I drove wheat truck in eastern Washington for a couple of summers for a farmer who grew certified wheat seed. Did rouging too and other chores. This was during my sophomore and junior years of highschool . This brought back lots of memories. Thanks for your hard work!!
You and Jim found a real strong wheat growing operation to work for. Betchya you have learned a lot from those guys. It takes super management to keep all that equipment, manpower, trucks, bins, and to feed everyone all those meals, all operating as smoothly as they do it. Very impressive--Great videos and photography! I pull my hair out with just one of everything including an employee (my son). Some guys are just great managers of resources to get the job done, and this outfit is.
I agree with you! This is a well-oiled machine! Super efficient and hard workers. We used to hire one person years ago. That was enough for us. I don’t know how the larger custom harvester does it. Or the large farmers. We have been truly blessed with this adventure!
Thanks for another awesome video Tracey and everyone!!!!! Sorry for the breakdowns. Guess each combine took its turn. That deer antler really messed up that big tire-wow. It appears that the other combines were not down too long which was good. You all got everything going and back to harvest. Thanks to Jesse James mom for the additional video-good job. The drone footage was once again real interesting. Believe you said there was 175 foot of header’s going across the field-interesting fact there. Thanks for the video of the unloading process and the equipment they use. I found that most interesting. Busy place, one truck after another. Lots of wheat for storage!!!!!!!!! I missed the food table but I know they feed you all real good there. I saw all the many coolers lined up in the morning before going to the field. Wow. The wheat you were cutting Tracey along the edge of the field was so amazingly thick and beautiful!!!!!!!!! Lots of production there. The amazing factor here is all the management it takes to make everything work, I.e., the combines, grain carts, trucks and food and all the other things that support this harvest community!!!!!! My compliments to whoever is the master there!!!!!!! Another day done out in your beautiful country!!!!! As always, thank you for all you do for us folks riding along. Take care and be safe. Looking forward to tomorrow’s episode. The Iowa farm boy. Steve 😊😊👍👍🙏💕💕🚜🇺🇸🇺🇸
From N Ireland. I have been subscribed to your channel for the last two years and I am glad to see another series of videos. Your soft calming voice and the mix of back ground music are the best thing to help relax after a stressful day.🙂🙂🙂
Sorry to see a bad day but i see you made the best of it and added some behind the scenes footage and still got us a beautiful sunset Thanks so much for the ride
Having 47 harvests behind me and another one fast approaching, I could hear the frustrations in Jim’s voice and yours as to how the day went. If you farm, you will definitely have those kinds of days. But tomorrow the sun will rise and you’ll get up and go again. 🙏
Even on "bad" days, it's a better day than what my father dealt with during WWII when the old '29 Gleaner needed daily repair as the bearings shelled out. Because of the war there were no newer combines availabe at any cost. Greetings from S Central Kansas.
Well, I thought I was gonna be the lone wolf keeping the wheel moving. But, at least, it seemed there was one (or two) running throughout the day. We sorta tag teamed it.
Another great day in Harvesting, some good and some bad. Great to see your flag. Great lookin wheat.. See the combines broken down just goes along with the day. Jim sounded disgusted, but that is part of the process. Great evening pictures, Sunsets and all. Will be looking forward to the next chapter in Harvest 2024. Cya
After all these years Jim can still sunrise you! It was nice to see the youngsters riding in the cart tractors! Antler into-the-tire must be a very rare event! "one of those days--it is harvest"-- --those days come along every so often don't they.
Beautiful sunset. Even though you had trouble the crew working has everything down to a science. Everything seems to be running as smoothly as possible.
You’re seeing spring wheat. We’re currently working on the winter wheat. As soon as that gets cut, I’m betting the spring wheat and barley will be ready to cut.
You see again: the lady saves the day by being the only combine left running. There was a lot to do in your little film, and explaining done for the one's who9 are not so familiar with the trade. It is very nice to see Jim enjoying himself, because he has a blast it seems to me. And they sure are making the trucks empty in high speed, that is working there. I look forward to tomorrow....
Great video! I heard about the storm near Missoula, but lucky it is far away from you even it is still Montana. Looks like you can't sitting relaxed in the combine, you have to be prepared for everything like fires, belts and so on. But for sure that can make you proud when the job is done! This evening I looked on the map, Highwood is a very small place!
Great video nice to see a bit of the yard workings, colour of that wheat I am guessing that’s milling grade bread wheat, plus the shear size of those landscapes it’s huge country.Folks are saying there wear abounds I am over in the Philippines.
That's the fun of farming...you have to be a Jack of all, Master of non. At least the field didn't catch fire, or the combine and the everyone came out with all there digits. Be safe, be seeing you....
Tracy tell grumpy Jim the smile once in a while, and I am glad you’re working for that family. They take care of their help and they know what they’re doing and they care about you. There is a lot of companies out there that Don’t be safe and smile, Jim😊
You are oh so right. Jim is Jim. That’s why over the years he’s earned the nickname on here as “Mr. Sunshine”. I don’t think we’re gonna change him now. 😉
Hi, I love your content. It’s so relaxing and entertaining and interesting. One thing I’m asking is how you pronounce your last name. Thanks God bless.
Good morning Frank the farmer from Wisconsin. Craop looks fantastic. The combines look fantastic. How are you liking the John Deere now compared to your new Holland.
I’ll always be partial to the Nee Holland combine. It’s a great combine that no one acknowledges. In the end, they all do what they’re supposed to do - harvest grain.
Check my memory, weren't they running 4 New Holland combines last year? When I was growing up if you had a 12 foot Masey Harris combine you were considered well off.
They are all Draper heads. The auger you see is referred to as a “pea auger”. Although this farm doesn’t plant field peas, the header they bought has it in place. It helps the plant feed into the header and into the feeder house better.
I honestly don’t know how many acres they farm. A lot. I really have no reason to know this number. And if I did, out of respect for them, I wouldn’t share.
It's a shame John Deere laying off a lot of workers & moving production to Mexico not good maybe John Deere customers need to look to change tractor brand . John Deere sells are down a little but they still made billions profits. I guess it true the ones that have a lot always want more lol .good video Tracy & everyone there yal stay safe & happy harvesting

That was pretty neat Jesse's Mom recording as well...nice different view!
It was!!
Nice green machines
👍🏻
Nice clean hopper bottoms

Harvest throws some curve balls someday and frustrating, keep smiling
It does. But not typically everything within an hour. Crazy!
Yeah -- here are those gorgeous Montana sunsets again -- love them. And thank you Tracy for providing smiles!
😊
👍👍just enjoying these Daly harvest videos keep them coming 😀
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the daily updates.
Jim waved, thats awesome😂
He did!!

Thank you for your kind words. And for taking the time to write. Glad to have you along with us for the journey.
Absolutely beautiful sunset!
❤️
As my dad always said when I got frustrated with a breakdown during harvest, he reminded me that things never break parked in the shed.
Stay safe!
Never a more true word spoken.
Yes! And Jim’s always said, “if it moves, it’s going to break down”.
As long as nobody gets hurt, it’s a great day. Stay safe!!
You’re absolutely right!
Very nice video! Greetings from the Netherlands!
So awesome! Glad to have you along with us!
The days that are trying. Make you appreciate the days when nothing breaks even more.
Very true! You just don’t expect everything to need attention at the same time.
Beautiful looking wheat crop. Thank you farmers, harvesters, and affiliated businesses. You are appreciated.
Thank you!
Thanks Jesse James Mom for Day 7 video from your AWESOME Montana 2024 Harvest. Hello from Norman, Oklahoma.
Hello Norman, OK!! Glad you’re along with us for the journey!
Sorry to see a bad day but i see you made the best of it and added some behind the scenes footage and still got us a beautiful sunset Thanks so much for the ride
It all worked out perfectly!
Having 47 harvests behind me and another one fast approaching, I could hear the frustrations in Jim’s voice and yours as to how the day went. If you farm, you will definitely have those kinds of days. But tomorrow the sun will rise and you’ll get up and go again. 🙏
Well, more exasperation than frustration. Both of us couldn’t believe how fast it all went downhill.
Ah Don't Worry, I you gotta take with bad .... what did you say, '...come with us on this journey.'
👍🏻👍🏻
No worries. Just a day in the harvest field.
Even on "bad" days, it's a better day than what my father dealt with during WWII when the old '29 Gleaner needed daily repair as the bearings shelled out. Because of the war there were no newer combines availabe at any cost. Greetings from S Central Kansas.
Yes! This is something we ALL need to be reminded of. That generation of Americans knew how to work, save, persevere and never quit.
Got'ta have a so-so day now-n-then...you all pushed on through it. 👍❤
👍🏻
Good video good to see y'all
Thanks!
So your lead combine must set the AB line then it is shared with the other 3 combines
So cool
Exactly!
Another gem from y’all, top shelf guys. Take care and keep em comin…GBR🏈🌽🏈
Thank you so much!
In 73 one afternoon we had one running out of five but evening we had all five running again ,the “one “was the oldest of our combines !
Well, I thought I was gonna be the lone wolf keeping the wheel moving. But, at least, it seemed there was one (or two) running throughout the day. We sorta tag teamed it.
It wouldn't be harvest without breakdowns but it seems there's always somebody there to make repairs PDQ!

Not disgusted. Just stating all that happened all at the same time.
no matter how the day went it is also very interesting how the wheat gets into the bins
👍🏻 I agree! It’s all part of the harvest process.
thanks for the update, see ya tomorrow!!!!!!

Yep! Jim’s always said, “everything that moves will break”. True.
Hello from southwest Missouri
Hello, Missouri!
Momma says there will be days like this!!! Just hope for a better day tomorrow. A lot of that wheat looks really green?
You’re seeing spring wheat. We’re currently working on the winter wheat. As soon as that gets cut, I’m betting the spring wheat and barley will be ready to cut.

Truth!!
If nothing ever breaks, you’re not doing anything.
Jim always says, “if it moves, it’s gonna break”.
Interesting to see the way the Wheat is handled; better day tomorrow.
Thanks!
Very good Video 👍 👍👍
Thank you!
Just life of a farmer hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Thinks for the ride.
And it was.
Sorry for break downs better day tomorrow
It happens. Wouldn’t be harvest without them!
Beautiful sunset, dont realise how dusty it is until you see it in the lights! Those deer antlers are a real dammed pest.
Those antlers do quite a bit of damage. And the worst part is not being able to see them to avoid them.
Rained here last night, coming your way. Getter dunnnn!
We got a little shower yesterday afternoon.

Absolutely. His grumpiness is just who he is.
Whats your yields looking like ??? I missed that. Sounds like you need to put a rabbits foot in each one of those Deere machines !! Lol
I’ll just say 60+ bushels…
Hi, I love your content. It’s so relaxing and entertaining and interesting. One thing I’m asking is how you pronounce your last name. Thanks God bless.
Much like saying Syrian only replace the S with a Z. Jim’s great grandpa came from a village near Bern, Switzerland. It’s German/Swiss.
I just wouldn't expect to be having those type of problems in a John Deere Combine
As Jim has said, “if it moves, it’s gonna break down”. And he’s right.

Nope. They were running four JD combines last year. I remember those Massey combines with 12’ headers! That’s what I would have learned on.
You and Jim need two CRX 11 new holland combines lol
Well, at least one, right?!!
I loved the drone shots from yesterday. Curious to see draper and auger heads in use. Any reason for this?

why does nobody do circles/squares anymore (you mentioned). Because of grain carts?
Grain carts and auto steer. It’s more efficient using straight lines and gps.
I missed some time from you tube. How did you go from one New Holland to all the Deere's?
They work for a farmer who sees green.
We sold our combine. This is the second summer we came to this farm to help with their harvest.

It give you more details of what’s going on.
It looked terribly windy on this video. How many different farms have you cut in these 6 videos?
Think I am right in saying just one
We’re helping the same farmer. We no longer have our own combine. We’ve hired on to sit in the seats of his combines.
Yes!
Seems like every thing goes in three s
Or four. Or five. Or even six! 😉
How acres do they farm tracy
They don't tell...
Must be couple thousand
My guess is 10,000+.
I don’t honestly know. I have no reason to know. But if I did, out of respect for the farmer, I wouldn’t share that information.
Hello, I enjoy content very much. I’m sorry to tell you that I pushed it dislike button by mistake. Just so you know, sorry
