Just imagine a truck driving sim, but you’re an Imperial transport ship going through space. Several minutes of floating around and suddenly a pirate raid occurs, and then you could have small skirmishes. I wish there were more games like that.
Honestly, you joke, but that could be pretty interesting. Imagine something like the NASA Crawler (although much faster) that they used to transport the Space Shuttle... but that's your "tractor" and mobile base. And it's nuclear or plasma reactor powered. And you have to harvest basically the size of Texas worth of just wheat. Just... Wheat. Wheat for as far as the eye can see for what would be an hour's worth of time flying over it in a jet.. And you have to manage harvesting the wheat, separating, sorting, cleaning, packaging, transport and defense of it from dangerous wildlife. All while managing like several hundred servitors like resource collecting units in an RTS or something.
@@matchesburn That sounds amazing. I'd imagine it would have to be an RTS game given how large the map would have to be, and all the tasks you would have to manage.
Farmers will commonly rotate crops to allow the soil time to recover from the plants that where just harvested as well. Either leaving them fallow or planting something that puts specific nutrients back into the dirt so the next time you grow your main crop it’s more likely to to be a stable or bumber crop. So it would make sense that they would change crops from time to time to keep the world producing as much as possible.
For a planet sized farm fertilizers would absolutely be required too because you would be taking all or most of your produce off planet removing any possibility of recycled nutrients. However changing crops from time to time would help the soil to recover and allow for some nutrient balancing in the food you’re producing for the meatbags you’re sending it to feed.
@@michaelkimberling7307 No, you don't need to rotate farms, you just apply fertilizers in the correct amount at the right time of the year so that the nutrients are available for the plants to absorb. The only reason we produce food in the soil is because it acts as a medium in which nutrients can go from the soil, through the ion pump in the roots and into the plant. Plants do not give two-fucks what they actually grow in, only if the growing conditions are met or not.
@@LazyLifeIFreak You are correct in that you don't *need* to do it, but practicing organic growing techniques such as crop rotation, animal fertilizer, and so, you can grow a lot more food efficiently and effectively without requiring a higher technology base. It's why we still practice these techniques even in the modern day where we could conceivably feed the whole world in massive hydrophonic plants.
I'm reminded of the story of Hogfish Bay. The way this story was told to me, a guy was in a multiplayer PvE match in the Anno series of strategy games. His allies had all played the game before, but this guy was new to it and hadn't yet figured out the game's One True Build Path, so he was constantly having to correct his town, which usually meant _over_ -correcting - until he noticed that there was a neutral NPC faction nearby that would to buy soap at a constant price. So, he reoriented his entire city to focus on pig farming, to produce exactly two things: soap, and sausages. When the other allied players looked over to see how he was doing, they were met with a Dickensian nightmare haze of caustic smoke from the soap factories and screams of dying animals from the endless slaughterhouses that fed them. It was great.

St John of the Deer: a prehistoric tech priest from a time long predating even the dark age of technology. The tech priest would build a machine that would inspire the STC-pattern single-seat 'Thresher' wheeled harvesting machine. We only uncovered the ancient machine that would become the basis for the STC 'Thresher' and came to know of St John of the Deer due to the most blessed of fortunes: during an attack on the south-eastern portion of Merica by an unknown nation during the Age of Strife, the fusing on a 300 megaton airburst nuclear weapon failed, plummeted into the ground, and detonated. It left a huge crater behind. At the bottom of the crater: A pristine example of an ancient harvesting construct, miraculously preserved through tens of thousands of years beneath the earth. On the machine the name of its holy builder was inscribed on the side panels. Soon after the Horus Heresy, this ancient machine would be rediscovered by the Imperium and this most holy of prehistoric tech priests would be canonized St John of the Deer.
@ 19:06 Not just dirt, but fertilizer, trees to protect the soil* from being picked up and raging in huge storms, irrigation systems, etc etc. The American Dustbowl happened because of over tilling, and lack of trees covering said over-tilled fields.
Hive worlds actually use hydroponics to help feed themselves, as several spires are used as massive hydroponic farms. Now of course most of what’s grown is basically turned into gruel for the hive cities but some upper spire royalty enjoy owning their own personal hydro farm to provide food for themselves. Of course these hydro farms are no where CLOSE to feeding the entire hive city, but they can provide enough most of the time to not let everyone start starving instantly.
The problem with hive cities is that they do everything to minimize the populations food requirements. Substantial hydroponics, biomass, and fluid recycling, yet the thing is with populations that dense anything you do to try and lessen the logistical strain is just going to be Band-Aids on bullet holes.
This reminds me of the time I was in a black crusade game taking place in an underwater hive. And the gm made it cannon that only the hive nobles had access to the height of culinary decadence... chicken tendies.
Imagine living in the 41st millenium on an agri world, peacefully, for you're entire life and dying, having never even seen any of the horrible conflict or death or chaos. Entirely possible, and probably actually quite common.
5 minutes later... "what is that dark could coming closer? Ou did you hear that astropathic messages are not getting trough, whats up with that?" Then again one could live their lifes in somewhat peaceful manner since time scale is such vast in 40K
I would imagine the majority of worlds and people never see the crazy intergalactic warfare or get blockaded by chaos or attacked by Tyranids or invaded by Orks. Maybe a local uprising on the world itself, a war or two every generation between large factions or nations on the planet - like what we experience on earth. Any conflict the average person experiences is probably with other people from his or her world, if any.
There is no one that insanely lucky, either their planet will be annihilated or the person will taken off planet, forever being unable to return to their peaceful life.

Fun fact; corn does have tryptophan! However, you need to nixtamalize it (boil in an alkaline solution). This increases the bioavailability of nutrients otherwise unusable (niacin and tryptophan). That’s why corn was such a staple in the Americas for thousands of years
And it was why the first non-American adopters of corn had outbreaks of pellagra because that process was not shared with them. RIP a bunch of Spanish peasants and Africans.
There were vineyards on Prospero. Underground vineyards likely run off hydroponics. Ahriman himself took part in cultivating grapes and running a vineyard. He intended to make that his focus when the Great Crusade ended and the Astartes had no purpose. Unfortunately the wolves, and the heresy came first.
Seeing what such warriors would have wanted to do if the war had ended is remarkably melancholy for 40K. Reminds me of the picture floating around on the internet of Perturabo in full Great Crusade power armor, but with a kid on his power-armored knee, both of them smiling and happy, surrounded by toys and crafts the Primarch had made.
So they had massive vinyards for making wine and it never occured to them it might attact the one Space Marine chapter with a disposition for alcohol? XD
I used to work in a prison. 4 days of the week we would feed the inmates corn grits, oatmeal 2 days week, and cereal on Monday. The cereal was the last popular meal; those inmates want corn grits for breakfast all day and cook the same way.
Naw. By law one of the officers has tasted a random tray. But some of the boxes of meat paste do say ” Institutional used only." Fun Fact about 90% of FL DOC prison does not have A/C, like Mordian
Personally I enjoyed the entire sea world built around mobile city ships whose job was to move around the ocean to scoop up algea because it was able to be made into a good basic food stuff. An entire mostly safe world full of shallow waters... Except for the imperium and Tau fighting over it.
Same thing with an ocean world where they also exported incredible amount of fish. Pretty decent place to live untill the alpha legion and world eaters showed up.
@@firmak2 Kreig was an absolute paradise world before they destroyed themselves, afterwards it's far far more useful to the imperium then a vacation spot for nobles. Personally counting that as a pyrrhic victory.

@@Jst.a.Normal.Bottle.of.Mustard Could be that its stored there and once every hundred years it gets pumped to orbit... or mined out depending on its consistency. The hive does not need to have its own pumps, could be just a thing for the poop ship have. Though pretty sure they wont waste water in this operation, so its gets pumped into ship that separates the water making it into solid that gets stored, while water gets pumped back to hive storage tanks to be processed, or that too is done on orbit. Once in agri world, ship pumps water up, dehydrates the solids into liquid and pumps it down. This is most feasible method of transporting shit... though human solids tend to be issue, so there probably is some processing done it the shiip.
Feces is actually being considered for use as radiation shielding by nasa. It would essentially by stored in the walls of space ships instead of isolated tanks
The imperium might be using terraformed agri worlds from the DAoT, fields plowed perfectly thousands of years before. We know the golden age humans relied on interstellar trade, so specialized terraforming could have been common.

Not to mention the amount of defenses I'm sure the Imperium focuses on such strategic worlds.
Many agri worlds dont even have space ports left alone defenses or harvesting Equipment. The mechanicus has specialized harvester fleets that have athmosphere capable bulk haulers and harvester machines the size of titans that take care of the logistics so the planet can produce calories with a minimum of technology and maintainance required.

When I was deployed to Iraq for OIF I, my section had access to a DVD laptop and a "One Eye" office projector so my squadron was able to have movies. I wonder if agri worlds utilize a form of farming similar to the three-sister farming native Americans utilized. For those not aware of this type of farming, it was three crops (squash, maize and beans) which produced waste products that the other plant would need to grow more effectively. Left the soil fertilized and the plants grew faster and healthier.
Depends on the agri-world Some are industrialized, some are not industrialized but still conservationist in the way you described, and some are blatantly wasteful, like Nazi Germany times 100 levels of wasteful. Most are America level farming tho.
There is a massive hydroponic complex in the southern corner of Spain supplying a large portion of of Europe so it isn’t in an experimental stage just not wide spread
There are several hydroponics farms in my area but nothing super huge. I feel like they will increase in scale as outdoor growing conditions become increasingly unpredictable.
Actually... fungus would grow fairly well in vacuum so long as you keep the mycelium bed inside. All the fruiting bodies wouldn't really care if they poke out into the void with just a few tweaks.
ok so... on the plants that thrive on higher levels of radiation: they'd grow enormously fast. Therefore: there'd be more output. second: some planets could be entirely unsuited for food crops, but they could be suited for crops that can be fermented, where the crops can then be used for actual food. this would mean, you'd need a fermentation planet as well xD
In Star Wars Legends EU there are planets defined as "Green Worlds", Ork jokes aside, these are worlds that the Republic, Galactic Empire, New Republic, Fell Empire, and Galactic Alliance, actively try to keep from ever being industrialized or the very least not turned into something like Nul Hatta, worlds like Alderaan, Naboo, Dantooine, Ithor before its devastation and after its restoration, Telos IV following its restoration, these worlds produce the most abundant amount of food and medical plants in addition to having the best types of hydroponic gardens, you might have cases of more mundane farms like those near running water, enabling them to use the running water for both powering turbines & supply fresh water the plants granted they are poissbly some thing the size of a small island, while other worlds use something in the form of giant domed hydroponic gardens the size of New York, in addition to having water filters to scrub and remove debris and toxins from entering their worlds oceans, the technological process of the people from Alderaan & Naboo is used on many of these enabling the soil not to be contaminated or other things, these worlds also serve as the main source for acts of terraforming and planetary restoration proncesses in the aftermath of wars and other devastating things, I imagine the Imperium also keeps tabs on these sorts of worlds,
I'm slowly putting together a system based in 40k, I had an idea for an Agri-World that is an ocean world where they fish up Titan sized sea monsters with Imperial Knights serving as basically whalers. For your hypothetical full agri world where everything has been terraformed, rather than just having the people living on stilts above the growing fields, it would be way cooler if there were massive combi harvesters that were so large that they functioned as cities (like Mortal Engines but actually good) The people living on the harvester work to process the food that has been harvested and the harvester leaves seeds behind it so that a few months the next harvester on the same latitude can harvest it. Then you have a space port on the north or south poll which get shipments flown in from each harvesters to be then shipped off world.
I want to build an argi world revolving around invasive species. The imperium brought some genetically engineered cattle and fish to a planet. Some of these animals escaped captivity into the wild where they cross breed with the local species and grew to massive sizes much like the feral hogs and snakehead fish in north America. Unlike the captive variants which are culled before they get too big to handle, these feral hogs and fish are only limited in size depending on the available food which is quite plentiful on the planet because it has a massive tropical river delta. They are still edible but due to their size and the feral nature, normal agri workers can't hurt them and they tend to break into holding pens and artificial ponds to steal food. This can be a potential home work for a space marines chapter, a knight house or imperial guard regiment who hunt the oversized crocodilian beasts and fish for food and combat training.

You answered your own question. Imagine a world covered in forest, every inch of land has trees there. Now imagine how many potential planets one sector might have. Now imagine the regrowth of a normal ideal tree, now imagine 1000's of machine eating into the landmass everyday. Then you now understand the reason for lumber world's ... The safest world one could be one in the Imperium, just as if not more important than Forge World(Tech heresy I know but I don't care), and the backbone of humanity. If any of us were in 40k, and not lucky enough to be a Space Marine or better, we'd want to be on an Agri World. I know I would.

I was gonna make the point that us Irish proved that peasants can live on almost just potatoes alone, and then I remembered the potato blite that wiped a lot of us out in the 1,800's....incidentally, according to our last census, our population has finally managed to reach the 8 million people that it was, before the 1847 Great Irish Potato Famine. Interestingly, if you wanna watch some real life post apocalypse stuff, that'd sort of like a US western outlaw film, "Black 47" is a movie set during that famine in Ireland. It's on Netflix. I say post apocalypse, even though it's not the actual biblical apocalypse, but reducing the population from 8 million to I forgot, but a much lower number, in one failed harvest, after a few years on on and off failing harvests, is very Warhammer 40,000, along with interesting or let's just say mixed, ways of dealing with starving peasants. To be fair, there where British people in power that did try to help the situation as best as they could. Also, only an estimated 1 million actually died of starvation or more so disease that would have been survivable if not for the starvation. Most of the population decline was emigration, like to mainland Britain or the New World, like the USA, in "coffin ships", called so because of those ships death rates on the journey to the New World.
Charles Trevelyan in Britain's civil service at the time pushed hard on insisting that Ireland was starving because its people were lazy and morally bankrupt because they became so dependant on potato farming, and needed social reform. He was an advocate of "non-intervention free market" that saw to it that Ireland was better off starving so it would correct itself. It took donations coming from across the world, including Native Americans and even American *slaves* before Britain felt forced to actually do anything, when conditions had already gotten so bad. I don't think it's fair to say they did try to help as best they could.
@@jondoe5937 Actually the, I think Prime Minister of Britain or a similar position, seeing reports of the famine coming, ordered vast grain supplies from the New World. Unfortunately, he lost his office and was replaced by a man that had that attitude. Also, many individual British people did what they could, like Christian preachers. Including the man that invented Binary logic, who was born in England, but excepted a job, teaching at the newly opened University College Cork, which is like a 20 or 30 minutes drive from where I live. He did write about how there was nothing that an individual could offord to stop the crisis, but also records showed that the rich locals where more interesting in fancy living them actually helping the starving masses. This is not the first time I heard stories about wealthy British landowners in Ireland having a "devil may care" attitude, while being more concerned with making money, like communist leaders when they actually get into power. Like Bernie Sanders 5 houses or BLM leaders multi million dollar houses.
@@jondoe5937 That was not a prevalent attitude however, even among the upper crust and especially not amongst the middle classes who were the voting population. Unfortunately despite not being a majority opinion it was concentrated in the worst places, and many powerful individuals in the Government and the Civil Service held similar views. Amongst the middle classes especially the response was one of donations in Britain, but the main problem is that those donations were often mismanaged, slow to be transported, and often badly targeted. Aid organisations even today can be guilty of such mistakes, but the ad hoc rabble of largely inexperienced volunteers who were involved in distributing the Aid early in the Famine made them all! The problem was that such aid would not be efficiently distributed at that time without Government and Civil Service involvement, and people with those views, whilst a minority, were a POWERFUL minority, and so the involvement of Government took far, far longer than it should have. History is almost never black and white, it is almost always a mix of shades of grey. Ascribing those deplorable opinions to Britain as a whole is a mistake, and is an untruth.

I grow sweet corn, and I could never imagine eating it everyday day in day out. You can throw in some potatoes, zucchini, tomatoes, and definitely some lettuce you need some lettuce in your diet 🙂.
By the end of the video, all I know is Corn for the Corn god! Crops for his cropfield! This can't be misunderstood by the inquisition and the grey knights. I'm sure we'll be fine.
The grim side of me thinks of planets dedicated to the raising of livestock. City sized abattoirs slaughtering thousands if not millions of animals on a daily basis.
I imagine a Chaos cultist sneaking onto an Agri world to spread the word of Khorne only to find that all the inhabitants worship corn and misinterpret everything he says so he leaves out of frustration.
19:00 Arch: It would be ludicrously expensive to level those mountains and then cover that again in dirt. Me: Don't they have this thing called target practice when it comes to orbital bombardment? 2 or 3 tungsten rods from orbit a year and give it maybe a decade to settle the dust and yeah mostly just replacing the topsoil at that point.
Great episode and honestly being on a Agri world or Garden world would be some of the best options for normal workers. Most likely to not die a horrible death.
Makes you wonder why the Imperium's enemies bother attacking Hive Worlds when Agri Worlds are much more valuable targets. Destroy your enemy's food supply and all you have to do is wait. And while I have no doubt that the Imperium is aware of this and will defend an Agri World to the best of their ability, there's only so much you can do to fortify a planet when at least 95% of its surface is devoted to food production.
I may not be accurate but most agri worlds are kept on the dl even from high ranking inquisitors (unless chaos is afoot of course) and they actually stay relatively safe for a 40k world. Very very ignorant of the universe citizens.
A lot of the Imperium's enemies don't think in the same tactical way that we think. For a Khornate warband slaughtering a hiveworld would be a far more valuable act than attackig a lowly agriworld. For a Drukhari raiding party the Hivecity has MUCH more possible slaves so not even a question there , even though smaller parties could decide to play it safer ; their reason wouldn't be your/our current human reasoning. Same for the Tyranids except they just eat all the people , yet maybe the crops of an agriworld might be nutritious as well. And even if the Swarms did attack them they would attack them for this reason , not to tactically starve humans.
Rather than not diversifying food the Imperium doesn't diversify *planets.* The Imperium takes The Planet Of The Hats trope to the extreme to make said planets interdependent. This reduces instances of successful rebellion from single planets - they're either poorly defended, or they'll eventually starve. Not that this stops 'let them eat cake' types from trying their luck.
I can't think about Grox without thinking of the first Rogue Trader game I ever ran. The Rogue Trader himself hailed from an Agri-World that was an enormous Grox Corral who was equal parts George W. Bush and Boss Hogg.
I think one major problem not addressed is how agri worlds maintain bio mass If keep growing food to ship off world the overall mass of the planet will decrease. Let alone the soil fertility Does the ships coming to pickup food bring mountains of poop? Do they clean the hull before loading it again with food?

Use fertilizers? Ammonia nitrate comes to mind, including all the problems it brings with its massive energy requirements.
If you rotate cows or goats onto farm lands, they'll recover the soil very quickly. Farming plants just kills the planet

Depends on the agri-world
Some are industrialized, some are not industrialized but still conservationist in the way you described, and some are blatantly wasteful, like Nazi Germany times 100 levels of wasteful. Most are America level farming tho.

In Star Wars Legends EU there are planets defined as "Green Worlds", Ork jokes aside, these are worlds that the Republic, Galactic Empire, New Republic, Fell Empire, and Galactic Alliance, actively try to keep from ever being industrialized or the very least not turned into something like Nul Hatta, worlds like Alderaan, Naboo, Dantooine, Ithor before its devastation and after its restoration, Telos IV following its restoration, these worlds produce the most abundant amount of food and medical plants in addition to having the best types of hydroponic gardens, you might have cases of more mundane farms like those near running water, enabling them to use the running water for both powering turbines & supply fresh water the plants granted they are poissbly some thing the size of a small island, while other worlds use something in the form of giant domed hydroponic gardens the size of New York, in addition to having water filters to scrub and remove debris and toxins from entering their worlds oceans, the technological process of the people from Alderaan & Naboo is used on many of these enabling the soil not to be contaminated or other things, these worlds also serve as the main source for acts of terraforming and planetary restoration proncesses in the aftermath of wars and other devastating things,
I imagine the Imperium also keeps tabs on these sorts of worlds,
Being fed only corn is a sure-fire way to fall to Khorne.

Just think of it, Proverbs about having to trim back those tainted by blight of sent by Nergal. Stories about the Emperors guardian lamas and dogs for the Inquisition and Space Marines keeping Khorne and the forces of Chaos.
I could go on and on. But that might require me to look up stuff I've forgotten and I'd rather do research on any other subject. Also some old sunday school song is all ready trying to pry its way into that area of the brain where ear worms dwell, and I don't want to encourage it.
Wait if God is a shepherd, why did he make Dragon's, Space Wolves, and giant Fists?
I am more into the idea of worshipping 20. century tractors. The Saints are Jon de Reé, Hanno Mag, and Mercedes of Unimog.
I had thje mental image of a planet borderline (borderline because of course Big E needs to be on the top - of course, with the Emperor depicted as some kind farmer god) deifying the project leader of the biologis team that created the crop that made that planet famous thoughout the sector.
@@waynebimmel6784 and on the Mechanicus agriworld they pray to the bright red Por Sche 111
On some agri worlds the emperor is worshipped as the sun that makes the plants grow or as a god of bountyful harvest. Agri worlds probably have the greatest variety in terms of tech level. Some are basically bronze age nomads others are fully automated GMO factory farms ran by mechanicus genesmiths.

Welcome to our ocean agri world. On a good day you can catch tons of plankton here.Plankton is the fruit of the sea. You can bbq it, boil it, broil it, bake it. There is plankton kebab, plankton creole, plankton gumbo, lemon plankton, coconut plankton...
Hope you do a video on paradise worlds. Vacation planets where the upper crust of imperial society can relax and live out their serial killer fantasies, at least that's what 40 facts said.
And a Kriegsmen's worst nightmare
Just rewatch the dark eldar video, it wouldn't be too far off from Imperial "Pleasure worlds" XD

Corn, the greatest of all choas gods. Seeds for the seed god!! Grain for the grain throne!!
Khorne causes pellagra? I thought that was from Nurgle's garden!
I heard that in agriworlds, bakers make bread with barley that was only recycled 5 times. The water won't melt any machines it spills on, and there is this one fellow in reprocessing that swears by the Emperor that one coin can buy you a full SLICE of 8 headed goatfrog jerky. Yeah, those lucky sons of a bolter have it made in the shade.
Crazy thing is in the states we often farm rice and crawfish in the same location. Maybe that's why the admech love the color red...
Be like sourcing from a pure seaweed algae agri cluster of water planets. Then you just hit it during processing into cubes, patties or powder with your choice of minimal animal typed bone broth powder. This is why you need to always have at least a small amount of salt and pepper available alongside your Imperial Primer.
Someone recently released an STL for a combine harvester Dreadnought, so some dedicated farmer can operate a combine FOREVER...
This model was released by 'Digital Taxidermy' and is called the 'Dreadnought Harvester'
I am curious, would they have lumber producing worlds? I mean we still use wood, it's cheap and very versatile. Heck I guess that the administratum needs a heck of a lot of paper. It amuses me that there could be entire planets dedicated to tree farming among other pursuits
That would go under Quarry Worlds I believe. A planet with strategically important resources that maintain the survival of the Imperium.
Luxury goods use wood.
Also to consider, what's the chances of finding a planet completely covered in trees. Probably very rare so there's not point in squandering it
Good fucking point. Cause those idiots still use paper for everything, they’ll have to have multiple planets of dedicated lumber production. Very ineffective methods are the favorite of the Imperium.

So seriously the Tau and the Imperium should just CHILL the fk down.
The extremes of 40k are great, agriworlds are fascinating as well because it's not strictly something related to battle and combat. It's just a place where they produce food and the potential for that is great.
If I might make a suggestion: how the Iron Warriors conduct a siege.
That can be a very wide topic. They’re the most inventive siege masters in the galaxy. Like they have destroyed entire fortress worlds by simply conquering or destroying the agri-worlds that supplied the fortress world. How the Iron Warriors siege a planet is entirely up to how imaginative/powerful/influential/insane/warp-touched the local Warsmith is.
Remember one of the horror books took place there.
You definitely don’t want to be late with the tithes there.

Are there "ancient" Terra dishes still served in todays imperium? And what would they be? What is the cuisine like for the Imperiums nobles and more well off citizen's? Has GW ever written about food dishes on paradise worlds where many are better off and have closer access to exotic ingredients for dishes?

Corn/maize is not a sentence to pellagra.
Also, don't forget that "better" food is a great way to reward desired behavior. There is a reason why the near infamous "food-loaf" is such a touchy punative treatment in the American penal system. It is a strong incentive to behave within the rules of your living situation.
There will always ways to grow things anywhere we can live. Especially for the Elite, such high-tech urban farms would produce many luxury items.

Well, for Chaos forces humans are more important as resource and there are a lot more humans on hive-worlds.
It does happen. That what the alpha legion MO for a while.
Cooler to fight in ruined cities than empty corn fields lol.
I'm sure a planet full of corn would make the inquisition at least a little bit nervous..........
Cake for dinner again?! NO MORE!!
I can't think about Grox without thinking of the first Rogue Trader game I ever ran. The Rogue Trader himself hailed from an Agri-World that was an enormous Grox Corral who was equal parts George W. Bush and Boss Hogg.
I think one major problem not addressed is how agri worlds maintain bio mass
If keep growing food to ship off world the overall mass of the planet will decrease. Let alone the soil fertility
Does the ships coming to pickup food bring mountains of poop? Do they clean the hull before loading it again with food?
