great video!! what's would be the look of both lenses in full frame equivalent? I wanna wide angle for the k3 but I think the zenit 16mm is not to wide in super 16 right? the look is something like a ''50mm look'' in full frame ?
The zenitar 16mm on the K3 is around the size equivalent of a 32mm on the super 35 format.

Why didn't you crop it. You are not suppose to see the sprockets and space between frames.

@@tedenryd2258 Well. If you go to the cine or watch a film on television or project a film. There is a reason there is a reason they don’t show the sprockets. It’s too distracting. That’s why film gates on projectors don’t show it.
Looks beautiful! Any special scan recommendations to make things as clear as possible? Also, what are the differences between the Canon 514 xl-s and this 1014 xl-s? (I can’t find any direct comparison videos, and want to be sure that the price jump is worth it!)
Thank you! The 514 only does single, 9 and 18 fps. Where the 1014 does all of that plus 24 fps and has a slow motion setting too. It’s about 5 times as heavy but definitely worth it. My wife is usually the one who films with the 1014xl-s now since she prefers the style while I shooting on super 16 simultaneously. She does however miss the lighter 514xl but her liking for the the 24fps look always wins 😊

Beautiful work. Did you have an easy time while focusing the Peleng 8mm with this camera's viewfinder? I am asking because I have the same set and I was told that is totally fine to be "out of focus" with the Peleng 8 since the K3's viewfinder cannot handle it correctly. I might think of setting the zoom on 2m and keep the distance as I shoot, in order to have proper focus. What is your technique?

I'm just experimenting with a S8 camera I've just obtained. Do you ever shoot with a slight over exposure to reduce grain? Your scans are really good. Are you going for a best light or a Cineon log and then grade?

How would you rate the lenses of the Canon 514, 814 and 1014 XL-S?
I think it’s a massive jump from 314/514xl to 1014xl-s. Never tried the 814. Such a difference in optics quality
