Bobby is their surrogate mom xD
That's their adoptive mother; it's much better for them than a human parent. This way, they take less time to learn how to 'cat', and bond less strongly to humans.

That was an eye opening moment...how they went from adorable kittens to wild predators in the blink of an eye.

No matter how wild an animal may be, the kittens are always the same. Playful and energetic.

+Pixtol Depends on the puppies and kittens. Some kittens are insanely high energy - bouncing off walls, attacking humans 'playfully' with claws out, running up and down curtains.
@@junbh2 my cat was like that. He would stalk and pounce on me until 4am everyday. I was sleep deprived

It is amazing to watch the difference from domesticated and wild animals. When it is given the mice they go insane and Bob just watch like "Guys, what are you doing?"

It's cute and funny when they're little monsters tearing up the house, but then they grow big and start tearing you up...
Interesting how you guys actually trained them into as specific diet based on time: bird in the daytime, and mice in the nighttime. This seems like it would be a regular thing for them in the wild, considering the different activity times of the respective prey.
It is really neat to watch the wee ones growing and getting more catatude.

This the Best video on bobcat rescue! You can tell why they are not pets. Their play and the way they go after their food is properly aggressive. They belong in the wild and than BCR that they learn the skills to florish their.
I wish I owned a wildlife conservatory. I know I can't have wild animals as pets but I still want to care for a big cat (PROPERLY) one day. :(

We used to have a large male tabby cat we named Marco, but my dad soon started calling him "bobcat" due to his large paws and just general striking resemblance to one. Watching these videos I can see why he did that, they all look just like little Marcos and are just as playful!
Really love what you guys are doing here! Cats are some of our best friends and helping them out shows there's still some humanity left out there! Keep it up guys!

i wonder if, as they get bigger, these bobcat's will recognize "mommy" forever, or if they'll eventually see her as prey too as they outgrow her substantially.

Brilliant, the way you introduce them to their wild food sources. I wonder what mom-cat makes of that kind of food, or if she expresses any interest. Glad the bobcat kittens are thriving. This video got me thinking- are the cats ever fed live food?
Probably not as I suppose they don't want to risk the kittens being injured but in the wild the mom eventually introduces them to live food as training them to kill.
I was wondering about live prey too especially because they're going to be reintroduced to the wild when they're old enough.
Rozmic , ***** , Dan Kelly , & Carbonatedjello These cats have lived their entire lives in captivity. Therefore, they did not acquire the hunting skills they would have learned form their mothers in the wild. This means they do not have the skills to kill prey quickly and efficiently. Since these cats can never live wild and free there is no need to now acquire those skills. Because of that there is simply no sense putting prey animals through needless torture.

Rozmic I do believe it mentioned in another one of their videos that when wild rescues are rehabilitated they are kept far from the other parts of the facility (people) and are fed live food before reintroducing them to the wild. However these are wilds cats that have been rescued and are used to catching live prey.

I have always wanted to work with the big cats all my life, & have a true bond with all manner of felines. I am fluent in CatSpeak. lol... @TheMonthofMayo If you watched the previous episodes, the cat is the adopted mother. When the Bobcat Kittens arrived, they needed natural milk from a mother and their mother wasn't around. So the cat in the video had a littler around the time the Bobcats arrived and she allowed the Bobcat kittens to nurse with her kittens. Some female cats who just give birth do not do this but this one did. :)
Mom cat: I don't feel safe around them anymore.

@keybawtiz Bobbi was adopted by a loving family in 2010, she spent christmas inside a nice warm house :)
