Genius marketing move. Instead if getting their shorts in a wad they thoroughly embraced it and used it to come out with a very impressive handgun for folks who don't have a lot of money to spend.
@susanissajoke hi point and jimenez arms fill an important entry level point for people who need personal protection right away where $50 means a lot to them. I dont own a hi point pistol ut they have a valuable purpose.
@susanissajoke $50 is alot of money to a large segment of the population. I know because 13 years ago, that person was me. I could only afford to save $20-25 a pay check. If i needed a gun right away and couldn't afford another $50, I would without hesitation have bought a Yeet Canon. This is a reality for a large segment of the population.
There will always be gun snobs hating on hipoints. I have several handguns from well known manufacturers, but I also have a hipoint C9 in my collection. My YC-9 (Yeet Cannon) is my 6th HP firearm. All have been solid performing for me. The YC-9 is truly next level for High Point! Love your channel! Keep it up!
While it seems that the gun is an improvement over the previous generation, the mag capacity has only gone from 8 rds to 10 rds, not exactly high capacity.
The first handgun I ever bought myself was a Hipoint C9. 1 Was just seeing if I would like shooting handguns back then. Bought a couple of 10 round single stack mags for it as well. Probably about 200 rounds thru it at this point. Malfunctions often. Definitely can always use it to hit someone with it as is heavy.

I had a question on previous home defense videos From watching a lot of ballistic videos, and being prior military, I’ve never seen a hollow tip that stops in the ballistic gel dummy. However the handgun stops with hollow point. I always worry about over penetration. Does the rifle stop inside of the target?
Thats because ballistics gel is a simulation not a direct comparison. Just because a bullet stops in 24" in ballistics gel doesnt mean that it will penetrate 24" in a person. You can only use ballistics test to compare ammo to other ammo fired into ballistics gel, then use real life experience with a round to base a comparison off of. A minimum penetration in ballistics gel is 12". Im not even 12" wide, or barely am. Doesnt mean it will blow through me, it wouldnt. If over-penetration is your concern, hollowpoint is your desired projectile.
I bought the og c9 and after a few hours of working on it, it finally fired 3 rounds in a row, I use in the boat because I can always use it as an emergency anchor at the time it was priced at $110 but now they are over twice that amount
I got one on the way, ordered it immediately this morning 😂 is it a serious gun, for me no, of course not. Will it be a fun gun to mock and let friends and famiky shoot it, absolutely!
