i played sans when i was bored for about 2 weeks non stop... ive started paying again and bolstered it to a solid 168. I can almost beat him with my eyes closed. I have also done many no damage runs...
just got finished beating sans. here's something i learnt really quickly.
don't use any healing items on phase 1.
you'll probably die many times not healing during the entire first phase, but it builds an incredibly strong foundation for all your future runs.
not only will you be surviving phase 1 with more health more consistently, you'll also have all of your healing items saved for phase 2, aka when you're actually gonna need them.

This is the only fight where I feel like I have to use the D-Pad. The analog stick on sans is pure hell.

You have to stick the analog HARD RIGHT and then hard up to do the 3rd attack

Additional tips:
If you dont wanna use the burnt pan, the cloudy glasses and torn notebook slow KR drain significantly.
Just move in a circle for the blaster spam attacks, making slight adjustments as needed.
On the final attack, after the first part, hold right immediately after Sans slams you into the wall. This way, you'll avoid a ton of bones.
Does that last one always work? I used it and didn't work

Update: i did it. The thing i dreamed of since When i first played The game. I beat sans. Third try, sweaty, Heart pounding and exhausted, but it was worth it in The end. This tutorial helped a lot. Thanks kelleck.

Nothing to do with the sans battle but heres an easy way to defeat Undyne:
Get the ballet shoes and the tutu in waterfall and ignore all the weaker monsters like whimsun in the ruins escape from ALL the whimsuns don't worry this doesn't abort genocide level up to level 11 and Undyne will be easy as hell and you can save all the snowman pieces
Got him :,D all I would add is that when he throws you against the walls, his arm is much more of a tell than the red boxes, so watch that instead of your soul - and also during the final blaster circle part to initially stay far from the middle and then move close as the blasters speed up. Amazing video!!

Update: I commented 4 months ago when I desperately wanted help with beating Sans. After watching this video, I literally became a God at undertale. I mean it, I got so used to Sans that everything else was nothing to me. Now I can beat Sans first try with ease. Thank you for the video, it was extremely helpful.

As someone who has beaten sans a couple of times I can say that this is very accurate.

A good strategy for the attack with the blue bones if you don't wanna move around too much is to do a really small jump the moment the blue bone passes you, if timed right it can work pretty well. :D

This is a really well made guide. And I feel validated because you've outlined every strategy I had to discover myself
Another thing is that the bone on the ui cannot kill you as they only drain you down to one hp, good time to heal.
Fun fact: If you use the cloudy glasses as armor during the Sans fight, you'll take poison damage slower.

ya know that in the 1th phase, the 3th attack you dont even need to move left and right to avoid getting hit, cuz if you jump just a little to get over the small bone you land right before the blue attack

the hing about the gaster blasters part is that 2 gasters can spawn at the same row making it impossible to go there. and if theres a blast on the next row up. ur cooked.
I beat sans first try because I saw the walkthrough like 15 times and that was a piece of cake
Heres a tip for xbox and playstation players: when sans thrashes you on the bones second phase, jump all the way up while also moving in circles, that way you aren't caught off guard

This genocide run I actually beat undyne only healing with the Quiche and cinnamon buns.

I think I'm a lot more skilled now that I just spent days trying to beat Ceroba in undertale yellow (Genocide run), and I keep almost beating Martlet.
I've never beat Sans before so I decided to try again and I got further than I ever have before.

The thing I struggle with the most is during sand second phase when he slams you against the wall and then bones rise, especially right before he uses his special attack

I thought i needed this for the sans fight because I had 5 LV, but that was at the start and mid-game i decided to be pacifist, and now I skipped sans. I'm genuinely so happy. I've been a fan of undertale for so long, and I never thought i'd actually beat it Undertale, or even Asgore.

4:05 i finally learned the trick for this one (that doesn't involve have a special keyboard)
apparently, holding the jump button makes the heart jump automatically, so all you need to do is to instead of pressing the jump button everytime he tosses you around, you hold it until he changes the gravity direrction, but we all know the real struggle is when Sans tosses you in the same wall (that normally doesn't let you jump) so that's why you should hold the jump button, it makes you jump automatically so it's for 99% make sure you don't jump too late
and idk if this is just me but it's easier for me to watch for Sans arm movement rather than watching the heart, idk why but it's easier for me to follow sans arm movement

Thank you so much I was stuck on this damn fight for like three days I could always get to the second phase but the last attack would always get me, for anyone struggling I would recommend running the cloudy glasses and torn notebook for more iv frames and because the purple bar drains so much slower
I came back to say thank you, months ago I beat him on my old computer (it took 6 months), I am actually really good at it now. My timing has gotten a lot better for everything. And every attack is burned into my skull! I can beat him no problem now and all because of this tutorial, it took a lot of practice though.
This is so helpful there is no way I could beat him without this so thank you

sans is hard at first, but once you know most of the tricks and basically know all the attacks you can probably beat sans pretty easily over and over again if you wanted to, also this is pretty accurate to how i do sans

now to beat underterror toxin sans, easiest fight i ever saw, only get got on phase 3 in a bad run
On the first part of the special attack, if you jump right the bones will not hurt you (until you reach the bone wall)
The fact that I died on sans last attack where the gaster blaster spin two times is cruel
Wow this is actually really good
The majority of Sans' attacks are just muscle memorization. The only ones that aren't would be the 6th and 8th attack in the first phase and the 1th, 2nd, and 3rd attacks in the second phase. You also flat out forget the 4th attack. That attack is similar to the 2nd attack except the bone hights are different. It too isn't muscle memorization, just fast thinking. Those are the two types of attack: muscle memorization and fast thinking.
The bones that slide left and right are bone slide no.1 the ones that go up and down are bone slide no.2

UPDATE: i reached his final attack, and with like 2 sec left i died. im better but i havent finished him off yet.
I actually was able to keep my snowman pieces after undyne, but I used almost every other type of healing item 😅
If you want to beat undyne and keep all three snowman pieces just put the snowman pieces in an inventory box and stock up on all crab apples and c.buns
I've tried this and after beating sans twice he has gotten easy am getting to the final attack on like every attempt great vid you really helped me thanks
