That was an amazing transformation. Love the dremel saw trick. I’m so happy to see you cover the drawer glides to protect from paint. It came out great for a cheap piece of furniture.
Adding the wood strips on the drawers gives character and dimension to the piece. The color contract between the barewood and the drawers below you've picked up is perfect. Brilliant as usual!
I always appreciate you do all the mechanical repairs before prepping and painting. Having been inpatient, I have moved to refinishing before all repairs are completed. It ALWAYS bites me in the butt when I mar my new finish. You are a pro!
I used to do that. I learned my lesson....my German Dad used to say to take time to do it right in the first place, or I'd have to make time to do it over....
Katie that turned out so cute! Navy is my favorite furniture color right now> I really appreciate your classy, chic touch on all your pieces and your straightforward, no-nonsense way of teaching what you have learned over the years. Thank you.
Excellent job, turned out so well! Like the combination of light and dark colors. The way you laid down the vertical spars across the three drawers was so ingenious and ensured perfect alignment. Thanks for sharing your skills.
Great outcome from a sad-looking starting point! The new color/contrast look and added texture to the drawers is on-point for today's marketplace. Congrats! FYI one can successfully mix oil based stains and water base top coats - I use General Finishes gel stains and Varathane water based polycrylic top coat all the time - perhaps you don't have the time to wait 72 hrs to ensure the stain is absolutely dry, a must. (Note even General Finishes website says it is okay). But whatever works for you, it came out gorgeous!
Hi Katie, I’m late watching this but better late than never, right? Ohhh I absolutely love it, it turned out beautiful! As always you never disappoint! Job well done. ❤
Wow! Great idea for using the Dremel tool. Cutting and piecing each piece would have been an absolute nightmare. Stellar work that we have come to expect from you! Hope the new owner appreciates your hardwork. A piece I would be proud to have in my home!
Beautiful! Katie I subscribed to your channel in order to learn techniques, but now I realize you not only teach technique, you are truly an artist. Thank you for all you share!
Love your transformation! I have a few pieces that would look great if I just knew what to do to give them new life. You've given me the ideas and inspiration to take on my first project.
I love this update on this piece!! Ash is one of my favorite colors and the stained top drawer, hardware and textured surface you added are such a fantastic add to this! As always I learned something new so thank you!!
I love this piece. Great refurbish job and the best trash to bespoke treasure I think you’ve ever done. You just keep getting better! Love your channel! ❤
Great job, as usual! I love the contrast between dark paint and the warm wood finish. Altogether a much more interesting and better looking piece than its original condition.
The added wood strips are great and gives such dimension and interest. I don't mind the top drawer done the way you did but I think I would have preferred it to be the same as the dresser only because the wood strips were the star. Beautiful job as always Katie. Love your videos.
Creative solution to this boring little chest. You, always, come up with great, workable ideas. I am limited in my woodworking skills, so I try to do easy, manageable improvements. My idea boosters are, usually, Pinterest or UA-cam creators....like YOU!!!! Thanks for posting and sharing! 👏👍✨😍❤
Katie; I love it when you use your sprayer! Never any overspray and smooth finish. I am a total spaz with a sprayer, so I really appreciate your level of expertise with spraying. Thanks for sharing your artistry with us and please keep saving these pieces of history. ♥♥♥!
Wow! I’ve got to admit, when you started adding the lattice on the bottom three drawers, I was like 😱, then when you painted the dark blue, I liked the color, but plot twist, that top drawer wasn’t working in that paint wash, and so I was not down for the lattice and unsure of the natural finish. Then I saw the knobs and thought, hmm, not what I would have picked, and then you put it all together and it was GORGEOUS!! I love it! And just confirms for me why I’m not a conceptual person and have to see something all finished. I love this one! 🤩 Brava!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
I LOVE all of your furniture finds, but more importantly, your vision and skill to transform each piece you find/buy into incredible works of art! Where did you learn how to use these power tools and how to approach the repairs--amazing to me! Thanks for sharing your inspiration with us---and keep on transforming!!
Thank you for your videos and instruction. Based on your inspiration, I’ve been renewing a few family hand-me-downs ❤ haha and with my new knowledge of how that goes, I have more appreciation for your patience and expertise. You’re so good you make it look easy! Thank you!!!
Katie, you said it perfectly. This is furniture with a soul. It is a piece that could land anywhere in a home and provide function with style (with a capitol S). For some reason.... it just grabs me.
Beautiful. I have a similar but lightly larger dresser, in need of TLC. This is very close to my vision of my dresser, but I never thought of wood strips.....gonna give that a go for sure!
A Beauty !!! Making a dull piece off furniture in to something really special !!! Love the color in combination with the wood and it is matching amazing !
That's quite delightful. You made a piece of trash into a sleek, contemporary piece of furniture. I love it. May I please suggest that you hold the camera on at least one still, long shot at the end, so we can take in the entire finished article. I mean no offence, but the constant panning made me a bit sea-sick and I don't feel like I got a good, solid impression of the overall aesthetic. Looking forward to your next transformation. 🙂
I've already watched this video twice! 😂 I have a similar-ish piece sitting in my garage... and now I know what I'm going to do with it! Keep up your amazing videos and inspiration. ❤
That was a lot of hard work you put in to making this work and it’s beautiful. I’m hoping once I do a couple of smaller pieces that I’ll be able to refurbish my own bedroom set. Thanks for the channel.
Great job! You took a cheap piece of furniture and upscaled it to something wonderful. Even better you give back to the earth by saving it from the landfill and then donating it to someone who really needs it. More flippers should do the same.
I love everything about it except for the hardware. I think something gold or brass would give it an extra pop of shine that would contrast well with the dark paint & stain.
That was an amazing transformation. Love the dremel saw trick. I’m so happy to see you cover the drawer glides to protect from paint. It came out great for a cheap piece of furniture.
Katie you are a true artist!! I love watching your transformations. 💕
The dremel idea was so good! Love that you acknowledged it wouldn't work in every situation but used your instincts to make a smart judgement call!
Adding the wood strips on the drawers gives character and dimension to the piece. The color contract between the barewood and the drawers below you've picked up is perfect. Brilliant as usual!
Very nicely done 😊. Also I LOVE those original metal hardware so very much, please use them somewhere next!
As always, you do beautiful work, Katie. Stellar job. What a rescue!
It might not be perfect, but it's very, very cute and someone will LOVE to have this sweet little dresser. Beautiful job, as usual!
I’d have that chest in my home; unique, appealing & comes with a history!! 👏🏼
Katie I love your Jobs, ❤congratulations from Argentina!!!
Your work is amazing!!! Wish I could be your assistant! Also how fortunate you are to donate these gems. Thank you for your channel!
When you cut the strips and separated the drawers I was like Katie is such a gangster! I love it 💪🏽❤️

Hi Katie,

Ohhh I absolutely love it, it turned out beautiful!
As always you never disappoint! Job well done. ❤
Great colour combo and the wood detail looks amazing 😍
Wow! Great idea for using the Dremel tool. Cutting and piecing each piece would have been an absolute nightmare. Stellar work that we have come to expect from you! Hope the new owner appreciates your hardwork. A piece I would be proud to have in my home!
Well done!!! You are by far such a great “flipper” to watch and learn from! Thank you so very much, by the way this piece is really beautiful ❤
Beautiful! Katie I subscribed to your channel in order to learn techniques, but now I realize you not only teach technique, you are truly an artist. Thank you for all you share!
Absolutely beautiful K! And inspiring-I have a similar piece and this was a great concept I’m going to embrace!
Adding the wood strips elevated the “cool” factor! As always, an enjoyable video. Love to watch your creative process!
I like how you think out of the box to get things done! The dresser came out amazing!😀
Katie! The piece you used as a work top at 12:34 is GORGEOUS! I would put that into my home exactly the way it is! I love the dresser remake too!
I am so proud of your finished work. And the teaching that went into it is so useful to me.
Love your transformation! I have a few pieces that would look great if I just knew what to do to give them new life. You've given me the ideas and inspiration to take on my first project.

Another beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece. Well done Katie ♥️
What a great transformation! Looove the colours and I am very happy you saved it from the dump! ❤
“Furniture with a soul.” Never heard a more apt description of what you do! Beautiful work!
I love incredible furniture transformations like this one! :)
Katie, this turned out quite well! Absolutely Lovely!!!
Great job, as usual! I love the contrast between dark paint and the warm wood finish. Altogether a much more interesting and better looking piece than its original condition.
Love the contrast from the wood to the blue! You really have a eye for design! 😊
Gorgeous. Love the texture with the added wood strips. Well done.
Love the chest of drawers. You did a great job as always. ❤
The added wood strips are great and gives such dimension and interest. I don't mind the top drawer done the way you did but I think I would have preferred it to be the same as the dresser only because the wood strips were the star. Beautiful job as always Katie. Love your videos.
Katie, I really admire the effort you put in to ensure your final product looks both professional and beautiful! You are terrific at your job!!!
I love the style. It's a work of art Katie. You are indeed the furniture whisperer!
Katie it’s beautiful and so deserving of your transformation. The old dressers are treasures to be saved.
WOW! SO CREATIVE AND CLASSY!!!!!
That looks incredible

SOOOO GOOD, KATIE! 🤩 I did a similar project a while ago too but nowhere near as stunning as this! 😍😍😍

Marvelous!!!! If you hadn't captured the before, no one would ever believe it was that horrid, dirty, outdated piece!!!! Really enjoy your videos 🤗
You created a whole new style……….Midcentury Biedermeier and I just love it. I think you should create MORE of it ❤
As always, what a success!!!! That looks fantastic! Thanks for showing and explaining the process of fixing the drawer guides.
Oh my goodness!! I love this makeover on this dresser!! It’s incredible!!!! ❤
It always amazes me how much cleaning improves so many of these flips, as a start.
You did an AMAZING job keeping those cuts straight while free-handing!
A Beauty !!! Making a dull piece off furniture in to something really special !!! Love the color in combination with the wood and it is matching amazing !

Amazing job. Do you have a link to your specific HVLP spray gun? Thanks
All I can say is wow! You do such an amazing job with so many tips and tricks. I enjoy watching you transform each piece. 😊
This is a very beautiful transformation!!!🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵
Brilliant to attach the wood with the drawers installed. My OCD thanks you for that, as well as caulking the strips before painting. 😊
That was a lot of hard work you put in to making this work and it’s beautiful. I’m hoping once I do a couple of smaller pieces that I’ll be able to refurbish my own bedroom set. Thanks for the channel.
Love it. Great work doing the embellishments while the drawers were in place. Otherwise, it was doomed to fall short. THanks for sharing!
It's beautiful Katie
It's absolutely adorable! Another piece saved from landfill damnation ✅
Luv it
I always luv ur contemporary pcs

Beautiful 🌹 you are so creative.i learn a Lot from you. GOD Bless you ✨🏡✨ Katie 🌹
Great job! You took a cheap piece of furniture and upscaled it to something wonderful. Even better you give back to the earth by saving it from the landfill and then donating it to someone who really needs it. More flippers should do the same.
As always, love it! Such a unique, pretty piece and an entertaining video. The only way to make it better is if there was a new video every day.😂😂😂
Another wonderful rescue and transformation! Way to go!!! Love it!!
No surprises here, another amazing transformation 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I loved it! A picture when you found it in the trash would have been good. Someone always has an opinion!!🙄. Great flip, I loved it and learned a lot!
Beautiful as always😉
Such an amazing makeover!! You are truly so talented!! Thank you so much for a great tutorial!!
Katie! That’s perfection! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love it. The painting technique reminds me of Angie`s work from Trancend Furniture.
You are so talented. Ohmigoodness, you work hard, that is a lot of work. I could watch these furniture makeovers all day.
It’s gorgeous. I love how you take the discarded and make it beautiful. Furniture with a soul. ❤
Holy cats - classy looking ex-trash, never would have believed it’s origins.
I love this!
Why don't you just use oil based paint? Yes, it takes longer to dry, but 2 coats and ur done. No top coats are needed. Very durable.
I love everything about it except for the hardware. I think something gold or brass would give it an extra pop of shine that would contrast well with the dark paint & stain.
I painted my mom’s kitchen in fusion ash and I love it. I learned everything from you!😄
Nicely done, love FMP Ash, the lighter stain is a beautiful contrast.
