explaining him and really helpful and even inspired me to play even more warframe (I have gotten like 190 hours in the past 2 weeks)
One excellent alternative to primed sure footed as well without using any mod slot is the unairu tree. 40 seconds of CC immunity just for double-tapping your 5. It's certainly more tedious than just using a mod and also locks you out of the nice benefits from some other trees, so you'd want to weigh your own preferences there.
@@ProfessorDysto Unairu also pairs rather amusingly well with Vortex since it allows Vauban access to armour and shield stripping without having to use Bastille or another ability from Helminth.
Something important to note if you didnt somewhere i didnt see, its worth noting that overdriver as a buff is multiplicative with base damage mods i believe. Whats more its multiplicative with your passive, AND both are multiplicative to the scaling damage on flechette. Some generic weapon buff might be multiplicative with all of those. So at low strength (which people constantly use and wonder why he does no damage) its not a lot but he scales pretty good with strength and that critical bond mod
Well, many of them are more of a jack of all trades, it's not easy to have an in-depth understanding of everything. But I suppose in their position it would be good to show a little more humility and realize that there may be depths they have not explored or accounted for.
@@holysecret2that’s why I like Kyaiis tier vid the most. His “I don’t know wtf I’m talking about tier” is where several of my favorite frames sit, like Limbo and Vauban
It seems the "big" creators only want a frame that is easy to play. They want brain dead game play and to flex that they have all the rivens and endless shards. They seem to dismiss the fact that we don't get paid to play this game. This guy here just gets it.
I don’t tend to comment on UA-cam much, but I want you to know I’m appreciative of the effort and love for this frame you excuse in this video ❤️ plus the furi intro is immaculate
I like your style of explaining vauban’s abilities and the intricacies of it all. Hope you do this style with other frames. Also, love the monotonous voice.
Thank you for the compliments, I plan on going just as in depth with other Warframes. Vauban has a lot of information about him, so don't expect every Warframe to have just as complicated of a kit, some are fairly simple yet powerful.
@@ProfessorDystoSomething for instance many people don't realize is that Protea's 2 gets crazy powered up the more enemies it hits at the same time. I feel like her and Vauban would make a really good team with Vauban grouping enemies and Protea finishing them off
I would love somebody to do a playlist of all of these TRULY in depth guides for each frame as they come out, from one new channel one day to another, I feel like there are experts out there that have tips and builds no one knows about or thinks about, and having a catalogue of them would be nice. Might be something that could get attention from more mainstream creators to put them onto how viable frames truly can be, so players don’t get a 5 second description for one frame, and like four minutes for another
minimum of what? there is no discernable difference between primes and non-primes. with Vauban specifically you get a pittance of extra armor and shields that you'll never notice in gameplay.
The fact that you put a no Catalyst build automatically gave you a Sub! THANK YOU!!!! The explanation of the skills in the beginning was also top notch. Great job overall!!
I greatly enjoy this video format. Many content creators omit the in-depth look at abilities, which is fine since they commonly preface it's not for new players, but I appreciate you doing it regardless since you span from beginners to experienced players in it. I get a lot of enjoyment from just sitting down and seeing someone really breakdown a Warframe like this, sometimes I even learn a thing or two.
Aw man, a Rahetalius mention. The madlad, the one who helped me see Warframe from a critical lense and not just "update goes brrrr". This was a nice compilation of builds and synergies, lookig forward to replicate the tharros strike one 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is a great video for Vauban...I I never understood why he was always so low on tier list either....Like you said he controls the battlefield! looking forward to seeing more of your guides.
I’m only five minutes in but already want to comment. I’m here because I want to try Vauban. I need a fire progenitor and he’s the only one I like the look of, I’m an immortal Loki main who goes Dagath when I need to nuke, my taste in frames is a little odd according to my pals who have played more than me who are telling me Vauban is mid but I thought those abilities sounded so good and I’m glad to see I’m right (they said to go Protea or Wisp for a fire progenitor frame if I want to build one up). So why am I commenting already? Because you just sound so chill and straight forward but with a little humor to keep from seeming like a lecturer, my man I already love your video style. God I hope you have good guidelines in here for building and playing Vauban on steel path ‘cos I wanna subscribe. So I’m just hoping you got the guides to match the personality. Well presented man. Fuck yeah.
slight correction, catalyzing shields sets your shield gate duration BETWEEN 0.33 and 1.33 seconds, depending on how much shields you managed to restore to, before they break again. not just automatically always to 1.33
Thank you for this, I wasn't sure if I was correct with this information. My current project has been showing some discrepancies with catalyzing shields. This helps me confirm that I was incorrect with my assumption, thank you.
@@ProfessorDysto catalyzing shields is designed to more or less replicate the old "decaying dragon key" shieldgating behavior, so it's designed to be used with brief respite aura and/or augur mods on frame and/or pistol to allow you to restore "full shields" with a single cast of an ability, or maximum 2 casts of something spammable.
Think I might just give vauban a try now. I didn’t completely understand him so my instant reaction when I had his base frame was to just subsume him. But, I think I’ll try and pick up prime and make him one of my new favorites after this video. So thanks for the amazing informative video!
Thank you for the compliment, means a lot. Also glad I could inspire you to give him a go, always happy to do so, especially with my favorite Warframe.
An excellent addition to my repitoir. So far I've only really used him for spectrosiphon shenanigans. Though there are some things I'd like to point out. His 1 can proc electricity. So he can utilize archon stretch for energy. And he combos with breach surge as his flechette orbs can headshot. Replace spectroage on your vortexban and use the freed up slot for anything really. And everything dies.
Man, ive only just discovered your channel and I love your work with Vauban. Ever since I got him when I first started playing Warframe I never stopped. Your guide has helped me improve my Vauban both with his abilities and build. Good stuff man, love your vids!
As a returning vet after a 4 year break that like you is a Vauban main (the base one is still my most played frame!) this video was just amazing for getting me up to speed on all the changes and new mods. Is making me really excited to play him again! Thanks!
The video just started and I have to say ive been playing since january 2014 whit multiple breaks from the game having around 4k hours played, the fact that u have 2k hours more starting almost a year later shows how much u love this game, my respects.
Vauban was my favorite frame back when he released and he still is and after trying so many other ones I always come back to him such as now and this video pops up thank you.
This video speaks to me as a relatively new player. This is my third month playing Warframe, and Vauban was my 4th frame. I really enjoyed using him, and although I don't use him as much, he's still one of my favorites. Your video did him justice and I am really happy. I'm also grateful for the new tips that I learned from this video and the builds you put in. Thank you very much for your wonderful effort!
This made my heart so happy. I've been playing since 2013, and Vauban has always been my favorite frame, and I have so many great memories of him. I took a break around 2018 and came back in 2023 to see he was completely reworked, and my brother was like don't even bother with him because he STILL sucks. I took that personally but never got around to finding a build, so thank you!
Finally. Someone has shown the aspects and powers of he V man. This was a refreshing insight to one of the most fun and (when I got him) Alert run to get frames in the game. Good to see a Sept 2014er going forth and being the info correctly Keep these vids going and I might even sub to your stuff instead of stealing and adding this to my clan watch list to learn how to play him Cheers sir....grand job done
TBH I want more Vauban skins. He needs more appreciation as I like the whole thing of having things like Tower Defense-esque things, and I feel those two things with him and Protea.
Thank you for the guide, it’s nice to see other non-meta(?) warframe mains out there. The knowledge you shared about Vauban was really helpful, especially the more nuanced things about his kit the average player wouldn’t know about. I honestly love seeing other under utilized frames out there, and hearing their mains talk about them with passion. Tier lists and meta hardly seem relevant when you find a frame and weapon that you come to love.
Hey man, just now watching this video 9 months later because Vauban was a frame I always thought was really dope since I first started playing 9 or 10 years ago, and I wanted to pick him up again because I haven't played in a long while and I'm unfamiliar with how Vauban fares now as a result of other big changes such as the status rework. This is the best and most informative Warframe video in an incredibly long time, maybe ever. I truly feel like I know as much as I can about Vauban now and I am excited to play him once again. Thanks man.
Thanks Professor for the video, Vauban has always been an unknown in the tier lists but only you spent 45 minutes to explain it best and how to make it work; great video, I will continue to play Vauban and improve it following your advice.
your passion in this is very admirable!! the way you talk about and appreciate vauban is the exact same way i feel about octavia and to a lesser degree, nyx haha. much like vauban theres so much more to both of them than their (community sentiment at least) reputations give credit for and i do wonder how many people are turned away from frames like vauban, nyx octavia whod otherwise LOVE them like you and i do when people say “theyre boring” “theyre too weak” or whatever in particular the “she plays the game for you” one for octavia gets me because its like. err yes she can afk in low level missions… like almost everyone with abilities of that caliber can lol. my literal go-to for 20wave defence if i cant be bothered is going to a low level mission and LITERALLY going and doing other things while my hildryn sits there with haven and arcane barrier lol. like yea if you just press the button and stand still, thats sort of boring. so dont do that? have a more active playstyle or build? 🤨 i also dont really blame anyone for this but i do wish there was a bit more of a “you do you boo” sentiment in warframe. like if seeking out a meta thats one thing sure, but i always get a little dissapointed when i see people reply to newbies asking questions with things like “oh dont go for x, theyre bad/boring/useless/whatever. go for y or z”… i wish the response was more “x does this, and if you like them try y as theyre quite similar” or something. i personally agree in that every frame can be good and hey, even if they arent, who even cares! its a pve game haha sorry for the small rant i just feel you on a lot of it. thanks for making this video! 💕
Damn, this one the best frame guides I’ve seen since… Triburos’s Loki and Limbo Guides, good job, and thank you, I didn’t even know half of the things in this video about Vauban, I only saw Vauban as the SUCC frame, that absorbs the entire map into a giant glowing eye burning singularity.
This is the kind of video I love more than any other. Seeing someone passionate and knowledgeable about a specific thing in a game talk about that thing in detail is so satisfying for some reason. If there was ten hours worth of stuff about Vauban to talk about, I'd still watch the whole thing.
Thank you for this guide! I've been Vauban main for years and love him, but I've been struggling in SP. I learned some new tricks though that I think will help me. I got use to just setting traps and chilling but you've shown that mobility will help a ton.
Was interested in picking up vauban prime so I decided to look up a guide to sell me, and god damn did this guide sell me. You did a great job showing off all his strengths and weaknesses across a range of builds and situations. Great vid!
I"ve been playing Warframe for about 3 months. and of all the Frames I have, including Umbra, Revenant Prime, Nova Prime, and many Others. I love the Play style of Vauban. its like that one pair of gloves everyone has that they can't seem to replace.. I realize its not the flavor of the month, but Ive never been that kind of Player. thank you for posting your love of this Frame. it makes me feel good about my choice.
Vauban was a favorite of mine for a long time before i started prowling the system with Ivara and reave with Revenant and his mesmer skin. But ive been trying to get to steel path missions more often these days, and im real happy to see my old favorite getting a video with details of how he actually works. I even learned a lot of new stuff that i didnt even know about him today. Thank you for this video, this meant a lot to me. :)
I don‘t think there‘s anything wrong with ranking frames or saying Vauban is C tier. Not every frame is or should be gamebreaking the way Saryn and Revenant currently are. I personally love using things that aren‘t optimal, and Vauban is definitely one of those; the only issues I have with him are simply gameplay related: If we could give Minelayer the Nourish treatment and just remove Vektor Pad and Overdrive, I would already feel far more comfortable using Tether. As is, I only use Flechette Orb. And there‘s currently a very unfavourable interaction that you forgot to mention - ragdolled enemies are immune to Bastille, and this includes enemies trapped in his Vortex. So if your Bastille runs out and you cast a new one on top if it, the Vortex the old Bastille has turned into will suck in enemies and prevent them from getting their armor removed. That makes Artillery spam feel really bad unless you subsume another armor strip ability - and I like his abilities too much to subsume any!
You hold a fair statement, no arguments there. I just don't see it justified when people don't explain how a warframe works or don't try to do anything to prove their points. and I do agree not every Warframe should be broken, and there isn't there just a lot of underdog and bashed on Warframes that peoples opinions are going to stay that way because they where told it isn't good and shouldn't be messed with. Every Warframe is a puzzle to be solved, and there is alwars a solution. And thank you for the critique, that is definetly something I should have mentioned specifically about Vauban. But that specific interaction is show, so it didn't come to mind to actually explain it. Thank you for the support!
@@ProfessorDysto I think, at least for the Warframers I know you flashed up, it's misunderstanding what they mean by tier lists: Vauban is a frame that works because you put the work into knowing his kit and dealing with its quirks. the A/S rank frames, largely, are frames that are either casually immune to nearly everything or can delete rooms by rolling one's face across the keyboard, and thus attract people who simply want whatever does the biggest numbers or whatnot. I like Vauban, but there's no doubting that several of his abilities are either less than useful, or difficult to use (such as Bastille's armor strip being slow). Thankfully, this last update went a long way towards further broadening what was possible in many ways.
Well said!!! You mentioned every Warframe can be a monster. Content creator tier list are nothing but click bait. They are all the same and they all say the same thing about the Warframes they are ranking. On top of that some people that follow these creators will practically do and follow whatever they say. They start sharing the same biased opinions of these creators without playing of experimenting with other Warframes. Vauban is a top tier frame in my opinion. I see a lot of people saying his survivability is questionable at higher levels, but Warframe isn’t at high levels with the exception of invisibility frames or revenant. He can shield gate just fine and if you play his crowd control well it’s the main way to keep him alive.
I've got about 6-700 hours of Valkyr under my belt, and your little heart to heart at the beginning of how you feel about Vauban and why you wanted to make this video really makes me want to take a proper look under the hood and see what more I can get out of her. It's people like you that ultimately define a community, and I hope whenever Vauban changes or the metagame changes around him you'll be back here to tell us all how.
This was very informative thank you I've always wanted to try Vauban but never understood him and people like you truly earn my respect sharing knowledge and experience to others and I've always disliked tier lists because 99% of them are either based on personal opinion or personal experience with that weapon or Warframe
This video is literally one of best warframe guides on UA-cam right now. You are an incredibly skilled creator AND player for that matter. This is the 3rd time I've come back and watched it... And I just had to tell you that I think you made the right choice deciding to make warframe guides, I wish you the success of other big warframe tubers and im gonna share ur video with my clan and all of my discord friends... Vauben has been kept in the dark too long....
I love the intro to the video and the song you chose to smash with vabaun was amazing I loved it!! I'm currently legendary 4 and been playing for the last year½. I'm in a season were I want to have solid builds for all my frames and this was a great video thank you for all the help. Keep doing great things you shiny thing!
Hey, another Vauban enthusiast! I've been playing him since 2018, and the lack of videos about him saddened me so much until I discovered rahetalius's channel, but since he left, we didn't get any videos about the trainface. I'm so happy to find this video, amazing edit and guide! I hope to see more videos, since there's not so much videos about vauban on youtube
This was a great video! I fully agree that several frames don't get the recognition they deserve. I hope to see videos for Equinox, Banshee and Lavos in the (near) future. Good work!
I've just recently started playing warframe and Vauban is the warframe that I enjoy the most and play the most until now. Thanks for this helpful guide
I love this guide. I just came back to warframe after years of being off it and try out Vauban. THis guide is really help too towards new players. I hope to see more guide for other frames soon.
Ty for the vid, picked up Vauban as a result. The Caliban vid also helped me too. I feel as though I have a better understanding of the game after using both characters.
WOW! I play a lot of Vauban, but i learned so much from you dude. One of the most fun Warframes, the Synergy is so fun. I also really love it when Vortex flings enemies around like a carousel 🤣🤣🤣
Love it, i love playing Vauban but learned a ton. I would love seeing more from you in this type of format; id love to see some weapon build recommendations that synergize with this play style Keep it up!
Thank you so much for the compliments. When I do Builds I will be recommending weapons and builds to run on those, on the guide I want to focus primarily on the Warframe alone.
Really great vid. I appreciate the time you took to explain his abilities and how you can spec him for combinations of strength, range or duration, depending on circumstances. It seems like a lot of Warframe build guides focus on one "meta", and that's it, there are no other viable alternatives. I've had Vauban for a long time, and he was one of my first primes, and while he was fun I never could get him to work for me in late game content, and he quickly took a back seat. Thanks to this guide though, I'll be revisiting him and giving him more consideration and TLC.
I’m a new player and picked up Vauban prime in the current resurgence. I played him and fell in love. I couldn’t understand why he felt so good while all the tier lists said he wasn’t?? It’s so refreshing to see a content creator put out this sort of guide.
Hey man, must've been a long process to put this together, definitely appreciate the big time in depth guide, I've definitely played a lot of Vauban myself but also someone who regularly takes breaks from the game this a huge help as you mentioned, the game has changed a ton in the last 3 years.
Update: Okay so I saw the vid around a day or two after posted, and was like “okay dope, love deep dives like these and I love frames that have interesting styles” I LOVE VAUBAN, since revisiting him, he’s one of my main guys for defenses and when I’m bored and hop into solo survival stuff. Feels very active yet never a pain to play, every decision you make with his abilities feels important and powerful. I was quite shocked how much damage flechette orbs did, albeit cuz of the bastille’s armor strip, but still very nice (especially when poor acolytes spawn in the vicinity and get shredded). Wonderful video on a wonderfully fun frame.
Early game vauban enjoyer here, you can get his pieces from the normal mode circuit rewards (they just cycled through again last week), so if you can snatch him there go for it! Saves you 75 nightwave currency.
i love you for this video, vauban was my favourite frame years ago when he was nothing, now he is something and a big something at that, so many ways to play him thanks :D !!
Forgot to say, great guide btw. I used to play Vauban in a very different time when the game was much slower and it felt weird to get back into the champ now with all the changes. He's still one of my favorites, even for defenses. He's probably not as great on Arbitrations and SP for those but I'm having a blast with him anyways. Great guide and thanks for the amazing content. You deserve tons of subs and I'm looking forward to future videos from you!
Great video and especially great timing since he just came back in the current resurgence. He just finished building this morning, along with Gauss P, and I have to say I was surprised how much more fun I found Vauban to be in comparison. I definitely learned a lot from this that I had no idea about, using Nourish with the orbs/vortex is pretty amazing, and seeing someone get good use out of his 3 was cool, I'll definitely try that out. Hope to see more videos from you in the future!
You made me fall in love with him all over again. I bought him when his first prime access came out because of his scary resource heavy parts. Now i can play tower defense with love
I was always surprised when people rated vauban low. Like as a beginner player infinite cc on everything except eximus is CRAZY on paper. And after hitting 1k hours, infinite cc is STILL CRAZY.
instead of using/grind for Arcane Energize, I use the Grimoire with Xata's Invocation. It doesn't work quite as well, but it lets me play with my Arcane choices more. Plus I don't really use secondary's, so it's not like I'm missing out.
I often play with Rahetalius Glyph because I'm a Vauban lover too! He's one of my favourite and really one of the best in many situations as you explain! 👍 Keep it up
What a great video I'm a returning player and was/is a big Excalibur and Vauban player you give that love back to you one of my favourite frames and really informative you have my like and sub.👍🏾
Bro saw the Vauban slander and knew he was the hero we needed. Seriously though, this is perfect mate! In depth and well executed, def gonna rec this to my baby tenno mates!
thank you for the amazing showcase, i didnt even know about half the things you mentioned in this video and i've been using vauban for most my (albeit short) time on warframe (mostly just vortex spamming)
Dude I’m rewatching this rn because I forgot where I was before, and you saying things like tier listing a frame isn’t right and stuff like that is super refreshing to see. Edit: finally ended, holy crap you excelled here. And I am 100% with you on niche/ negative frames. People need to stop talking bad about stuff simply because of tier lists from big creators, and if you want help defending niche or “bad frames” I would be more than happy to help. 👍
Warframe tierlist is a total waste of time. You can do it only for a specific content like index, eidolon, profit taker. And even so, still a total waste of time. This isn't a game for tierlists.
Started playing Vauban when I was trying different frames maxing focus schools to not overwrite lenses and he quickly became one of my favorites. Now he’s basically my go to defense frame and always first choice when he shows up in Circuit.
I've been waiting for a vauban guide that would make me feel like an absolute GOD, ever since Rahetalius leaving warframe, I've been lost on how to use vauban effectively, didn't help that I stopped playing for 5 years and only just came back because of cross-save, but I'm back on the train and even started making progress through steel path with vauban
Thank you everyone for the support, this is just amazing to me.
Here's some corrections from the comments:
Nice video. I liked and subscribed after the F-Zero reference. Gotta be around my age or older to know about that classic.
Doin the train man justice with this vid. I hate that he's not playing anymore but I'm glad to see someone else that treats this frame with the love that he deserves!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with all of us
mr prime sure footed and shitzime have always had the shittiest takes on warframe don't think you should take it to heart, but it is annoying when people bring up their lists constantly
I see you, and this work pleases me
For real though, it is very very rare to see any guide to a frame that is well explained instead of just "heres the build and some gameplay", I even learn something that even as a non-vauban main found interesting and refreshing.
This kind of content needs recognition, it reminds me of sajinkhan-alt's video about a frame, it educates players like us who is not a main of a certain frame, how does a frame function, and how to utilize a frame's potential.
Sajin Khan?
@@ProdigalInk sajinkahn-alt, famously known for the 1hr+ long guide on zephyr and baruuk.
Sorry if I had you confused
Yeah I hope this kinda format of videos becomes more popular
Thank you so much, seriously.
I hope to be able to show people more things you can do with other Warframes. Love your content too, the health tank Rhino is how I found you.
@@ProfessorDysto thank you :)
"Vauban is C tier. Can't nuke the entirety of Venus in one cast whilst armor stripping Mars and spreading status to Pluto"
Sweet, now when people ask me to make a Vauban video I can redirect them to yours instead :)
Thank you so much for the compliment it means a lot coming from you.
If you ever need someone to help out with a Vauban video, you can always hit me up.
Also love your content, keep up the great work dude!
@@ProfessorDysto For sure! Lemme know your username/discord and we can chats!
I went ahead and sent you an email. Sorry I don't quite know how to do all the UA-cam stuff yet.
Well played, Nova. Well played.
@NovaUmbral that's honestly fair but c'mon man give my cc god some love I wanna see more
I love that you incorporated early/mid/endgame builds. Most videos/creators forget that not everyone has every mod. Kudos to you!
This guide is only missing one build-
Weaponsban.
It’s nice to see veterans do value Vauban sometimes. Limbo is right next to him in terms of CC as well and is another underrated wf.
I dusted him off for murmer def missions. Quite good but man exemis enemies are a pain
@@Slai47as a limbo main the eximus problem is extremely overrated once you understand his 3. In fact his only true enemy is violence at the end of the day.
@@Sci-Fi_Freak_YT yeah. He is a bit complicated
@@Sci-Fi_Freak_YT exactly. I replace his 4 because he doesn’t need it.
@@fadeddragon123 a fellow who understands 👌
I loved this video, I tried vauban a couple times and I have his prime as well but he’s sitting there gathering dust, and now I feel like I’ve been a main of him for years after this video. Super well thought out ways of explaining him and really helpful and even inspired me to play even more warframe (I have gotten like 190 hours in the past 2 weeks)
Glad to hear!
Thank you so much for the compliments they mean a lot.
Make sure to drink water.
As a fellow vauban maine i canno/tell you how much i appreciate this video.
Thank you for mentioning this, I forgot about this since I only use it on very specific situations.
@@ProfessorDysto for sure! i've been a vauban main since the day he came out and your guide is awesome! :3
I love how you prove that these big content creators know nothing about the shit they talk about except the bare minimum.
It's a content funnel....
Might be something that could get attention from more mainstream creators to put them onto how viable frames truly can be, so players don’t get a 5 second description for one frame, and like four minutes for another
Vauban mains unite!
EDIT: I really love how you are using a regular vauban for this demonstration, to show what you’re dealing with /at minimum/
minimum of what? there is no discernable difference between primes and non-primes. with Vauban specifically you get a pittance of extra armor and shields that you'll never notice in gameplay.
Thank you for the compliment, especially from a fellow Vauban main!
It's the little details that can help get the point across.
We shed tears everytime the train man mentioned
This is a great video for Vauban...I I never understood why he was always so low on tier list either....Like you said he controls the battlefield! looking forward to seeing more of your guides.
Thank you for the support and compliment! super appreciated!
Indeed, Breach Surge is crazy good on Vauban, I just don't use it much myself.
Thank you for the compliments and info!
Glad to hear!
I was trying to time it for when the Prime Resurgence brings back Vauban, which just so happens to be next week!
Thank you very much for your wonderful effort!
out of every build guide ive seen through the years, this is easily my favorite, thank you for what you do bro
You got my sub just for the Furi intro, purrfect 👏 💯
Thank you, really appreciated.
Good to see a Sept 2014er going forth and being the info correctly
Keep these vids going and I might even sub to your stuff instead of stealing and adding this to my clan watch list to learn how to play him
Cheers sir....grand job done
TBH I want more Vauban skins. He needs more appreciation as I like the whole thing of having things like Tower Defense-esque things, and I feel those two things with him and Protea.
I would also love more skins for him, but all we can do is wait and see.
@@ProfessorDysto All I want is a good Naval Fleet skin for him. Make him an Admiral.
Thanks man.
this video is so good it makes me want to pick up vauban again he was my main years ago and he is still one of my most played
Glad to hear! Have fun with him and be creative!
Great video. Answer formate for a deep dive I feel like I learned a lot
Thanks Professor for the video, Vauban has always been an unknown in the tier lists but only you spent 45 minutes to explain it best and how to make it work; great video, I will continue to play Vauban and improve it following your advice.
your passion in this is very admirable!!
the way you talk about and appreciate vauban is the exact same way i feel about octavia and to a lesser degree, nyx haha. much like vauban theres so much more to both of them than their (community sentiment at least) reputations give credit for and i do wonder how many people are turned away from frames like vauban, nyx octavia whod otherwise LOVE them like you and i do when people say “theyre boring” “theyre too weak” or whatever
in particular the “she plays the game for you” one for octavia gets me because its like. err yes she can afk in low level missions… like almost everyone with abilities of that caliber can lol. my literal go-to for 20wave defence if i cant be bothered is going to a low level mission and LITERALLY going and doing other things while my hildryn sits there with haven and arcane barrier lol. like yea if you just press the button and stand still, thats sort of boring. so dont do that? have a more active playstyle or build? 🤨
i also dont really blame anyone for this but i do wish there was a bit more of a “you do you boo” sentiment in warframe. like if seeking out a meta thats one thing sure, but i always get a little dissapointed when i see people reply to newbies asking questions with things like “oh dont go for x, theyre bad/boring/useless/whatever. go for y or z”… i wish the response was more “x does this, and if you like them try y as theyre quite similar” or something. i personally agree in that every frame can be good and hey, even if they arent, who even cares! its a pve game haha
sorry for the small rant i just feel you on a lot of it. thanks for making this video!
Great vid!
Okay this is definitely the best video about vauban, and I love vauban so much but didn't have the best idea on how to build him.
Thank you so much!
Very detailed wow and a variety of builds and explanations as a vauban main player!!! Thank you so much. Gonna try to do them all.
Glad to hear fellow Vauban main!
Thank you for the compliments!
I personally love using things that aren‘t optimal, and Vauban is definitely one of those; the only issues I have with him are simply gameplay related:
If we could give Minelayer the Nourish treatment and just remove Vektor Pad and Overdrive, I would already feel far more comfortable using Tether.
Simply the best type of Warframe guide I would like to see more.
Great presentation and for a good cause.
Thank you for making this! Subscribed❤
Well said yourself!
Thank you so much for the support I really appreciate it.
I'm so glad your back I really missed your guides, you really care about the game.

Good work!
Lavos has some great Videos already from a thriving community.
Your intro alone... Loved this. Thanks so much dude
This is the frame that got me through the base star chart. Thank you for showing him some love.
I see you, and this work pleases me

Ty for the vid, picked up Vauban as a result. The Caliban vid also helped me too. I feel as though I have a better understanding of the game after using both characters.
WOW!

Vauban really is a fun warframe.
45 mins of pure Vauban knowledge, thank you
Love it, i love playing Vauban but learned a ton.
I would love seeing more from you in this type of format; id love to see some weapon build recommendations that synergize with this play style
Keep it up!
Thank you so much for the compliments.
When I do Builds I will be recommending weapons and builds to run on those, on the guide I want to focus primarily on the Warframe alone.
@@ProfessorDysto I definitely understand, makes total sense!
The algorithm worked for once.
Great video, love this! You've inspired me to actually play vauban again!
I’ve been wanting to play him so much but I thought he was only good for defence and survival thank you for opening my eyes to his full potential
Glad to hear, and thank you for the compliment!
Have fun with Vauban, he really is fun to use!
Woof!! Ty so much for your time, dedication and clear explanation that sets Vauban on a more viable option to play with.
Update:
Okay so I saw the vid around a day or two after posted, and was like “okay dope, love deep dives like these and I love frames that have interesting styles”
I LOVE VAUBAN, since revisiting him, he’s one of my main guys for defenses and when I’m bored and hop into solo survival stuff.
This guide is amazing and I plan to try out Vauban now.
Glad to hear!
Thank you for the compliments.
i love you for this video, vauban was my favourite frame years ago when he was nothing, now he is something and a big something at that, so many ways to play him thanks :D !!
I have been curious about Vauban. This video was complete with build tips to get started that inspired me to learn how to play Vauban.
Good shit man I’ve been looking for this and you did it lol
I was always surprised when people rated vauban low. Like as a beginner player infinite cc on everything except eximus is CRAZY on paper. And after hitting 1k hours, infinite cc is STILL CRAZY.
instead of using/grind for Arcane Energize, I use the Grimoire with Xata's Invocation. It doesn't work quite as well, but it lets me play with my Arcane choices more. Plus I don't really use secondary's, so it's not like I'm missing out.
I love that you are enjoying Vauban. Dont EVER let anyone try to pull you away from what you enjoy.
Definitely adding Vauban to the rotation and appreciate the information.
I often play with Rahetalius Glyph because I'm a Vauban lover too! He's one of my favourite and really one of the best in many situations as you explain! 👍 Keep it up
Its nice knowing more about my favorite train boy. Thank you kind sir!
This video was just what I needed- he’s so fun to play as! Even the early game builds are extremely powerful!
What a great video I'm a returning player and was/is a big Excalibur and Vauban player you give that love back to you one of my favourite frames and really informative you have my like and sub.👍🏾
The intro with "Fine, I'll do it myself" earned an instant sub
Bro saw the Vauban slander and knew he was the hero we needed.
Seriously though, this is perfect mate! In depth and well executed, def gonna rec this to my baby tenno mates!
thank you for the amazing showcase, i didnt even know about half the things you mentioned in this video and i've been using vauban for most my (albeit short) time on warframe (mostly just vortex spamming)
Only people who main a Warframe should be allowed to make videos on it
Dude I’m rewatching this rn because I forgot where I was before, and you saying things like tier listing a frame isn’t right and stuff like that is super refreshing to see.
This isn't a game for tierlists.
this is amazing, I have 16% of my time as vauban and have been meaning to find ways to use him more. This has helped nourish my tiny brain
Glad to hear! Long live Rahetalius.
