As a Canadian, Filipino people are the absolute best humans, broadly speaking. They’re the hardest working people with an easy-going attitude and great sense of humour. They treat everyone with great respect and affection. Nurse, office manager, nanny, supervisor of any company…. in my experience the Filipino colleagues are THE BEST. This sounds like reverse-racism… but at my old office…. whenever we were hiring for a new position… my boss would get SO excited if he saw an obviously Filipino name. Our Team was very friendly with each other and a bad-tempered person could easily damage the flow and good vibes. But Filipino colleagues are an automatic asset because of their fun and easy going nature… along with their inspiring work ethic. He would always hire them first lol. The Philippines has the second highest cost of living in Southeast Asia (first is Singapore). They will need to work. And the wages will be nowhere near as much as Brandon had been earning in the US.

It's hard to live in the Philippines if you do not have a solid source of income. A farmer don't usually earn enough so I don't know how these two can survive their "fairytale" world without having a real job of their own.
The Philippines has the second highest cost of living in Southeast Asia (first is Singapore). They will need to work. And the wages will be nowhere near as much as Brandon had been earning in the US.
It also would not be cool for Brandon to take a paying job from a Filipino that needs it. Earning about a buck an hour will not do much.
The saying goes: If you want a small fortune in the Philippines, come here with a large fortune.
