Walking the trails is a good way to stay warm. Your enthusiasm over this location really showed...

Absolutely -- if you're cold, just hike faster! We really enjoyed the state park, as you noticed, and next week we cover the national park, which also is a fun place to visit.

This was our very first camping trip with our first RV 20 years ago. We took this trip in the early spring and the water was shut off so we put water in our tank at home. But being newbies we forgot to close the drain and all our water was gone when we got there. We went into town and got a couple jugs of water and tried to pour it into the little hole. Then I dropped the cap down the hole! We also backed into a tree at our site because our communication between driver and watcher was not so good. It was great fun and we will always remember it. Thanks for coming to Indiana.

Sometimes, the lessons learned during a trip make it the most memorable, and not always in a bad way. Thanks for watching and commenting!

It was pretty crisp out there, but that meant no crowds! 😄 Thanks for watching!

Ya know I've see the sign for that park dozens of times when heading west on I-94/I80 and never stopped. Now I have a reason to stop although I think the shoulder seasons or a week day would be the best times. I don't think it's a camp for a week kind of place but it does look interesting. Keep the good stuff coming. BTW I'm a little closer neighbor now I've moved into one of my rentals in Holt.

Plenty of reasons to stop, even if just to check it out over a weekend. Thanks for your continued support, and welcome to the "neighborhood." 😀

It’s terrible busy in the summer! If you have a worse word than “terrible”, insert that instead. It does have terrific hiking but trails can be poorly marked. Particularly the longest ones. (Pronounced “ Yen’s Yenson”). Nice beard!

We heard it was really packed this summer. We weren't sure if it has always been that busy, although it sounds like it is. With a family history including the name Jensen, it might be tough to get Jessi to start saying it as Yenson, but you never know. 😀 And the beard won't be around for too long, I grew it for No-Shave November. But thanks for noticing -- and, as always, thanks for watching and commenting! -Ari

You were a mile from my house. So glad you knew it was different from the National Park so many get confused and say they are in the wrong place lol. Did you go hiking at Cowel’s Bog? Also Chelberg farm is a great place to visit and hike. The campground used to be twice the size but to many people on top of each other with alcohol didn’t work so they revamped it and made bigger sites and banned alcohol.

That's really interesting to hear about the history of the campground. Do you remember when they made the change? It is really nice now being laid out the way it is. Thanks for watching and commenting!
