Absolutely brilliant Uncle Grumpy, I'm Grumpy too, but, unfortunately, I have nowhere near your talent. Thank you for everything you have given us this last year
Hey Adam I can't begin to tell you enough how much I enjoy how you show your RAW files, and then morph into your processed image for the reveal! It always gives me hope on how I can turn my 'sows ears' into 'silk purses'! Thank you!! 🤩
Perfect example of a master photographer at work! Clear demonstration that there is always great subject matter, however "bad" the light is so long as the photographer has the right skills set.
Another enjoyable video Adam. Thanks. For blue bird skies, I always like shooting black and white infrared images. Those type of skies get so nice and black.
Adam, this is another great video. Thank you for sharing it with everyone. It is interesting to see the RAW file and then the edited file. Simply great these pictures.
That is a grand landscape experience. I am so used to cloudless skies here in southern Arizona. I quite like them if done well. Not easy though. I like the results you achieved. I would be happy if they were mine. I really like the transition of your unprocessed RAW image to the processed end result of your vision. Nice touch. Thanks for sharing.
Wow what a location and hike that was! Stunning scenery, I think you captured some beauties. The images tell a nice story aswell because you can see each images getting closer to the big mountain in the background
Sorry about the drone! Thank you Adam you are working so hard to bring us those beautiful footage and photography. Thank you for showing us the beautiful nature in Greenland. It is truly a treat to my eye.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and great drone footage and the epic scenery you have visited. Have a great season of celebrating. Have a great Christmas and New Year,🤶🎄❄🎅🍷 Cheers.............Peter.
I have to say that I really love your panoramic shot with the "S" curve. I would also have to say that your night time shot was as good as any I have sen with Gavin or Michael. Just because a person doesn't do something often, does not mean they are not good at it. I love the Aurora and would love a chance to get a little further North to get such an image under my belt. Amazing video as usual Adam. The sunstar on the peak at 9:34 was amazing. I especially love the flowers in the foreground of all the spires and peaks. It is a toss up between your first and last image for my favorite one. Thank you for sharing your skills with the world.
Kind of a funny thing to comment on (since it has nothing to do with the scenery) but I like how you showed the Raw file first, and then faded to the final version. I think this is different from some of your other videos. It helped me see how you pull the viewer into your images. It’s amazing how much different the results can be from some simple dodging and burning. Thanks for sharing your images, and your adventures.
An absolute pleasure to watch as usual Adam, beautiful images too, been following you for a couple of years now and still love the content my friend ,Thanks,,,Bob.
What a fabulous collection. I particularly liked the first two because I was so impressed with what you got with that poor sky. After that I knew what you could do, so they didn't stand out quite as much if that makes any sense. The second one with the gnarly tree filling the frame was very instructive. And of course the dwarf trees on rocks is you being you and seeing the more intimate shots.
I have been following you and your work and I think your photography is by far the most beautiful light- we visited Greenland with my son last summer and fell in love. We have vowed to return with a photograph tour or guide and you video definitely inspires me.
love that fire weed image is beautiful .loved it in your book, the contrast between the color in the weed and the greys and slate of the rocks is fantastic and the very last image , I really liked tooo..
Wow! Breathtaking photos, Adam. The 2nd shot with fire weed is my favorite. Thank you for showing us the raw and processed photos. Very inspiring. I am glad that you were able to rescue your drone.
Some more of your Life Coaching lessons seems like a fair trade for Gavins Milky Way course, don't ya think! Stunning scenery and of course images, the big vista with the fireweed and mountains is epic but the elegance and understated beauty of the tree roots shot is nothing short of superb.
Your video entrance and images ...wow. I feel like I'm there! I'm glad you got your drone, I witnessed my friend's drone go further out to sea till we could see it no more, I watched his heart sink. Beautiful work as always Adam.
Well thank goodness your still photography is so high end Adam, otherwise (as stated by others in the comments) your movie sequences, specifically the opening sequences to your videos are just fantastic and would out shine the still images. Thank you for sharing your experiences on your Greenland trip. Best wishes and good health to you both over the Christmas and New Year periods. Cheers Adam.
What a gorgeous set of photos. I am sorry to hear of your drone mishap and hope it may be repaired to fly another day. The scenery here just never gets old.👍🏻👍🏻🍻
What a wonderful vlog Adam. I just love the way you merge your RAWs into the processed files as it really shows how I need to work even harder on my files to paint more light where I want/need it.
My God, the beauty seen in some of those photos, especially the one with the fireweed, darned near brings tears to one's eyes. Sounds like you still lucked out and didn't trash the gimbal in the drone crash. Again, thanks so much for sharing, Adam. The scenes are so beautiful.
Great to see how location and composition can trump post-processing, and even (to a certain extent) light. Amazing images with apparently minimalist processing! Thanks for the reminder of this!!
@@QuietLightPhoto It is actually insane... I keep trying to clear my backlog and it just keeps growing! I should move to a cabin in the woods without internet!
Such lovely photos, great video. This is the first I've seen of yours, looking forward to checking out the others. (As a side note, I really like your logo.)
Excellent shot for the Aurora. If you have another opportunity in Canada, I suggest iso 1600, 6 -8 seconds, f1.8, 50mm or less. Those are my settings in Washington and always bring excellent results.
Thanks for changing the order of your photos (raw to processed) - it is great to learn (it already was great to learn from great photos!). It would be interesting to know how processed the picture at 10:00 - the sunbeams are incredibly clear, I don’t know how to do it like that...
I was headed to bed when I checked my email and noticed this video treat waiting for my attention. Watching your adventures is always a special time of day. Wonderful stuff, Adam. I love the drone footage so even though it's a hassle, please keep doing it.
I have always wanted to visit this part of the world, Thank you for bringing me/us there with you. Your photography and video work is simply stunning and as a result I find it hard to believe your also Uncle Grumpy . Please keep up the fantastic work Adam , My family and I wish your family and you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
Some 'keepers' in that vlog. Your book arrived during the week. I quickly scanned through it and now have been going back over it in detail. A great selection of images - well worth it. Regards.
Thank you for taking me on your journey to Greenland. As always you do such a wonderful job of filming and photography. I wish I just had 10% of your amazing skills. Happy New Year to you and your family, and I look forward to watching you in 2020. Thank you again.
Hi Adam, I can't thank you enough for taking the time to post such a stunning video and stills show! I really appreciate the efforts and results. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and family. VZ
Awesome location and, as always, great imagery. The time lapses are mesmerizing and I’m glad you squeezed in an Astro shot as well. Bummer about the drone but glad you recovered it! Well done Adam!
Wow! That photo at 6:15 was tremendous Adam. Absolutely love the gnarled trees framing the background. Just when I thought it couldn't get better those other images were incredible as well. Very productive location.
1 1\2 mins into this film and have to comment about the opening scenes, totally mindblown!!!..............................Another really enjoyable film Adam, the stills you captured look amazing as was the video and drone footage. Thanks for sharing this with us. Seasons greetings to you and your family, hope you have a fantastic 2020 cheers. Thanks as always for the inspiration!
The master at opening sequences strikes again! :) sorry about the drone, ugh!

Really amazing locations and images. I have never seen a birch like that but it had a beautiful reddish bark. Gorgeous stuff Adam.
Amazing Adam. Thank you.
Absolutely love the pano at the start!
I really like the light on those birch branches, nice way to add interest when the sky is a little less interesting.
Another stunning video Adam. Glad you found your drone. Have a great Christmas :)
