Holy crap! I remember as a kid playing and my friend said the red dot means he didn't need that water energy and if he used it it doubled the attack. Today is the day I found out, my friend was a cheater.
I would love to see more error videos, it’s nice to have knowledge that way we can keep our eyes open, especially for me that Im a beginner in Pokemon. Thanks Rusty! Greta video
I also wish the thumbail pikachu was real. It looks so cyber punk that i wish it exists even though i wouldnt be able to afford one. Loved thr other pikachus too. I knew about the e3 but never seen thr poke tour 1999 one. Great video thanks for making it!
The 'for a monster ball' translation on the kakuna card is a literal translation. Because in Japan poke balls are called monster balls. And Japan is Pok'emon's original language. So 'for a monster ball's is not a mistake.
Talking a lot about Base pikachu. Fun fact: Arita originally illustrated it with Red cheeks, however, they thought the cheeks should be yellow, so they changed it for the main set release... mostly. haha
Man I love error cards. I’ve got some no symbol jungle holos from back in the day. I really enjoy the test print cards. I have a few really awesome ones in my binder I’ve been working on. Thanks for sharing again!
a 7.5 BGS is like a 9 PSA. They are so much more lenient when it comes to grading. The BGS sub grades mean they actually care enough to calculate everything and not just look at a card and throw a random grade on it based on guessing
This is my kind of video. I absolutely love errors. There was a southern island's mew that had the holo shift. Was wondering if you bought that one? A few years ago, I had the chance to get a sealed e3 pikachu for 10 bucks. I try not to think about not getting it, cause it makes me want to cry
Hey TCA, I have a Neo Destiny unlimited Shining Tyranitar with a typo in the pokedex entry box at the bottom. Nothing exciting I know but I was just wondering how well-known it is or if anybody cares.
There is also a base set 1st Ed Pikachu with the first edition logo printed on the back of the card. I don't know if it only came out in packs or if it was in a theme deck or what. There's also a Charmander with the same error I actually own a copy of the Charmander and I know at one point @ Gem Mint Pokemon had a copy of the Pikachu.
I wish you would mention the error from Mewtwo Mayhem Evolutions theme deck where back of the cards were printed over the front which made the cards look very messed up and the back was completely white. So far only one deck is known to exist with this error,so only 59 or 60 cards in total(not sure if mewtwo holo had the error but I would say that it didn’t). I’m proud to have one of these cards :D Which is Professor Oak’s Hint. These are one of the most extreme misprints that I’ve seen
Elite Pikachu Collection. Ninetales Error is the 👑. I hope a few more Brushfire Decks surface, especially if captured on Video. But people really don't like opening them and destroying the value anymore. Love the Video of opening the 4 Ghosts from the Zap.
Lots of cool errors. I am interested to see if Yugioh finds a lot of these very small errors in the future. I feel like the knowledge of errors in Yugioh is not as prevalent as Pokemon, it seems like there are multiple in every set.
Konami has the worst Quality check ever when it comes to TCG. There are so many errors out there that they are rarely deemed valuable. I mean just look at the test cards that get put into packs. They aren't worth very much. People just don't care as much in the YGO! community because of how many actually exist. Now, if the errors were less common then for sure there would be more excitement over them.
I know there are collectors of Dark Beginning 1 misprinted name errors because I've sold every one I get from collections for a decent amount and quickly too.
I recently found my childhood pikachu card and always remembered just thinking it wasn’t 1st edition before I knew all the technicalities and noticed the unmistakable “E ition” text. It’s probably about a PSA 6 If to guess but I thought it was cool either way. Do you think a card like this is worth grading? The front surface is pretty good but some whitening on the back.
As a kid when I used to pull roughly miscut cards I would rage the hell out of me and blame the company for not making a good job. If I could go back in time I would tell my own younger self to be happy with it as some years later those cards would be highly valuable cards. Smh...
Love the video. For some reason I remember watching out for more errors back in the day. But my memory is not so great haha. I remember there being lots of errors with grass type pokemon in base set.
Very informative I’ve been finding a lot of over printed cards like I got 3 v cards from shining fates printed on 3 cards from rebel clash the tyranitar urshifu and a flapple Vmax these were the cards in the background the actual cards are indeedee v crobat v and ditto v all from shining fates and I’ve been finding misfit cards cut cards and a few ink smears ! And I’ve pulled them all from sealed product !
Great video Rusty! I can't think of any you've missed, except for uncorrected ones like the first few cards you mentioned (i.e. Shadowless Caterpie with HP 40 instead of 40 HP; Gyarados with 6/102 misaligned; Impostor Professor Oak instead of Imposter Professor Oak on Shadowless; etc.) And for anyone else reading this. If you want to see more variations of this Pikachu artwork from different sets like XY Evolutions or the Pikachu World Collection 2000 for example (or more obscure errors like Grey stamp; Thin stamp; stamps at the back of the card; etc.), I've created this article that mentions all of them: efour.proboards.com/thread/5803/base-pikachu-artwork-card-variations
Hey Tca, question. What are you seeing in the Pokemon space right now as far as prices of vintage cards and sealed product with this virus and market downturn? I’ve seen some videos about the vintage mtg space falling off a cliff and was wondering how it was effecting Pokemon.
Some errors, the really unusual ones, I get those, but I don't get what the big deal is about some of the basic "errors" (if you even want to call them that) that people will pay for on Pokemon cards....Things like miscuts, print dots, etc. Those kinds of factory mistakes have happened for decades in the sports card world and no one really cares about them. They happen so often and most just either don't notice them or toss them aside if they hurt the value of a card.
PSA doesnt grade Ghost Stamp pikachu anymore? Where do you see that? I have one that I want to send in with my other childhood rares.... should I send it to CGC instead? or maybe Beckett?
Heya, my favourite collection was the black star promo set. I haven’t got any of them graded but they are all in pretty great condition. Not sure if that’s a set you have collected or know too much about but would love to see a comprehensive run through so I can work out exactly what I’m missing including errors etc. I’m missing JR rally meowth and the inverted WB error cards from the movies but think I have all the rest of the set. Including sealed and non sealed versions. (Apologies if this is something you’ve covered in a previous video)
Hi I was wondering if you have ever seen gyarados holo unlimited base HP that is boarded with yellow ,I bought a collection from the US in 2006 and this card was part of that collection.
I have a reverse magmar from evolutions and the entire card is yellow, the foiling, magmar itself. I wish I could send you a picture. Don't know what to make of it
Does Beckett still verify the Ghost 1st edition stamp? I have a card like this and I’m hoping to have it graded regardless of condition due to the rarity of the misprint
I got a question. I got a Shining Fates sealed booster pack that has all different shades on it and green stars instead of yellow. Also the pack art itself when looked at in hand in light looks holographic whereas the normal packs do not. What kind of worth can I put to that after getting it graded?
How do you have enough money to support this collection? I know you sell your collection, but you said you’d buy a 6k$ Ninetails if you could. That’s big pimpin !! Lol
You never explained where the shadowless red cheeks Pikachu came from, Ive been interested in knowing. I know the E3 one came from a promotional deck, either that or just as a promotion at the beginning of the Pokémon TCG when it was revealed at E3. But the non E3 one I don’t understand
I had almost collected the whole 1st edition set when i was 10 and someone robbed me for most of them makes me sick to think about i would of loved to pass them down to my boys
Hey I have a question. I opened a hidden fates pack and the rare which was a shiny drampa, was printed so low a good portion of the card was missing. On the back, it didn’t even have the blue border at the bottom just around the top, left and right side. I contacted Pokémon and sent it back to them and they are replacing it with another one and sending freebies they said due to the error. I’m thinking now, should I have kept that card or is it not gonna be worth anything. I only ask because I’m watching ur video now and it makes me wonder hahah
Nice video bro!! I have all my pokemon cards with the number first and then with the HP but it appears that they were made in 1999, not in 1999-2000, is it correct that they appear like this?
Hey TCA, I picked up a Chansey Base Set 2 holo off of Ebay a couple years back, but thing is, it's a blank holo. No Chansey on the card, only the holo in the background. The card appears to be 100% legit and there are no signs of the Chansey being scratched off or removed manually by someone. Have you heard of anything like that or seen one before??? Would love your input. Thanks!
I like how you said that you wont talk about those more common errors, but than you still tall about them. Not gonna lie, if I had all these errors, I would find it hard not to talk about them either.
Very cool and interesting video! But what about the Charizard (from Base Set) with the 1999-2000. Most of the Charizards have 1999, so I wonder if that´s an error or something else? I haven´t seen that "error" too many times but I know there are :)
TLDR 125 Comments: How does PSA decide to validate misprints? Didn't see a misprint that I'm aware of on a Pikachu but maybe because its a one off or corrected...?
Holy crap! I remember as a kid playing and my friend said the red dot means he didn't need that water energy and if he used it it doubled the attack. Today is the day I found out, my friend was a cheater.
If there was an error Pikachu like that thumbnail pic, that would look glorious! Wish it were true.
Haha huge click bait!
Yea man, I'm literally a base set pikachu varient collector. He didn't need to lie to get my attention, I would have clicked on this video anyway.
I would love to see more error videos, it’s nice to have knowledge that way we can keep our eyes open, especially for me that Im a beginner in Pokemon. Thanks Rusty! Greta video
Base set fat Pikachu is one of the best cards ever! Iconic, thank you for sharing.
Should do errors for each set, I'm stuck at home, need entertainment and knowledge
Talking a lot about Base pikachu.
Fun fact: Arita originally illustrated it with Red cheeks, however, they thought the cheeks should be yellow, so they changed it for the main set release... mostly. haha
My favourite errors are Butterfree 'd' edition and the Ancient Mew Nintedo error. Also gotta love corrected Blaine's Charizard.
Were not going to talk about these cards *proceeds to talk about the cards* 🤣🤣🤣
Came into a copy of the NInetales a few years back. Probably my favorite card in my collection.
The excitement in the voice as the video goes on. You can hear the passion for collecting.
Really informative. Great video, there’s plenty of branches for this topic in future videos.
I am absolutely fascinated by all of these errors/ variants. Please make more videos like this! So dope!
Thanks rusty, errors always impress..still reminds me of my square cut scyther and victreebell 1st ed jungle holos I had as a kid.
Zach Klippa love square cut cards
Did you pull them or what? Always curious about square cut cards.
Think i might just go ahead an make a tca gaming playlist, theres so much to learn from this guy. Thank you Rusty, great content as always 👍
This is my kind of video. I absolutely love errors. There was a southern island's mew that had the holo shift. Was wondering if you bought that one? A few years ago, I had the chance to get a sealed e3 pikachu for 10 bucks. I try not to think about not getting it, cause it makes me want to cry
First addition butterfree ink dot that makes it a "d addition"
Hey TCA, I have a Neo Destiny unlimited Shining Tyranitar with a typo in the pokedex entry box at the bottom. Nothing exciting I know but I was just wondering how well-known it is or if anybody cares.

Just looked at my old collection. Turns out I have 3 Diglett error cards and a shadlowless! Pretty cool
I wish you would mention the error from Mewtwo Mayhem Evolutions theme deck where back of the cards were printed over the front which made the cards look very messed up and the back was completely white. I swear you pull pikachus out like it is going out of fashion
Lol “ we are not going to cover these these and especially not these..” I think u got it covered tho lol! Love the vids xP
I have the diglett with sideways attack energy, didnt buy it but found it in my old card box when I was going through it lol
Elite Pikachu Collection. Ninetales Error is the 👑. I hope a few more Brushfire Decks surface, especially if captured on Video. But people really don't like opening them and destroying the value anymore.
Love the Video of opening the 4 Ghosts from the Zap.
Awesome vid! I didn't realize pikachu had so many errors!
Love errors bro they're so fun to collect. That beedril is pretty Interesting never seen that one before and I'm def gonna keep my eye out for one.
Cheack me out ua-cam.com/video/at4ttjdTVAY/v-deo.html

What is the origin of square cuts? Have they come from boosters or are they some sort of employee leaks? The legit ones, not cut of sheets afterwards.
Great now I have to go through my whole collection! Thank you for the info
As a kid when I used to pull roughly miscut cards I would rage the hell out of me and blame the company for not making a good job.
If I could go back in time I would tell my own younger self to be happy with it as some years later those cards would be highly valuable cards. Smh...
I'll have to check my collection for these. Thanks!
i absolutely love these types of videos. Thanks for sharing so much Pokemon info. I have learned so much from watching all your videos
Love the video. For some reason I remember watching out for more errors back in the day. But my memory is not so great haha. I remember there being lots of errors with grass type pokemon in base set.
Hey i have a jungle Pikachu , with a misprint that i can't find anywhere . Instead of it saying on the top right 50HP it says 50IP
I spent my whole childhood thinking everyone knew about the year 23,000 rockets Arbuk error.
It was complete issue
Had me in my base set binder looking lol
Nice vid, Rusty! Thanks! I've noticed that the Shining Tyranitar reads "hust" instead of "just" in its lore lol.
Me: wow though cards are cool. Also me: when is he going to open the hidden fates?
Great video Rusty! I can't think of any you've missed, except for uncorrected ones like the first few cards you mentioned (i.e. Shadowless Caterpie with HP 40 instead of 40 HP; Gyarados with 6/102 misaligned; Impostor Professor Oak instead of Imposter Professor Oak on Shadowless; etc.)

Lookin forwad to this series honestly, i asked for something like this on efour a month ago
Very cool content, thanks for pushing out so many videos! :D (I love base set!)
I just found a shadowless charmander with a print layer shift, small white line above the bottom border. I can't find any like it online
I remember you talking about an e3 error all the way back in 2017. That was before I even subscribed.
I think the voltorb one is cool. Never heard of that or the Diglett one or the Beedrill one.
How about grey stamped first editions?
Hey Tca, question. What are you seeing in the Pokemon space right now as far as prices of vintage cards and sealed product with this virus and market downturn? I’ve seen some videos about the vintage mtg space falling off a cliff and was wondering how it was effecting Pokemon.
PLEASE CONTINUE THIS SERIES!!
Even back then, Pikachu had the most representation in media.
ua-cam.com/video/at4ttjdTVAY/v-deo.html
watch the value of these error cards go up on ebay now that ppl know what to look for, which is your favorite error card?
I’ve got a lighter pikachu and a darker pikachu not sure what’s up with those two but perhaps you’d know. Both seem to have same exact text.
Just started collecting errors. So excited about this video.
PSA doesnt grade Ghost Stamp pikachu anymore? Where do you see that? I have one that I want to send in with my other childhood rares.... should I send it to CGC instead? or maybe Beckett?
I think they started again after CGC did
Great video.love it.soo many good cards
Do you have any tips for buying cards bulk or single to grade? eBay doesn’t seem the best place to go! Thanks
I hit the like before the video even starts because I already know it will be gold.
Heya, my favourite collection was the black star promo set. I haven’t got any of them graded but they are all in pretty great condition. Including sealed and non sealed versions. (Apologies if this is something you’ve covered in a previous video)
Actually I do have the 1st edition Pikachu error graded as a 9 (#1)
Hi I was wondering if you have ever seen gyarados holo unlimited base HP that is boarded with yellow ,I bought a collection from the US in 2006 and this card was part of that collection.
Boarded?
@@TCA_Gaming sorry I meant to say the number 100 and HP is shadowed in yellow
I have a reverse magmar from evolutions and the entire card is yellow, the foiling, magmar itself. I wish I could send you a picture. Don't know what to make of it
Heyyy that's my Alakazam I sold to you, glad I got to see it again :D
How much
Does Beckett still verify the Ghost 1st edition stamp? I have a card like this and I’m hoping to have it graded regardless of condition due to the rarity of the misprint
I got a question. I got a Shining Fates sealed booster pack that has all different shades on it and green stars instead of yellow. Also the pack art itself when looked at in hand in light looks holographic whereas the normal packs do not. What kind of worth can I put to that after getting it graded?
the guy who made the text of the beedrill card propably was a one piece fan ^-^
that stage error square cut XD my god...
How do you have enough money to support this collection? I know you sell your collection, but you said you’d buy a 6k$ Ninetails if you could. That’s big pimpin !! Lol
I have the charizard black dot error card ... its a black dot on the word Nintendo on the bottom ... pretty rare
Right now all of these are worth probably close to $1,000 each card maybe little less some more maybe all these PSA 10’s wow man !!
You should re upload this video with the boom of Pokémon
i hope you upload more error card videos. errors are so cool!
Love that beedrill card
I have one of the red cheeks in my old binder from when I was a kid somewhere. It’s probably beat all to hell tho
You never explained where the shadowless red cheeks Pikachu came from, Ive been interested in knowing. I know the E3 one came from a promotional deck, either that or just as a promotion at the beginning of the Pokémon TCG when it was revealed at E3. But the non E3 one I don’t understand
I had almost collected the whole 1st edition set when i was 10 and someone robbed me for most of them makes me sick to think about i would of loved to pass them down to my boys
hey mate love your videos... how do you spot these error cards on e.g. ebay...its so rare i find them but lookinf for an error venusaur ( miscut )
Hey I have a question. I opened a hidden fates pack and the rare which was a shiny drampa, was printed so low a good portion of the card was missing. jbiegen acetone does that
Dude just kept whippin out pikachu’s lmao
Awesome and informative!! Thanks!
I like how you said that you wont talk about those more common errors, but than you still tall about them. Not gonna lie, if I had all these errors, I would find it hard not to talk about them either.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge on the subject! I always learn a lot from your videos!
Also the miscut back cards have got the Pokeball upside down
I have a length length Kakuna and a mewtwo with a different background I never seen
Why dont they grade the ghost pikachu and ninetails anymore?
Just watched your vid and went on ebay. There is a newly listed error no damage ninetales psa 9 up for sale
Very cool and interesting video!
But what about the Charizard (from Base Set) with the 1999-2000. Most of the Charizards have 1999, so I wonder if that´s an error or something else?

What about holo bleeds? I got a PSA 10 Machamp
I got a bunch of ketchup stained caterpie’s, I wonder how much those are worth???
How about the 1999 charizard Nintendo black dot Error
Love the video! That BGS shade 😂
Lady and gentlemen, We got you.
Please open that box. I love HF
Hey I have a really weird error card I was hoping you can tell me what happened with it how can I get in contact with you and show you pictures?
