I don't understand why Amazon or Netflix haven't commissioned a good golf series of some kind. I had a look the other day thinking I'd find something, didn't find a thing. Seems like such an untapped market away from UA-cam.
My Dad's best friend Russ reminds me SO MUCH of Erik. Same humor, great golfer and somewhat unscrupulous in all the right ways. Russ was known to sometimes play a quick "extra" round of golf after an initial round and he was a natural adventurer. Russ sadly died from cancer a year ago and my Dad was really heart broken. I'm so excited to share this series with my Dad because Erik really feels like Russ's little brother, and he even looks like him and laughs the same way, it's crazy. I was close to Russ myself as we traveled a lot and played golf many times when I was a kid in California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. Watching this series is like visiting an old friend for me and I really hope one day Erik and my Dad can play a round together. I know that it would bring my Dad immense joy.
Love the adventure part of these VLOG's. Erik takes us all to the most wonderous places, and we all get to meet the nicest people. Thank you again EAL for taking us along.
Erik, love your travels and adventures. First, man, where is the mask? You are coming into a new town, an outsider, you might really think about that. Great photography. Utah may become the next Idaho, with new folks moving in. Stay safe.
I couldn't stop thinking about this when he was in the coffee shop. I absolutely love the travels but it scares me that he's not wearing a mask in enclosed spaces.
On his other videos on his Random Golf Club channel, he does wear a mask when going indoors, but yeah... after my parents coming back from Utah to California for a camping trip and describing that nobody there wears a mask is kinda worrying, even if their infection rates and population is way lower. I think even if nobody around you is wearing a mask, wearing one yourself would count as a courtesy, especially when you're traveling from a different area.
My thoughts as well. The mask is not to protect you, it's to stop the aerosolization of your own spittle, so it's to care for others. You never know who is living with someone inmunocompromised or old.
Twilight golf was my favourite when visiting Canada. I watched a Large Bull Moose walk slowly out of the trees, over the green and back into the woods in front of me. I waited for him to go then played my second shot only to hole it. A great shot but it was so dark by this point it took me 10 mins to realise what had happened. Only looking in the hole because I had looked both short and long and knew I'd hit a good line at the flag.
EAL, I’m glad to see you made it to The Hideout in Monticello and The Moab Golf Club. The Hideout is a special place with a cool history. Looks like you had fun. Thanks for featuring these smaller towns!
Truly one of the most iconic and beautiful places in the US. Glad EAL was able to stay on trail while golfing out there. The soil is held together by cryptobiotic life forms and is extremely fragile. It can take hundreds of years to rebuild when disturbed. Probably best to just stick to the golf courses but a very cool vid nonetheless.
He didn't stay on trail. NPS is not going to be happy about this. Arches really doesn't issue film permits, so there's another issue. Hope he packed out the ball, cause it won't biodegrade anytime soon in this environment.
@@Mackaygolf using the drone while offroading too is likely to get them a big fine. No drone usage in National Parks, it's basically impossible to get a permit. And there's no way they somehow got a permit and just used it for a few seconds of driving. Love the channel, but definitely a few dick moves in this video. I wonder how many people are going to try to hit some golf balls out there now.
I feel like each new episode somehow manages to outdo the previous one...keep up the awesome work! Moab and Arches are both amazing, definitely some A+ shots with the drone in this one!
4:20 image is from arches national park (three gossips rock) north of moab by ~5 miles vs the ~35 miles south that you were at (Church Rock). you have the actual spot displayed at the 9:55 mark
ERIK, you should run a contest for this coming year and whoever wins you should travel to their local golf course. If i win i have an extra cottage on a lake in Michigan. Plenty of beautify golf in southeast Michigan!!!
I think they are like foam pads or something to stand on so your feet aren't so far below the ball as it floats on the surface. I also haven't been able to find that vid so that's just my guess.
Cool vid, moab is great. Where's your mask though dude?? The unfortunate people in these tourist towns have no choice but to risk themselves and serve you but it definitely makes some of them nervous
Dope video. Love EAL and his content.. but my man was in Ryan's face without a mask.. when he and everyone else around him in the cafe clearly were... yikes
Can't lie, The Hideout was my least favorite course I played in Utah. Played from the tips, because hey, it's only 6600 at elevation, and there are multiple tee shots where you can see at most three yards of the fairway. Guess I should have just played the blues.
I still love these videos and EAL is still cool as shit. However I feel like the premise of the show has been lost. Maybe it's because of Covid, but it was so much better when we were seeing golf using metal poles in India. Still love the show just feel like it's lost the 'adventure'
I was the Interp Ranger in this video, no longer active with NPS. In this video there are some troubling aspects of the way you choose to recreate in the Park. The first is that in the desert, there really is no such thing as a biodegradable golf ball. Things may take decades to decompose. I strongly encourage you to read up on Leave No Trace principles that apply to desert ecosystems and pack out all trash and human waste. This area has experienced a remarkable boom in tourism and it critical for people to treat the land with respect if it is to not be simply eroded away. In the Moab area especially there is a factor essential to all life we call cryptobiotic soil. It is a living growth of organisms that keep the loosely consolidated sand from simply blowing away. This crypto is very delicate and walking on it destroys what represents decades of life struggling to be successful. Without crypto, plants cannot collect nutrients and as a result, valuable food and shelter for rodents and lizards is taken away. By golfing, you open up the risk of having to trample this cryptobiotic soil to recover your ball off-trail. For similar reasons drones are banned at Arches National Park. Aside from this being an FAA regulation, it introduces the risk of harm to the resource. Drones often need to be recovered off-trail and as a result, extensive damage to the cryptobiotic soil occurs. Drones tend to run hot as well, introducing the risk of a wildfire igniting if the drone lands in dry brush (which is everywhere). Major wildfires rocked this region and others like it throughout the summer, most of which were the results of human negligence. In other words, only youtubers like you can prevent them. The last thing, and perhaps the most troubling is that you put other visitor's safety at risk. I would hope you simply edited out the part of the video where you checked to make sure nobody was scrambling up the formation on the other side of Eye of the Whale Arch. Somebody could've fallen 20 feet or so onto hard slickrock and been left injured hours from a team of first responders and transport to definitive care. Please, always assume you can hurt somebody by blindly launching projectiles around places where people scramble or climb. I hope you consider some of what I shared and choose to educate yourself and your viewers on these topics. Golf takes up so much land and water already, why not just use those areas?
Please don't ruin twilight for the real golfers. Its the only moment we have were we can actually enjoy the course without a billion people on it. In other words, Eric....shhhhhhhh
Get this man his own netflix series! Love the cinematic feel of all of EAL's videos!
I don't understand why Amazon or Netflix haven't commissioned a good golf series of some kind. I had a look the other day thinking I'd find something, didn't find a thing. Seems like such an untapped market away from UA-cam.
What the hell is Eric wearing in that weather
EXACTLY! Skratch is such a great name too.
yeah, this definitely needs to be at least a half-hour 20 episode series on some major streaming service.
I agree! Would be a hit! Have they approachd you?
The most beautiful and vibrant intro to a video I've ever seen.
My Dad's best friend Russ reminds me SO MUCH of Erik. Same humor, great golfer and somewhat unscrupulous in all the right ways. I’m so very jealous of the life EAL leads, the best job on earth? I reckon so.
We are planing a trip to Utah from the east coast next year and we’re gonna play golf across the country and probably there now because of this show
The hide out is my favorite course in utah, so glad EAL was able to experience it as well
Agreed!
Especially in enclosed places when others are wearing a mask. It protects them more than you. It’s common courtesy at this point.
On his other videos on his Random Golf Club channel, he does wear a mask when going indoors, but yeah... after my parents coming back from Utah to California for a camping trip and describing that nobody there wears a mask is kinda worrying, even if their infection rates and population is way lower. He was getting coffee. How's he supposed to drink with a mask on?
Loving the Utah videos. A lot of people dont realize it, but utah's got some of the best public golf in the country.
After seeing this we definitely want to get out there to shoot some vlogs ourselves!!
Twilight golf was my favourite when visiting Canada.

You're always welcome in Utah EAL! Some of the best natural landscapes America has to offer.
Golf and off-roading. Two of the best things ever in one EAL video
For those that haven't been, a must do trip. Moab and the Arches are amazing. Plus, you can find real dino tracks...an added bonus
EAL, I’m glad to see you made it to The Hideout in Monticello and The Moab Golf Club. The Hideout is a special place with a cool history. Looks like you had fun. Thanks for featuring these smaller towns!
Vice should give this guy a tv deal. This show would be so perfect for that company
Another great episode!
Find something in life that makes you as happy as Erik gets playing imagined golf holes in the desert 🌵 😄
Truly one of the most iconic and beautiful places in the US. Glad EAL was able to stay on trail while golfing out there. The soil is held together by cryptobiotic life forms and is extremely fragile. You make the best golf content, period.
You got to just love turning up to play golf and teaming up with the locals
That scenery is just awesome ..... cool vid Erik
Just one of the only gems in Utah!
Another masterpiece. EAL is a legend!
This is so epic. People NEED to see this channel!!
4:20 image is from arches national park (three gossips rock) north of moab by ~5 miles vs the ~35 miles south that you were at (Church Rock). you have the actual spot displayed at the 9:55 mark
Great Video, Erik I love the videos, and the unique locations you go to, and Skratch one of the best golf channels, so thank you very much.
Thanks for going to my home town!!! I love those courses around moab!
Definitely check out Sand Hollows in hurricane, utah when you go back. Probably the most beautiful course in Utah.
Such an awesome channel, never gets old and deserves more views!
I don’t understand why you guys aren’t getting 100k + views a vid with your million + view quality.
ERIK, you should run a contest for this coming year and whoever wins you should travel to their local golf course. If i win i have an extra cottage on a lake in Michigan. Plenty of beautify golf in southeast Michigan!!!
Awesome video. Great production. Please wear a mask to protect others. Keep shooting!
Great eagle dude!!! Gotta be the course record!
I play this course for my golf season!!
Where is that shot from the sea in the intro? And what breaks up under your feet? I’ve never seen it in an ep and it’s annoyed me for ages...
I think they are like foam pads or something to stand on so your feet aren't so far below the ball as it floats on the surface. I also haven't been able to find that vid so that's just my guess.
I've been waitin for that episode too!
Actually they are empty vice ball boxes... I think
I have been waiting so long for that episode !!!
It's from season 3 in Kahuku, Hawaii, USA: ua-cam.com/video/IbRFfXOeB0w/v-deo.html
Great episode as always. Makes me excited for more roadtrips once covid calms down
Glad you had fun Eric! Local moab kid who plays on the high school golf team there. Just a reminder that drones are not allowed in the National Park.
NEW AIG EPISODE IS JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED ❤️🙏
Hi, I’m Tyler, and I love EAL!! Keep these videos coming!!!!!
So dope. Was just in Moab. Would have been amazing to run into the team. If you ever come to Salt Lake, would love to play with you
love the video series
Haha....I was just down there filming a golf video for Japan last week. You just do it way better than me...Haha...Nice work. Love it!
EAL is the man no doubt!! We aspire to get on his level
It feels weird being this early to your video. It looks good so far.
Another cool video...though it would have been better to see more of The Hideout since you played it.
stunning landscape
Almost as if we weren't in the middle of a pandemic with rising cases. Good to see everyone doing their part.
Next summer go play copper creek in colorado where it’s the highest green in The US!!!
Best golf course 🙌❤️😁in moab of course... 😆
Another great video, keep it up! 👍
10:50 was an awesome ad ! haha 🖤
More EAL AIG magic! Thx boss
Gotta love the all white fit in the desert
Love that place
Love the video as usual!
Moab is my favorite place ever.
Great stuff as always. Gotta check that place out
Cool vid, moab is great. Where's your mask though dude?? The unfortunate people in these tourist towns have no choice but to risk themselves and serve you but it definitely makes some of them nervous
I am surprised that the Canyon's course #3 is not the highest green in Utah. Monticello is a hidden gem.
6:36 demonstrates how I see my line before I hit the ball lol
Drive a little further, Eric. Grand Junction Colorado and play Redlands Mesa.
This is a lot of production and effort to make only a 13 minute episode, these should be 30 mins they’re awesome little videos
Eal do put the ball trackers on the video it will get a much better feel for the viewers !
go play valley view or bountiful ridge in utah some great courses
“This episode we go to one of the earths most pristine and beautiful sites, and guess what? We’re gonna fuck it up and hit some golf balls yeah!”
8:36 You just activated my Siri....
Your living great 👍
Dope video. Love EAL and his content.. but my man was in Ryan's face without a mask.. when he and everyone else around him in the cafe clearly were... yikes
1. This is awesome but Is it legal to hit a golf ball in an area people could be walking/camping? 2 . Please see question 1 lol
Can't lie, The Hideout was my least favorite course I played in Utah. Played from the tips, because hey, it's only 6600 at elevation, and there are multiple tee shots where you can see at most three yards of the fairway. Guess I should have just played the blues.
Definitely the back tees are tucked back into the trees. They’re fun once you learn the course so you can hit driver more.
Cool, don't understand the long sleeves though.....feel hot just watching...
what is the song playing around 10 mins?
week 2 of me asking for y'all to come to Raleigh
i'm convinced that the thumbs down person is a jilted ex gf of EAL.... great stuff my guy!
Actually the 3rd green @ Canyons in Park City is 7401 elevation!!!
The eye of the whale is now the longest par 3 in the history of the game
that intro never gets old
To everyone, who replied to my comments, Thank You!! This is not to single out Erik but use some common sense.
Pretty sure the local dispensary is the highest green in Utah.
That guy looks like he’s gonna be the highest on the highest green
Vice army!
America's the only place you'll see petrol powered golf carts lmao
You're about 110 miles north of monument valley lol
Let’s gooo
Love the videos but let's be honest you made two shots at the eye of the whale 🐋
I guess I need to buy a jeep to park on the sidewalk
Ryan looks like a taller white ludacris
Southern Utah is Mecca
90° and long sleeve..
Looks to be about 1000 yards... it’s only 317 yards
They didn't see the disappearing lady
I still love these videos and EAL is still cool as shit. However I feel like the premise of the show has been lost. Maybe it's because of Covid, but it was so much better when we were seeing golf using metal poles in India. Still love the show just feel like it's lost the 'adventure'

Please tell me you didn't hit that chip off that lie with the wedge Miura San custom made for you. That would be a crime against humanity.
OMFG my uncle lives in moab
i call bullshit on the elevation part. canyons course in park city has got to be higher. 4th green is over 7k.
MOAB IS THE SHIT
We need to keep Utah and Utah golf a secret; is getting too busy. The problem is it is so awesome here it is hard to keep our mouth shut.
Haha we've heard nothing but great things! We're trying to get out there to shoot some vlogs relatively soon!
Get my man an iPhone
Anyone know if EAL is an anti-masker? Seeing him in the coffee shop w/o one looks odd.
A whale of a time.
Please don't ruin twilight for the real golfers. Its the only moment we have were we can actually enjoy the course without a billion people on it. In other words, Eric....shhhhhhhh
