Dear Conversation Capital, this Gentleman is the most Intelligent guy I have listened to from SA, his deep analysis and perspectives and his understanding of Geo-Politics and how it impacts not only SA but the whole SADCC and Africa is reassuring that with young leaders like him we have a great future. I think if SADCC had another 8 young leaders who think like him SADCC would soar to such heights never seen before.
Mooshtaffa just basically explain the idea of what the Black Panther movie is all about partially from a power perspective (Resources and Ruling). Fight and power struggle over resources.
What a powerful conversation. Cant wait to read that book. I'm one of the people wondering what my contribution to the country could be after experiencing expat life. We are living in unprecedented times and its quite honestly scary to think that the baton is literally in our millennial hands😅 I'm so unserious... like me, change country's trajectory awoa. On a serious note though, I am educated and my take home from this we need to unlearn reliance on government for radical transformational solutions.
Zimasa Vabaza: I'm an entrepreneur, Where there is Chaos, there is opportunity spoken like a true capitalist😂😂 I need more Entrepreneurial content from this guy, GREAT CHAT, Siyabonga
Loved this episode. The brother had many fine points. What stood out to me the most was that too many in leadership are of a certain age. Get them out. That is the same problem we are facing where I am from. MOST Old people have old ideas and don't embrace change and technology and most refuse to make room for the younger generation in politics.
Thank you for the conversation, it was informative. It highlighted the responsibility that we have to understand what is happening around us so that we can change things for the better. Can't wait for the book.
Hi Ursula, look I like your episodes and keep up as much as possible. I'm not trying to tell you what to do with your channel but I was wondering if you could get someone from the 2000s and ask them what they think about the problems plaguing our country. There is a gap in interests and education between people born before 2000 and afterwards. For instance we grew up with social media and a sterilised version of history in our country and so therefore we do not have a clear lens of the reality we are living in.
Hi Chad, firstly know that we welcome comments on different topic ideas and guest suggestions, so don’t ever think we’ll think you’re “telling us what to do with our channel” … then secondly on the idea, thank you-we’ll definitely chew on it, if you have a guest suggestion for it, we’re all ears ♥️
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I looooove this. I looove effective journalism. I looove patriotism. I loooove being exposed to more reasons to not leave our country. It's so easy to want to get my money right and leave the country because "oh boohooo everything is failing." But I swear, man, I reeeaaalllyyy KNOW - not believe - that there's sooo much that each of us can do to contribute to the stabilizing and beautifying and thriving of our nation. I think so many of our young people want to participate in the growth. Behind the distractions and the partying and being hung up on the things that seem to numb us, most of us yearn to contribute to the solidification of our country. Lol. I'm writing all this because I'm filled with passion right now, and I'm only 27 minutes into this conversation😂. Mxm.❤❤❤❤❤❤
..the person who was running the government was T.M and T.M ran it for quite a while and go look at the stats. The last time South africa had a budget surplus was around, I think was around 2004 to 08 We had more money, we had more money than we were spending. A very slept on conversation!!!
U.S. person here - I resonate strongly with the anger that our grandparents are still running the country. I'm angry that the US hasn't responded to climate change seriously as it really is a problem the US created, both with it's own industrialization but also in the global hegemony of finance, trade and energy. The reason climate change is a global problem is because we (the US) made the global order as it exists today. It's interesting that the arguments Zimasa is making about the availability of fossil fules echo communities in middle America. The fossil fuel producing states, when they push back against attempts to limit new fossil fuel production, say "we need to be energy independent," "we have historically used coal", "should we sacrifice our industrial and energy development just because someone else is claiming there is a problem." For clarity, as an outsider, I am not saying that Zimasa's comments are invalid when it comes to South Africa or the region generally - only a fool would say they are equivalent given the histories of exploitation. Still it's striking how similar the sentiment is.
I cannot agree more with the brother. Yes a macro economic view is important however we need to interrogate the political economic intersect too, this bothers me more unless macro economics includes its political economic dimension too. An African regional approach is an absolute because we have and are building greater solidarity amongst our nations. We cannot go this alone simply because we compete with regional blocks such as the EU, the UK and the US the so called west. Continue brother we need to make this widely known it resonates with quite a lot of other voices.
totally agree. i always tell people to look at things from a macro perspective and geopolitical position. all systems trickle down. its ridiculous to look at jhb without considering south africa or south africa without analysing its positin in the region and continent and the continent and its position in the globe. all things play through each other.
The Potential Greatness of South Africa will only truely begin to show fruition once SADC as a region is POLITICALLY, CIVICALLY and ECONOMICALLY CONSOLIDATED and UNIFIED. Finish n Klaar.
There was a point were ESCOM was a profitable entity. Where did we go wrong? Illegal connections also plays a role in its demise and non-payment by customers, yet we pay DSTV on our households.
Hi Conversation Capital, may you please enable downloads as some of us enjoy watching/listening to you guys white we commute and other areas don't have proper coverage😢 so we end up involuntarily changing to music or fm. Please. Love your chanel.
I always ask myself just how sustainable are renewable energies as much as I care about the environment particularly AIR QUALITY I worry about our energy security in the whole Southern africq
i am from Namibia and I am going to subscribe to your channel and his ...I live in SA .SA supply electricity to Nam .... we have great potential to supply half of our country with electricity from wind energy but stupid politics is fucking us up ..................
I've always asked myself why there is never any suggestion of a referendum when it comes to the issue of land? This constitution is a fallacy, it works for everyone else but us black people. We need a revolution.
Hosts topic was loadshedding then Zimase boom changed the whole thing to economics of energy... Then hosts could not ask any critical questions but were amazed to Zimase's knowledge 😂😂
As individuals we honestly need to support our own who are in small business...stop buying LV when we could see starting a community garden for your community....educate our children instead of saying hhhay she will get married sithole ilobolo!!! Small things...

I have always said this to people, South Africa is too good a country for it to be doomed.
You help someone the first time you create an appreciation, 2nd time you create an anticipation, 3rd time an expectation, 4th it’s now entitlement!!
My brother Vabaza is special talent…

This conversation is great but please people should not think its gonna come from the sky ..... find a solution and great a business
Was just a having a thought that talk radio needs younger narratives, Mooshtaafa would do well on talk radio
I sometimes think these NPO are not African. They are the biggest part of our problem.

This interview was not long enough
He lost me when he said he's a capitalist. Everything went bad from there. There was a lot the host could have push back on.
I think our constitution is amazing flopo its the enforcement and regulation. There is a huge gap between us and the constitution. Beki is part of the problem
