i'm gonna start off by saying i can't put into words how amazing this video was. the underwater suite, being able to sleep with the fishies. what an amazing experience you had :) that beautiful sunrise! everything was so incredible to watch, from the scuba diving, to the cute mini golfing and movie night Hunter and Jess had. loved every minute.
I love the fact you prove everyone who say "I can't travel because I have kids " that they are wrong. You guys are achieving your dreams with all the family. Everything is possible. It's just a question of willpower.
That was the most beautiful experience to watch. I also love how beautiful the two of you are together and little Hunter. What a special family. It doesn’t hurt either to have a little time apart to miss one another a bit, Thanks for sharing Jess and Steven.
Sonia and I loved watching this video as we stayed at Reef Sleep on the night after Stephen stayed in the Reef Suite. We were lucky enough to meet Jess and Hunter at Port Airlie while waiting to board the ferry out to Reefworld and then we met Stephen on the pontoon. We have been watching Flying the Nest since 2016 so it was a real treat to run into you guys by chance. It was also great to see that you were all so nice in real life, just like in your videos! Thanks for the entertainment.
The hesitation she had with the glass floor just shows she’s developed good depth perception and peripheral vision! Edit to add: younger walkers will also often swap back to crawling in uncertain walking situations (they have more stability and confidence with crawling!)
Oh my goodness, that was just so incredible. It was lovely that Jess and Hunter got to experience a little bit of it. As a Brit I think it would be a difficult choice between upstairs and downstairs...the whole thing was amazing 🥰

Wow! You really knocked this one out of the ball park. Absolutely spectacular with the very best of nature, and scenery. Fantastic that Jess and Hunter had their own spot of filming and then joined dad for a great day in paradise. I don’t know whether I would love the suite or the tent best and I think one night of each is perfect but I couldn’t help thinking when you were in your suite that you were missing the scenery topside, but when I saw the reef as you turned out the lights, it was magical so you missed nothing. Brilliant vlog! First class!

We did the Reef Sleep in February 2020 before the pandemic hit. We slept upstairs. It was truly one of the most special events that we have ever experienced in our travels. Steve, you did an awesome job of catching the essence of the experience! I felt like I was right back there with you.
That is amazing!!! I’m so sorry Jess and Hunter couldn’t stay the night, but I understand. Both places to stay the night would be awesome and I think I’d do both, but I think staying on deck would be the best. Sleeping in the tent, with the rain falling down, watching the sunset and sunrise, would just be top notch. I’m so glad you did this, Stephen, to show us all what it was like. Thank you! Looks like Jess and Hunter had their own kid version fun! 😎

This is absolutely magical. I can't get over how amazing that suite was. I really liked the tents, but nothing beats the underwater room. It's absolutely mind blowing to think you are _under the ocean_ watching fish and turtle swim by. Getting to shower underwater, watch the colors change from turquoise to a deep blue purple as night set upon you was beyond incredible. Thank you for sharing this one-of-a-kind experience with us. ❤️
What a trip down memory lane - pre pandemic I was working on Hayman Island and i did a helicopter trip over heart reef and we landed by the Reef Sleeper and spent the day there snorkling. Would have loved to have spent the night there but had to return to England. I love living vicariously through you guys whilst i can't travel. Thanks for all the smiles and memories your channel gives me!

The underwater room was my favorite and honestly, I would have had a camera rolling from sun set to sunrise so I could have that playing on a loop every night via a movie projector.

That was the one thing I loved when on research vessels.. A few mins of calm each day.. If there were no storms. Thanks for sharing 👌.

I would sleep upstairs. That room downstairs is super beautiful but I would have to shut the blinds at night. It would give me the creeps. And that defeats the purpose haha. Wonderful vlog.
Ahh very true :) I slept with the blinds open and you know how your body goes in and out of sleep - at 1 am I woke up and was fully awake as you could just see the fish! Was kinda cool as I could enjoy it more then went back to sleep!

My parents took me all over the world as a kid
I agree but it also depends on the kids, Hunters got an amazing temperate for travelling.

Yes! My parents traveled together to New York while my grandparents watched us. I was little and I had a count down on a paper!😂
