Great footage! Well I read you are dissatisfied with the vignetting at wide angles. Well I suppose your K-3 has the M42 screw lens mount re-centering ring installed. I´d say get a Zenitar 16mm prime lens, I bought it and I love it. Not perfect, since it has some barrel distortion (fish eye look), but it is the very best choice for a wide angle lens for the Super 16 modded K-3. No more vignetting.
Hi! I actually got the Zenitar 16 and the Peleng 8mm. Love them, but it took 4 months for the lenses to arrive to Northern Europe from Belarus and Russia, so by the time I made this film, I was still waiting for the lenses. Barrel distortion is fine, I could just readjust that afterwards. I do have a problem with the flange distance though. Shooting with the K3 isn’t exactly like shooting with the Arri 416...
@@tedenryd2258 Cool! Hmm, why do you have a problem with the flange distance/back focus, when you don't have that with the stock Meteor zoom? I can only imagine the recentering ring being the culprit. Please fill me in. De-fishing in post is ok, but I guess (didn't try yet) you will end up losing precious image information (Zenitar 16) and/or you mess up the grain structure (Peleng 8). Perhaps just a nice compromise. Yeah, the Arri 416. Prices are so ridiculously high, that you can find cheaper Super 35 cameras.
