    Well I'll be damned. Sgt. Gribble gave me my first ticket coming out of Ionia High School on Tutle Rd. for no seat belt when I was 16. I never drove without it again. Crazy. Everything he talked about I remember happening. Thanks for having him on Andy and thanks Sgt. Gribble for coming on! Another great episode!

    Listening to Travis speak about this little girl was heart wrenching. Needed tissues for this one. Watching him take pauses throughout tells you what a big heart this man has. He's the kind of officer we need more of. Thank you for your service sir, and thank you Andy for having him on. Another great podcast man.

      The story about the little girl was making me cry to the point where I had a lump in my throat. I just thought: ''What the Fuck?'' Being a police officer is just such an incredibly hard and stressful job. Just HEARING that story was hard, so I can see how seeing something like that could mess you up and give you PTSD. I agree with Joe Rogan, being a police officer is an almost impossible job. And I agree with Andy and so many other people, I could never do it. I think I'd end up in prison. So my hat's off to all the amazing men and women who serve as good police officers!

    Crimes against children should be a capital level crime. It destroys a child’s life and I don’t think they level of evil can be reformed.

    • @cb6816
      @cb6816 2 роки тому +1

      Instead it’s a petty crime. Many people and police departments do just believe the children need to get over it. Sex abuse to children is still seen as parental parenting freedom for millions of Americans. Especially boomer aged people. It does help with behavior and has been used in psychology recently. I wish more innocent rightfully minded people like you would come through and realize that it is not at all serious to what I would wager is half our country right now.

      Maybe..... Maybe not. A lot of the time there aren't happy endings. If just seeing a glimpse of what happened to that kid had a major negative impact on a fairly seasoned cop... imagine what experiencing all that does to the mind of a kid. There isn't always a nice ending, better than if they hadn't found the kid but I wouldn't be surprised if she has a lot of problems.

    • @cb6816
      @cb6816 2 роки тому

      So I am from Northern Minnesota. I know culturally we have a lot of similarities to Michigan people. In northern Minnesota this kind of child abuse is very common and allowed in all that’s varying degrees if they want to make money off the child and that way they do it and the police force let them for decades. Was it something similar your county where people almost do you want to rationalize with saying well the child that was the property of the mother like they do in northern Minnesota? I just also want to ask another viewer of this quality podcast actually talking about the worst crime and what should be the most important thing for everybody to focus on ending, is it common where you’re from in Michigan for children to experience some kind of sexual abuse in childhood and for it to go mostly unjustified?

    Another Michigan man lol. Great interview, some tough stories, but telling the realities of police work. People are f'ed up out there. Stay armed.. I was interviewed for PTSD for the military. Approved. And he's right. There's a lot of people that will run you down for it. But those kind of people don't have any answers, when you're living with your lights on in the house and the doors locked at night, with a 9 mm beside you in the bed because of fear. The fear is real. The stories are real. The psychological damage is real. You learn to incorporate it into your life, realizing it's never going to leave, and find a way to deal with it everyday. I fill my head with as much other things as I can to distract me away from the past

    I love it when ya got the Po Po on! I do have advice for failed Po Po departments-Cities-YOU'RE WELCOME. Admit you failed and where it caused the most terror for the innocent. Some people just don't trust officers because of real experiences, rape victims NEVER (statistically) get justice, that's a lot of women who do not trust the main domesprotectionting force.
    Child abuse is rampant, those kids don't ever get real help, just a real circular experience. All those children will grow up to resent and hate the police, meant to protect them as children. Especially children forced into gangs.
    Those are the main, EASILY, controllable failed aspects.
    Next, adapting to change. I want more specialization in police forces. I want sex crimes divisions-Every major city by now with all the child rape should have a specific child rape division-weird there isnt one with the stats there, we are #1 in the world there (for income and religious purposes mainly.)
    I want drones for petty crimes, I want to see more gang departments that have oversight to FIX historical American gang problems/ eliminate no ens gangs. I want more officers, competitionsiions and color coding. I want good officers to be noticed and recognized, and affiliated cunts to be seen by performance in comparison. More PR divisions to support officers with social issues would be good for discussions and support from local/national social pressures. There is just so much more that police department that have failed can do.
    Cities don't have to be burned downed en masse by angry, malnourished children. Be adults, Officers and speak the truth about just how much failure really has been done consciously for the security of routine.

      I think that you, the actual Jesus Christ of law enforcement problem solving just joined a police department, we could solve all problems. You are aware that justice does not come from the police (executive branch). That comes from the judicial branch. Perhaps learning roles of branches of government would go a long way to managing expectations and understanding results.

    Therapy should be looked at exactly the same as physical therapy. If you have an injury you go to the PT. If your head is f’d up you go to the therapist. Even if you think s*** is all good you can go to the therapist as preventative maintenance. I talk to a therapist once a month and 9/10 times I don’t have any major issues to talk about.
    Side note, hats off to all officers that don’t immediately fly off the handle when they find some human trafficking scene like this guy described. Honestly I can’t believe the resolve some of these dudes have.

    Closer to the end of the video now. I always appreciate it when the only men in a position to do anything about all the child rape, bring to light the breadth and depth of said child rape. Andy, I think you have done the most publicly, so far as, clear, authoritative, trusted, facts. Thank you as a survivor. My question to other viewers is, how much child rape awareness has to happen for men in a position to do something to end it? Especially since now a political party/half the nation is pro genital child mutilation. So its a pickle-....are we going to just casually be talking about how much we hate knowing there is common child rape for another year? 5 years? 10 years? 100? Also Finders was declassifies in 2019 so I'm just laughing now, petty.
