    He really could. Look at Travis' hands. Those are some meaty mitts he has. Thats where true strength really lies. The grip and forearm and Travis is wealthy in this area. I like this guy. People hate him for his trash talking but he actually seems like a pretty good dude. When it comes to training he isn't an asshole he actually seems helpful in putting people in the right direction.

      ethrez It's not in the "force of nature". I've seen a lot of videos of him but never pulls ups on the globe.

    Word... I am dumbstruck that anyone can beat Cyplenkov. He is so massive!! But John, in his way, pulls it off. Unreal...

    Brzenk has super good technique and he's tricky. He's also super strong pound for pound. Adding more muscle isn't going to hurt you. If Travis didn't do mind games, including always messing around with the grips, I predict he would be a lot worst. Having as much power/muscle as possible is always a benefit.

    Travis is the proof that you don't need to have tons of muscle to be strong. Travis is a big guy, but he is not a Ronnie Coleman, for example, and he can destroy Ronnie in the armwrestling.

      leo280597 wow no shit Sherlok ? i didn't know that travis is gonna be badass at the sport he trains for :/
      if ronnie trained arm wrestling in his primes even for a single year , travis isn't gonna find it that easy...

      There's a video of a female arm wrestler destroying a free style rock climber. Arm wrestling is a sport you have to train for.

      @DaDA6870 7 років тому +3

      These people train for arm wrestling 5 hours a day. I bet free style rock climbers don't even arm wrestle once a week. I don't think free style rock climbers won't even have a chance of winning him with two hands.

    • @jpotts18
      @jpotts18 6 років тому

      tgo007 Yeah no shit. That would benefit Cyplenkov too! Or....anyone?
      But I'm guessing you're saying this because Travis doesn't have much muscle, right? Wrong, dipshit. He's 6'3 and 280 pounds. And he isn't (too) fat. So yeah, Travis IS pretty big. He doesn't look like a freak, but that doesn't matter. You can't tell how much muscle someone has by size exactly anyway (there's muscle density). And you can't tell how strong someone is just by muscle (there are neural factors, as well as attachment points and angles). Clearly, Travis is strong. Anyone who can do globe pullups at 280, or who can resist a jeep from moving forward with one arm....is pretty damned strong.
      Also, unlike some dudes (Cyplenkov) Travis looks like he could be natural. If he is, probably isn't getting much bigger than that without steroids. I saw above you were talking about Brzenk. I mean, do you really think this dude has more muscle than Travis?: en.armpower.net/img/465x305/20110908125700_john_03.jpg . If you do then your eyes probably don't work.

      Travis fluctuates in weight. Here Travis is off cycle and is in the 250-260lb range. When he is heading into a match he is gaining 25lbs+. Travis is a beast natural, but he does what he's gotta do to be the best. How can one actually think I top level heavyweight is natural? If you are a lifetime natural and can bench 410lbs dead 600+ you can curl 205 strict and your a pro armwrestler about to get paid 10k if you beat the elite guy on peds in front of you how are you not going to even the playing field. Just one cycle will turn that genuine lifetime freak natural into a near 500lb bencher 700+ dealer and add 30lb to 40lbs of near lean tissue to his frame. If he was close before he's more than likely winning by doing what everyone else is doing. Travis was a machine as a natural but that was over 20 years ago. He had to do what what is needed to compete at the top. No man is going going to be immune from having to take peds in a strength sport at some time in their career. There are few who can beat 99 percent natural, to be the best they always have to take.

    Unless Ronnie spent a quarter as much time armwrestling as Travis, then Ronnie would annihilate him.

    All these "grip strenght" exercises...
    Klokov can snatch deadlift 200Kg without hook grip, now that's grip strenght, and I bet he never did these fancy things.

      Haha Grip strength isn't only about holding strength. Check Devon larrat vs hafthor.
