I'm into some JDM rods and reels, but only BFS stuff. I have the Scorpion BFS xg model, and I have Calcutta conquest BFS arriving through dhl sometime today. These reels have extremely light shallow spools, which allow me to throw ultralight lures.
@@DEBOSFishing Nice! Which Tsurinoya reel did you get? I would hope you got the spirit fox one, because it comes with the lighter 9.5 gram spool. The xf-50 has a 12.5 gram spool. Either way, you can still get the spirit fox spool separately for really cheap, and it will fit in the xf-50. The reel will cast light stuff better with the lighter 9.5 gram spool. These cheaper chinese reels benefit from replacing the bearings with hybrid ceramic ones. You may have to clean the stock bearings, because sometimes they are caked with grease. I have replaced the bearings in both my xf-50s as well as spirit fox spools in both. For rods, you can't go wrong with the Kuying Teton series. The only one of those I have so far is the 5'2" 2 piece super ultralight. It's very limber, like fishing with a wet noodle! Still it's strong, I reeled in a crappie that was around 2 pounds with it! You might want to get a Light or UL one for more hook setting backbone . I will also recommend the really cheap Shakespeare micro series 4'6" UL and 5'6" L spincast rods that you can find locally, even in walmart. The 4'6" UL usually comes in a spincast combo at walmart and other box stores. Just ditch the junky spincast reel, put your BFS reel on it, and done! I have seen numbered lots of the 4'6" UL rods used, on ebay as well .The 5'6" Light rod I got off amazon for 20$ shipped, and it's 2 piece. The 4'6" is 1 piece. Just the other day I landed a few bass on the 5'6" Light ,throwing weightless t-rigged 4" elaztech finesse worms, draggin em over pads. The biggest one had to be around 2 pounds. I have my Scorpion BFS XG on that Light rod. I have one of my xf-50s on one of the 4'6" UL rods. One of the 4'6" combos I got was on sale for under 6$, around xmas time! That's literally the cheapest I ever paid for a decent BFS rod! Alright dude, sorry for writing a novel here lol, good luck.
I did not like the X9 but I used it on casting reel and I blew through an entire spool in about a week because it would dig into my spool and break off mid-cast. Maybe it'll be better on a spinning reel
@@DEBOSFishing i used it on my Frog Rod so 65. I watched your subscriber unboxing and decided to look into that Kalex line. Even if it ends up not being great I couldn't pass up an 1100 yard spool of 65lb braid for $20, so i bought it
Debo, for line, if you haven't, try the Diawa J Braid X8. I know you use the X4 but if you want something a little smoother. I like it and it seems to really cast well. You are saving me lots of money here, great job! I won't have to buy all this stuff now. I can just wait for your vids. to see what works and what doesn't. Curious to see how that new Scorpion works out. Tight lines!
I have tried the x8 and didn't like it as well. It was smoother but it wasn't as resistant to abrasion. Also had some breaking issues on casts. That was with the 30 and 40 lb...didn't go up to 65 lb stuff. You'll definitely see more of the scorpion soon!

Good stuff, Debo. Beast Coast are definitely good folks offering high-quality products. They mentioned they’re working on a spinnerbait line also. Bet they hit it out of the park.
Bang for your buck is right, however..the more and more you fish you really understand higher end gear. It’s just that extra function and ease of use, lightness and performance that just makes it worth it. If you fish at least 2 to 3 times a week then spending more makes sense.
I agree, there is a tradeoff when you go to the higher priced stuff. I still think the gear around $100 is where the best bang is for a recreational angler. Once you go more expensive than that it's things like...betrer/farther casting, weight, comfort, etc. Nothing wrong with spending a bit more on something that will last!

That Scorpion looks sweet. The 6th sense subscription is an awesome deal and always comes with some cool lures. I've been getting it about a year now and I love it.
Thank for the great reviews. So - long story short - I have a new Scorpion in my hand thanks to you. 😀 But clearly I am doing something wrong adjusting the reel - spooled with 30 lb braid and tested today and oh well - it is by far inferior as set up now to all my Daiwas (I have three). Something is off. I turned all four breaks off and literally keep it free spooling. It makes funny sounds while casting and I can literally see the spool stop while the lure still has a lot of momentum. Mediocre casts at bests. Strongly suspect it’s the operator, not the reel. Any suggestions?
DEBO'S Fishing Thank you! Yes, vast improvement. I oiled the brakes race and the gear, respooled with mono and adjusted tension knob and centrifugal breaks as well. It behaves way better. Good reel.
That scorpion looks sick. I’d like to get a scorpion DC at some point. I’ve only ever run power pro, picifun lunker, and spiderwire. The lunker was horrible, but I haven’t had any issues with the other 2.

Been throwing the spros as of recent. Love the action and can’t wait till the girls start hitting on them. All they want to eat is the 2.8 kitechs. Dinks all day today. All 16 of them.
Nice pickups! I have never heard of the scorpion and can’t wait for your review. I am also interested in the braid on the spinning reel stuff. A guide on that would be real nice.
Hey Debo, lots of good stuff in this unboxing! You seriously need commission, I'm really liking the Beast Coast Jigs and the Boss buzzbait are on my list. I'm looking forward to the vid with the Carver swim jig. I just got some Trashmasters but the Carvers look good too!
I like the spider wire stealth braid. I don’t know anything about the four or eight carrier stuff, but I like the line. Have you tried it? Some reviews on the raid you got would be cool, I think at least
Those bluegill baits look fantastic would love to see a video on that and the spider wire ultra cast is something I’ve been curious about for awhile. Tight lines dude!!
After all these unboxings, I picture the last scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark, with you wheeling your boxes of fishing gear into a giant warehouse, completely filled with boxes, never to be seen again. 😆
I use braid to leader on all of my combos and my favorite line is spiderwire.
The spiderwire maybe the Best braided line i tried a lot of other braid (daiwa, berkley... Etc) but the spiderwire NEVER broke if i snagged a lure.

Wheeeewww!!!! Man, I was jonesing for a tackle fix!!!! Don’t scare me like that!!!! 👹👹
Another great vid telling us what we need to know to make a decision about trying it ourselves or waiting to see your results. You are SO GOOD to us!!!!! Thanks for the hard work and expense you go through just because we have questions. I know it’s such a sacrifice (not) to make those gigantic orders!!!! He hehehe!
Seriously, it helps me out a bunch financially!! Tight lines and far winds!!!! 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼🎣🎣
I like to test stuff and it helps you all so it's a win-win situation!
Great video bud I really like ur new reel. Looks basically just like the curado k lol. I need to make me another order from Tackle Warehouse
Yeah, it does look similar to the curado k...just with the MGL spool. Definitely will see more of it soon!
@@DEBOSFishing nice 👌
Always look forward to seeing the new baits you pick up!
Always appreciate you watching brother 👊
That jig off of Karl’s is called the trash master jig. Btw thought those jigs looked great I ordered one myself!
Nice! I need to pick some of those up. Yeah, I'm loving these jigs!
ima has a suspending lipless crankbait you should try out.
What? That sounds interesting...wonder how that does!
I’ve had pretty good luck with the one I ordered. I plan on ordering more now that I’ve had a chance to try it out.
I'm excited about the blue grill swim baits. This looks awesome.
Yeah man, I'm excited to fish them. I'll be putting those to work soon! Thanks for watching 👊
Definitely my favorite fishing channel
I don’t have shad in my home lake in Michigan. Looking forward to seeing how those bluegill baits work. We have a boat load of bluegill in our lake.
I'm excited to try them! I'll definitely be throwing those dudes soon!
love your vids! how big is your tackle collection? tour of your tackle vid soon?
Thanks man, appreciate you watching! I have some stuff but nothing crazy.
Smith wick Devil horse!!!!
That's an oldie and honestly one I never threw...💁♂️
Awesome video bro and the trash master jig is the one on shop Karls with the bait keeper. They work so good for heavy heavy cover can't wait to see more vids!
Yes, that's the one!
That Scorpion looks sweet. The 6th sense subscription is an awesome deal and always comes with some cool lures. I've been getting it about a year now and I love it.
Nice, I saw they are doing a subscription type thing. So far I'm really liking that reel!
Looking forward to a review on that Scorpion reel. Thanks for being reel Debo!
You know I'll be doing one man 👊
Do you know any good braid brands. I just lost 4 fish today because of my line and im sick of losing fish because of it.
The Daiwa J-Braid is what I've been using and it has held up well!
Ooooo, Scorpion MGL! Nice reel Debo, I love mine, so pretty too... only bad thing about it was I had to get another
That hair jig hybrid looks awesome, the hair does amazing things on prespawn smallies up north here... like... amazing things...
Yeah, so far it's a really nice feeling reel. Full review to come soon!
Hmm, how tight do you have the spool tension set? It has the internal and external brakes. Mine was slinging stuff very well.
So far I like the scorpion a lot. The DC would be fun to mess with too!
Those 2 bluegill swimbaits look killer.
I'm excited to throw them!
Debo, I'm a huge fan brother! I've been tournament fishing since I was 7, but i learn so much from you💯💯 I make my own jigs and pour plastics. Tight lines brotha 🤙🎣
That means more to me than you know! Thanks for watching my friend!
Heck of an order man. I've heard good things about the Scorpion...I believe they have a DC version as well 🤔 Love the Little John's! 👊💪
TJ crew rollin deep! ✊
#tacklejunkies 👊🏽💪🏽
Been throwing the spros as of recent. Love the action and can’t wait till the girls start hitting on them. All they want to eat is the 2.8 kitechs. Dinks all day today. All 16 of them.
We'll see how it holds up. Smooth and casts well so far! Hope you're doing well brother 👊
I love the berkley x9 braid.
Nice pickups! I have never heard of the scorpion and can’t wait for your review. I am also interested in the braid on the spinning reel stuff. A guide on that would be real nice.
I'll definitely be doing a review on that reel soon. I can definitely talk more about the braid and spinning reels!
Can you confirm if the teflon coat on the braid make it harder to attach a leader effectively?
With a solid knot I don't think it would hinder tying a leader.
Hey you finally got a left hand retrieve baitcaster
I've already had a bunch and been using them since last year. I use both now!
I love rhr hybrid jigs...look killer in the water! I'll be using that carver jig soon!
I like the spider wire stealth braid. I don’t know anything about the four or eight carrier stuff, but I like the line. Have you tried it? Some reviews on the raid you got would be cool, I think at least
I did use the stealth for a while. I didn't have issues with it. I noticed after a while it started to feel like worn out string?
DEBO'S Fishing I’ve noticed that too, but it seems to keep it’s strength
Have 3 orig scorpions from early 2000s. Fantastic reels and still going. I think you'll like it. Tight lines
That's awesome to hear! So far I'm really liking all of mine!
Love the flat 75 got a bunch of them
They look great! Excited to throw them more!
How is the hardware on the Ima cranks? Keep up the awesome vids!
Seems good. I tested the jerkbaits and the hooks were good. Didn't catch and monsters but they worked well!
I just got a handful of Spro Lil John blanks. They are fun to paint
Yessir, they are cool blanks to paint!
Those blue gills swimbaits look sick. Looking forward to seeing u throw those around.
I'll definitely be throwing those soon 👊
Those bluegill baits look fantastic would love to see a video on that and the spider wire ultra cast is something I’ve been curious about for awhile. Tight lines dude!!
I'll definitely be throwing the gills soon! Thanks for watching 👊
I’m excited to see how to the swimbaits fare!
I'm excited to throw those gills too!
If you get the chance for crappie fishing, how about a 8 pound nanofil , it’s suppose to cast with ease and very far
I have 4lb on my teout rig and it sends those no problem!
After all these unboxings, I picture the last scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark, with you wheeling your boxes of fishing gear into a giant warehouse, completely filled with boxes, never to be seen again. 😆
Hahahaha I can totally see the scene! LOVE the Jones movies! Just picture me as Indy in the scene with the old templar...I CHOSE...WISELY!
Man I’m a hardcore 6th Sense fan! Crank baits, jigs, jerkbaits, and plastics are all money!!!!
They make a ton of good stuff, awesome paint schemes, and good hardware!
Ya im curious how that Berkeley braid is been wanting to try it out
We'll see how it does! Going to slap it on my green combo!
That Huddleston bluegill is awesome, we need to see in action.
Great video like always
I need to get it out with all the vegetation that is growing!
What’s in the box come on n what’s in the box want to see the two blue gill soft baits
Seven...GREAT movie! Definitely will be throwing the swimbaits soon!
Excited to hear your opinion on the bluegill baits and the braided lines!
I'll definitely be doing reviews on them soon! Thanks for watching 👊
Yea man the hook up tackle got good stuff really like them, great order the jigs look crazy good
Yeah, they have a cool shop!
I like the ima packaging!
Yes the Shimano Scorpion review.
Debo u should try out the fish lab biogill glide bait it looks rlly good and isn’t to expensive and imitates bluegills rlly well
Haven't heard of those, I'll keep an eye out!
Had to buy a jdm reel as well this winter and it’s impressive and neat to have something different. Although I went with a daiwa.
Yeah, I've always wanted to try one so I figured why not! Daiwa has some sweet stuff too!
I'm excited to see a "swimbait series" with all these swimbaits you've got !!!!
I've been tossing those biggins...dang if I can find one on em....🤦♂️
