Best type of washer and dryer to buy ? I found this out the hard way. These came HIGHLY recommended by multiple people in the appliance SERVICE industry.
Has dancing queen on in the background while talking about speed queen.
Its the crossover episode we never knew we needed.

KatieAnn I too had one of those machine's that blew up in my basement a few years ago, The store that I bought it from refused to get involved and Samsung would not do anything without the store's cooperation... at that point I purchased a Frigidaire front load washer and dryer and it did good for a while but then problems started happening with the pump not draining and the board getting hot and over heating not to mention that the clothes started coming out sour smelling too, So that set took the deep 6 as well!!! Now I have the exact Speed Queen set that you have and had it for 7 months now and not had a single thing to complain about with it!!! everything comes out clean and fresh smelling especially my bath towels, no more looking dingy and smelling sour!!! I actually don't mind doing the laundry now because I know that the end result will be good... No More Of Those Nightmare Washers For Me!!!
Robert Przybylowicz what?!? I thought Samsung had to replace anyone who had the washer model that was blowing up. And yours actually blew up and they wouldn’t replace it?? Wow! 🤦🏻♀️ Why wouldn’t the store cooperate either? What an absolute nightmare. So sorry you had to go through that mess! And then to have your next one crap out too? Ugh. The quality of these products has gone downhill FAST. I will NEVER buy anything except Speed Queen now. I agree that I don’t even mind washing my clothes now because I know things will be clean! Had you heard of Speed Queen before buying one? I hadn’t until the repair guy said that’s the only one he would have and I’ve heard that over and over by different repairmen.
KatieAnn the store wouldn't cooperate because she said she didn't like taking appliances back for fear that if she gave me a refund on the washer, she might not get it back from Samsung and then she would be stuck with it!!! and Samsung said that the only way that I could get a full refund is to have the store take it back and then they would take it from there... So neither one would budge and I ended up getting screwed!!! Yes I knew about Speed Queen washers for years because I use to have them in the laundromat that I use to run back in the 70's... They are great machines but a bit pricey that's why I went with the Samsung set and then the Frigidaire set because they were cheaper and on sale and who doesn't want to save a little money these days??? So 7 months ago, I took the plunge and bought the Speed Queen TR5 set and couldn't be more happier with it!!! I only wish i would have taken the plunge a while back it would have saved my self a lot of aggravation... Like I said earlier no more of those nightmare washers for me!!! We were about to go to Costco and buy a Sad sung w/d. Thanks for the heads up. We previously went through the LG stove, fridge and dishwasher debacle...never again! Do your home work first then buy! Just watched a revue of the same Speed Queen. Looks good , will have to see if anyone in my town sells it. Thanks again.
we just moved and ended up selling our Speed Queens with the house. I was so bummed! My husband thought the capacity on the washer was a little small. I loved my Speed Queen, but ended up going with a GE set about a week ago. The COVID thing really hampered our choices on what we could get. I have to say, I’m very pleased with the GE set we ended up with! It’s nice capacity without being bulky and taking up so much room. I have had all GE appliances now in 2 houses and they have all been excellent! So I would recommend them now, too. 😊 Good luck with your search!
@@SimplyKatieAnn Like you, couldn't get Speed Queen in our corner of the world but settled for Maytag. Both machines are working great. My best guess is to stay with North American.

Exactly! JUNK! Unfortunately, we moved and didn't take our Speed Queen set. I was heartbroken because we ended up with a GE set that is junk, too. Can't wait to get another Speed Queen!

How do you like the dryer? My washing machine still works but my dryer died. I bought a dryer from Costco and after 3 days (not a typo), the motor started to go!
Really?? Wow! I will say, I've had to dry my clothes a little longer with certain loads. I've always been attributing it to me putting too much in one load, but I don't know. Honestly, I feel like products are just being made cheaper for cost reasons and they just don't function or hold up like they should. Everyone just wants to make massive profits and not take pride in creating products that DON'T need to be replaced :(
Got a Samsung now. Washer has been pretty good except the uneven thing. The dryer though....had this thing 7 years and this is the 3rd heating element we have to replace. Been looking at these speed queen sets. Thanks for the video. It made me laugh a little.
Ugh, yeah, that Samsung. I would definitely recommend the Speed Queen. We recently moved and I had to leave this set there. Now I have GE and I just want my Speed Queen back ☹️☹️☹️
My Samsung that I had I replaced the heating event 3 x too. My Speed Queen, no issues.
I have Samsung and the stench is getting old.. they look good.. but in the end its performance that matters and I don't think a front loader is going to touch a top loader in terms of performance.
I agree! My sister had a front loader and she always complained that it stunk. And I was tired of the Samsung stink, too! So happy I switched to Speed Queen!

@@caseyoliver18 Agreed.. what sucks is the new Speed Queens arent built like the older ones pre 2018 and have been found not to be near as good. Probably still better than these shit front loaders. I don't know how these experts claim front loaders clean better. Testing had to be flawed.. lol
ISEE YOU no you're right they're not as good as the old ones but yet they are better than the high efficiency washers

Yes! Samsung ended up sending me a check for the washer AND dryer. Both were defective.

Samsung and LG = Overengineered, underperforming, and unreliable junk.
And for the money that you spend to buy Samsung or LG, you may as well buy Miele. At least their appliances perform well for what you pay.
Speed Queen = Well designed, well built, excellent performing, and long lasting.
And Speed Queen appliances are relatively easy to service in the event that they do need repairs.
Agree! Can you believe I already had to replace our new GE washer that we got with our new house a year and a half ago?? Yes, I'm sure you can believe it. I went right out and got another Speed Queen washer! Now waiting for the dryer to break so I can get the Speed Queen dryer!

GE Appliances is not actually a division of General Electric. It's owned by Haier, which is a Chinese company.
GE sold their appliance business to them and they use the GE brand under license.
@@Watcher3223 Ugh. I got all GE appliances and the dishwasher is also crap and needs replaced already. Actually, the latch never worked properly from day one. I had luck with a KitchenAid dishwasher at our last place, so I'm probably going to get one of those again eventually. Wish Speed Queen made dishwashers! LOL
@@SimplyKatieAnn KitchenAid is Whirlpool, but I would take them over GE anyday. They're good, IMO.
Other good suggestions would be Bosch or Miele.
@@Watcher3223 Thanks for the suggestions! I really need it in white and the last guy I talked to told me KitchenAid wasn't making any in white. I find that hard to believe, so I'll be checking on that again...
Next time get another speed queen what a 2017 Version

@Mario I didn’t notice that our water bill went up a whole lot. I actually miss my Speed Queen now. We moved into a new house and left the appliances at our old place. Now I have a GE and I’m not impressed 😒

@Mario oh I just realized you said front loader. I only do top loaders. My sister had a front loader and it always seemed like the water sat in the front and just smelled moldy all the time. Could’ve just been hers but I just go for the top loaders.
