Hey, Kathryn! The nausea progressively lessened each week for me. Now, I hardly get any nausea. And if you want me to be honest, I think the nausea was working for me to help control my appetite. Now that it's mostly gone, I have to pay attention a little harder than I was before. I have a lot of craziness going on in my personal life on top of the stay at home order, so I'm trying to take it all in stride the best I can. At least I'm not gaining! That's a victory, right? Keep me posted on how you're doing!
You look fabulous! In your last ukelele video... your hair... your face! You are losing!!!! Staying at home has....kind of helped me.... but kind of not because of the anxiety of job loss... anywho! Looking fab!
I've had a CRAZY month, so I'm all over the place at the moment. Just moved into our new place and stuff is EVERYWHERE! Including my eating habits...yikes. I gotta get back on track! I feel like this medication really helped me out because due to our moving circumstances I was running out and had to cut back and my stress/emotional eating has crept back in a bit. Just ordered a refill and hope to get some normalcy back soon! I need it! But LOVING THE NEW PLACE! I'll show a house tour as soon as I get it in order...
I know. It's not the most enjoyable thing ever LOL But, it helps us not want to eat as much! Keep me posted on how it goes for you! Thanks, Lisa, for stopping by and taking the time to comment!
My timeline looks pretty screwy here because I was late posting the first video. I was trying to catch up to real time, so this is actually for week 18.
Will eating with food help with the nausea? I keep reading people saying it makes them sick. Also sounds like you should take at night. Can you drink coffee with it? I just got my prescription.. they are sending next week.
First and Last name I think it definitely helps to take it with food in the morning. You’ll start with that one pill every morning for a week, then one pill in the morning and one just before dinner time for a week, then you add the second one in the morning with one just before dinner for a week, then you’ll add the second pill just before dinner. So once you’re at full dose, you’ll be on 2 in the morning and 2 just before dinner. (If that’s how your doc prescribed it for you). I do still have moments of nausea or just yuck feeling, but not enough to stop taking it. That really just reminds me that I don’t need to eat at that moment. And I don’t drink coffee but I drink caffeine. I haven’t noticed that I can’t eat or drink anything in particular. It’s really just when I overeat but that was happening before this medication too. I just tended to ignore it and keep eating. Can’t do that now! (Which is a good thing :) Excited for you to get your prescription! Keep me posted?
Hey, Hannah! I don't necessarily remember feeling tired, but I do remember feeling very calm and relaxed, very chill mode. I hope you keep me posted on how it goes for you!
@@hannahbirks9606 Are you doing the gradual dosing? Like for the first week 1 pill in the morning? Just curious because it's possible if you're taking too many too soon, it could make the side effects more pronounced, or make you more tired.
@@hannahbirks9606 Perfect! I just wondered because I've had people tell me their doctor started them at the full dose and I think that's way too much too soon.
I'm literally starting tomorrow! I'm nervous and excited at the same time.
Ashley MacDonald how’s it going? :) I’m starting tomorrow and I’m nervous also
@@antoniavaldez5564 so far so good for me! I wish you luck!
How is it going?? I'm curious to hear!
I'm so behind! I see these comments were a month ago. Why am I not seeing them?!? UGH. Anyway, hope you both are doing well and would love to hear!
Thank you for sharing your experience; you are an inspiration! I am in my first week on Contrave. Battling some nausea.

You are amazingly inspirational! Thank you Katie Foster!
That means a lot, thank you!! Are you trying it out, too?
Currently on this medication and everything u have said is 100% accurate
How are you doing on it? I need to post another update!
Thank you for keeping us updated! Your face is slimming down along with your waistline. Keep at it!! I'm starting next monday.
That's great to hear that it is working and you don't have to do anything different like crazy workouts or calorie deficits.
I'm sure there's a calorie deficit in there somewhere, but I don't have to obsess over it. It's just happening naturally! YAY!
I’m starting on Contrave in a few days. Can’t wait!
That's exciting, Courtney! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Is this "quarantining" affecting your weight loss progress?
Motivated to get my pills but I hate feeling nauseous.

@@SimplyKatieAnn how long did the nauseau last?
You look F'ing fantastic.. Go you!
Thanks, Marie!! I feel fantastic! :)
I take tylenol as pain killer. I heard I can't anymore.
Hmmm....not sure about that one. Did your doctor tell you that? Just curious.
Is this supposed to be 8 week?

Can these pills be bought over the counter or must be prescribed?
Contrave has to be prescribed by a doctor.
