Loved the video. Marriage is definitely a learning day to day process. I’m glad that you found out that he wasn’t haven’t a bad day, which changed your perspective. I agree that you should manage your expectations, but also don’t miss the little moments either. He could’ve came home later than you asked so that you could’ve really surprised him, but he came in and came straight to you. He said he wanted to see you! He wanted to come home and see the love of his life because he had a bad day and you were going to be his joy, his turnaround. The excitement for the furniture didn’t come when you wanted it, but you received something greater in that moment, which was him wanting to see you, his fabulous wife!!! It was beautiful to see him help you get it together. I love how you all help each other, congratulate each other, and show each other grace. #TeamWallace

Jess stop doubting yourself girl. You got this! You are rocking this marriage thang girl. There's no right or wrong or a rush to get things done. Take your time, slow down. Seems like most of your stress is coming from the choices your making while decorating (which can be a HUGE project) and adjusting to living with your husband. I been married for almost 6 yrs (which I still think is fairly new being that I'm in this from til death so us part) and I still stress over meals that I cook for my man from time to time. Sometimes I buy things for the house on impulse or misread a situation wrapped up in my own feelings. It's cool. I'm sure Johnathan also doubts himself from time to time on the low. Its fine girl, y'all are doing great. Don't put to much pressure on yourselves. I'm so happy for guys, your wedding was beautiful, now enjoy forever together ❤️

You have such wonderful subbies with great ideas/input. The only thing I can add is pace yourself on your home decor. Each addition give yourself a moment to live with it before adding something else. You don't want to needlessly spend money. And yes, us older folk are about the checks. Why spend time shopping for something the couple might not want.😁

@dara jenene. I had the same thought about the throws on the old sofa. Keep it streamlined and put the throws away until you need to use them. It looks like a corner in grandma's house. Without them, it has a modern with clean lines.

I’ve been getting my candles from Marshalls lately. I still buy my favorite candles from B&BW sometimes, but for the most part I’ve been getting them at Marshalls. I’m over B&BW honestly, especially after shopping there for years. I was ready for something new and to try some new scents. My favorite brands are Scentsational and DW Home.
I hear you! I stopped buying from them for like a year and just recently returned. I love them but still want to try some new ones!

Love your vlog! I feel like BBW plug ins lose it’s scent too quickly to me after about 5 days and it doesn’t matter what scent I purchase.
I started using Nest candles. My fav scent right now is Himalayan Sea Salt & Rosewater! It’s not a granny or rosy scent which I was afraid of.
I was sold on it when I bought the small one and it lit up the room. I come home and I’m like wow my place smells expensive 😂
I need to invest in the larger candle and plug ins too!
Idea.... swing your couch on that other wall or float it facing the pics on the wall and get two chairs Sis, to put under your pics on the wall. Lots of people hate floating a couch but it will help separate the two spaces. However try putting it on that wall that is blank right now if you don't want to float it. Pillows were cute Sis. Yes girl bath and body candles STILL! They just had that 2 for 22 on single wicks too! Every other brand of candles I've tried, the smell just isn't as strong or doesn't fill the room like I like. Walmart has some nice ones too but I know youtubers act too good for Walmart 🤣.

Hey Jess, I have a no shoes in my house policy as well. I'm stopping you at the door with either you can take your shoes off or you can put on these shoe covers(orderedlike 100 pack real cheap on Amazon). And I haven't had any problems or arguments.
Now with the TV wall I think the console wood stand out more if you painted that wall black as an accent wall. And the chain link I've seen some people have it hanging out of a bowl that's sitting on books draped onto the books. Oh and you'll learn it's a man thing, they're not going to come in all excited about any decorating and house stuff unless you point it out. Men and women as you may know communicate and express themselves reaaaal differently. Stay sweet and happy and have a good week.
The girls are def still at bath and body and by the girls I mean me!! Lol. I also love Burn Slow Candle Co. It’s a Black woman owned business and her candles are fantastic. They make my home smell amazing, even when not lit. My fave scents are Cleanse That Sh*t and Cuffing Season. Just talking about it makes me want to order more lol
