Happy 2023, Samhain! Your gingerbread project looks like fun! Also, your yard looks beautiful with the snow, but YIKES that freezing temperature!!! Do you have a heater for your chickens?
Thank Fraidy! The gingerbread man was just a fun project I had to see how it worked out. I wanted to do a bigger xmas project but the time of the year is so hectic at times! The yard when covered with snow is a lovely picture, but the cold was just bone chilling. Oddly enough 3 days later, the temperature switched from -35º to +6º and it has stayed there for the last 2 weeks. My coop is very well built so I only have a ceramic heater in there, it gets cold, but the chickens and the heater kept the coop 10º-15º warmer that the outside most times. The big issue with like heat lamps beyond the fire risk, is at those temperatures if there is a power cut, you will lose your whole flock because of the temperature shock. We have never lost a bird due to the cold, and most of the frostbite they get on their combs is when they venture out into the run when it's -25º and no amount of my protecting them can help them. lol. Hope you have a great 2023 Fraidy!
I have one of those somewhere and I love it! The only thing is, when it's -30º c outside the last thing I want to be doing is digging through the garage for my favourite caulking gun! So the one that happened to be in the house was elected to be my faux icing gun. Thanks for watching bro!
That's great you can use it for Christmas and Halloween !! thanks for sharing HFL!!
Lol, I laughed when I flipped it over and did the evil gingerbread man. Can't take the halloween out of me! lol. Thanks for watching Deoblo!

Wow! That's REALLY Arctic cold! Now I don't feel so guilty knowing my back yard only gets down to around 40s Fahrenheit!! @@SamhainPropworks
There’s a style of caulking gun that releases the pressure as soon as you release the trigger, so no…. Drippage.
