Thanks for the dry roller tip...
You're welcome!
Doesn’t the dry roller absorb paint and then become not dry anymore?
Did you have to do anything to mitigate that or you just keep going with the paint covered “dry” roller and it’s ok?
I didn't put the paint on too heavy so the dry roller never got very wet it just helps pick up the excess paint
@@AmyLynn1 👍thanks for the reply
I used this method and the foam roller did NOT give me a smooth coat. I got a leather/hammered look. NOT smooth AT ALL. Yes, roller is FOAM, clean, dry and brand new. Paint was also brand new.
just curious, did you use the same paint as used in the video?
Why did u not use a primer
The can said no priming or sanding needed. But I would probably use a primer and a top coat next time.
great video. what did you use to fill out the cracks and gouges?
I just used spackle!
Can you post a close up of the texture it created? or is there any?
This video is perfect because I have the exact same table. Last night I dyed my hair dark drinking and it got all over my table. Im so mad
Haha oh no!
Good job
Thanks!🙂
So pretty!!
What kind of paint did you use for finishing?
Valspar Cabinet & Furniture oil-enriched enamel
Thank you.
How has this ended up holding up?
So far it has some chips on the edges where everyone puts their feet up. I should have known better knowing it's used in that way. So I will be doing another coat mixed with polyurethane to make it a little stronger!
Thank you for the update
I don’t not like the color
What color would you suggest?
@@AmyLynn1 Chartreuse is a nice color and has tones of yellow and green. Very vintage type of look
After finished the painting shall i need to do varnish?
I didn't in this video but if I were to do it again I probably would to keep it from chipping.
I got a ton of bubbles with the foam roller that didn’t all come out. Did you have that? How long did it take to roll it out?
I didn't really have an issue with bubbles from what I remember since I went over it with a dry roller. If you were having bubbles you might have had too much paint on the roller.
@@AmyLynn1 I had a dry roller. It happened on the first pass with the dry roller. I was able to get a lot of it to go away but not all. Didn't use much paint.
