Firstly , RIP both Caroline and George, 2 excellent people in their professions. I laughed so much both at the questions and George"s ability to laugh along. He was one of the best players in the world and well known internationally. Pele rated him very highly. So sad that both were trapped in the addiction of acholism. A great interview , the ladies were wetting themselves laughing. i feel so angry how alcohol is still so socially acceptable. Smpkers have been drawn in , how about alcohol, such a curse :( .
What on earth are you talking about? This was only 25 years ago, tons of the people in this video are alive. At 60 some of them are doing just fine at 85. My Irish grandmother was 65 when this was released and she’s alive and kicking to this day. This is a pretty bad comment

Be fair to George, she was poking fun at a lot of personally sensitive stuff and he took it on the chin and played along. For someone of his status, to have that level of humility was extremely commendable. The thing is this kind of joking about troubles with alcohol, and Caroline Aherne was also an alcoholic, between problem drinkers in recovery, and they both were at this point, is very common and a way of dealing with issues. However, George was a world superstar and for him to be that normal and down-to-earth was remarkable.
