I was at this concert. Arrived a bit earlier and was sipping a beer at the bar. At one moment Jojo passed by and I'm still cursing myself for not taking a photo with him. But still, finally seeing him perform live at the concert was fuckin awesome.
"We believe improvisation is something very important, living in the future, where all the robots are coming to us, we will have to be able to prepare ourselves to improvise and stay human, you know" 44:23 This is so important
imho: the best storytellers in my small musical universe today... it actually felt a bit like christmas, when I realized, that this thing is in top notch quality- regarding audio and visuals! THANKS A LOT TO TERMINAL MUSIC & ARTS! 🙏
Dude I was there and all I could do was stare at Jojo in awe and disbelief. In certain moments it felt like watching a sped up video, but it was live right there in front of my eyes :D I've been a fan for years and I'm super happy and grateful to have had the chance to witness this live!
@@lukatomica2654word my friend! this is exactly how I felt every single time I watched him/them live! I',m playing live drumandbass/techno drums on my own since years and I'm assuming me as pretty good, but listening to Jojo's Nerve is just pure inspiration to me. Big up this Upload!
jakobs sounds really remember on the Goapartys in the early 90`s..They combinate so good with their Music now..BIG UP !!JoJo and John also inspirating as most..Thanks for load up on my earthday, Great !
i wish Jojo spread his talent out more with diverse musical settings...love to see him in a rock band or jazz or fusion...this stuff gets old fast for me...
Adam Klobusnik it's called "Hypernormal" from their last album called Nerve also. They don't play the songs exactly as they are recorded but improvise with they live.
Wow, thanks so much for posting this! Nerve is groove-oriented (obviously), but it often gets too electronic for me - but THIS performance is more in-the-pocket than I've heard before. I would have taken a second mortgage out to see this show live :) Jojo is always awesome - but there's something here I haven't heard before... Is there a non-compressed version of this performance available for purchase somewhere?
In his interview on 'Drumtalk', he says that as the left side of his setup has expanded, traditional has become less practical and a strain on his left shoulder. Also, imagine hitting those trigger bars in traditional; yeah, you could do it, but it'd be a lot easier in matched.
Amazing performance. Theres more going on polyrythmically between the three musicians while keeping the audience moving and captivated than anything out there. Thats what most of the chops guys dont seem to care about. The litmus test for keeping females in the audience is groove. I know fusion/ prog/ chops guys dont seem to grasp that concept. I get it some musicians arent trying to appeal to a dance thing but its cool to see phenominal musicians not alienating a potential 50% boost in audience just so they can show their chops. THATS how you can make a carear without relying on airplay and the record business.
no, watch Buddy Rich. Heavy Stick, long Stick, louder and faster than Jojo... match oder trad grip, you can do it quite, or loud, fast or slow. Its in you're hand.
Kevin Bieri but everyone is different. Maybe he just feel more powerful and flexible that way. At least I do. Thomas Lang have changed his way too. It's just harder to play traditional
J'adore Jojo Mayer... Mais là non. Dure à vendre cette musique... Trop barré ... d'ailleurs le public décroche... Musique de boite de nuit sans intérêt... Triste ... Après les années 80 new waves on assiste à la deuxième mort du batteur... Quel intérêt pour lui de jouer cette musique devant des gens bourrés qu'en ont rien à foutre... On se croirait dans une fête de village...

Respect masters
Deeeeeep groove there omg insane control
55:48 how Jojo simply stops playing when the new section begins and the other guys waiting so hard for him to come back in :D

yeah, give us a live lp! :)
@@archibaldikowski3646 we apologize but unfortunately we had some tech problems, and this was best that we did
@@terminalmusicartsfestivals607 and that's supercool, thank you a lot! :)

Go listen to one of their studio albums if that's what you want
54:50 !!!
10 thumbs up!!!!!!!!!
It's a very good live ! Thank's Nerve ! ;)
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!
Total climax min 57:00-58:00
Tracklist ?
So basically, when will politicians let us be in these festivals again?
SoundTrip.....😎🍺
Can someone name the playlist? Just recently heard of Joni Mayer.
thank you for uploading Terminal Music&Arts Festival, so you've got a new sub. ps, I'm always looking for new subs too !!!! cheers guys rob
oN THE FIRST TRACK, WHAT BASS BASS effect dose he use?!!!!!!
божественно
Song name at min 10:00 ? That groove/bassline is infectious.
Flat Earth
I would be acting exactly like the guy in the front @28:51
Do you know how's the song called? It sounds perfect
Adam Klobusnik it's called "Hypernormal" from their last album called Nerve also. They don't play the songs exactly as they are recorded but improvise with they live.
Oh yes :D thank you so much. Well, I like the live version better
17:27
What's the song? It's so good!
Marcin Szymanek Flood
Thanks!
is that lonzo ball on keys?
Does anyone know the name of the last track!?
Wow, thanks so much for posting this!

what kind of module is he using for triggers? Roland tm 2?
wondering what's all that stuff he has on the table to the left
There's such a cutoff at the higher frequencies I can't really hear Jojo's hi hat at all.
What is the name of first song?
Its called slack
Please help. What's next to last song's name? Starts at 52:13. Big fan of Jojo and all the Nerve. Thanks for the upload, great show ;))
It's called "To listen is to love"
Darude Sandstorm
Whats is the name of the first sound?
9:58 The skin of a 98 year old
Most people his age are bound to wheelchairs and whatnot...He's doing well for his age
He aint that old
@@odaydrums But he looks like 80. Probably not the healthiest person out there..
If I were the engineer I would’ve cut that boxy frequency in the low end before releasing this video..
Name of the song starting at 17:30?
flood
what happened to traditional grip?
Is a interview on yt, where Jojo talk about it. Using trad is depend of feeling, he can play in both grips the same things ;)
yannis 27:42 just saying bro
In his interview on 'Drumtalk', he says that as the left side of his setup has expanded, traditional has become less practical and a strain on his left shoulder. Also, imagine hitting those trigger bars in traditional; yeah, you could do it, but it'd be a lot easier in matched.

Can someone tell me if this set is mostly Nerve songs or improvised?
123oner mostly songs off their new album, it starts with an improv doe, few songs from older albums too
Great stuff as always from Nerve .... Too bad the musicians have to keep sucking in all that second hand smoke.
looks like marve in home alone 2
wonderful. wish, keys weren't that dominant though
5:28 WTF? I think that is better to do with trad grip
Why should it be better?
Trad grip can't reach that level of power for long
no, watch Buddy Rich.
Thomas Lang changed because of Karpal-Tunnel Syndrom, at least a nerve disease :-)
The devil, the dinousaur and the old man. Find the dinosaur.
I would just like to hear the music instead of audience background it detracts from the whole vibe
Fell like the keys playing really isn't adding a lot here. Sync in to some rhythms
not digging the shorts lol
It's comfortable
Šta radi ovaj klinac na klavijaturama, sve van tonaliteta i ritma? E moj ĐoĐo šta si dopusti...
There always has to be a loud mouth in the audience
Che of music is jojo
a do toho furt kvakani nakych slovaku
Bad Recordig..
Who goes to watch a show with a backpack on?? Guy on the front row on the right..I guess that's a new thing.
