Another way to avoid fogging: shaving cream makes an amazing antifog! Just rubbing it on the plastic dome should help ensure that even if moisture gets in, it won't cloud your vision. Great video :)
Yes! That is another great one. I haven’t tried that technique myself just yet but I have heard many others swear by it. Thanks for sharing the tips and so glad you liked the video!
Hey how do I do that? Would I rub the foam onto the plastic and then wash it off?
@@rosiemclennan4026 no, rub a thin layer on and gently wipe it off
Do you wipe it onto the outside, or put it on the inside when assembling?
You bringing up your favorite plastic for the domes being googly eyes was like. The final piece in the puzzle finally clicking in place when I've been trying to figure that out so much, thank you sm!!
Simple and straight to the point with understandable explanations! Thanks so much for the tutorial 😊 💕
Awwh thank you so much for the kind words and checking out the video! I am so glad to hear it was helpful! 💪🏼
thank you! i’ve never made a fursuit before so this will be helpful once i come around to the eyes :)
How come no one ever says where to get the domed plastic? That’s the hardest part of learning these
You can find it on Amazon! Probably most people don’t because they use it from other items (like repurposing other objects) google eye plastic, thick packaging plastic, etc to name a few. There is also a site called Tap Plastics that sells acrylic sheet I think. I have not used them yet so I can’t say for sure.
Yes and some vendors @ fursuit conventions sell them, both online and in person.
hope to use this as part of a dr. n. gin cosplay- he has one huge domed eye and this looks rather similar to what i'm going for
this looks really cute
Damn,thank you!
I want to use a Dinomask to do like a Nightwing fursuit, and THIS tutorial helped me a LOT
Tysm
That’s awesome! I’m so glad it helped you out! 😄 I am planning to do a dino mask tutorial soon too so hopefully I’ll have even more good knowledge to share with you soon! 💜
@@KemonoDungeon Awesome!!
Those eyes do look good and also good explanation of how to make nothing much to say good vid
Thank you! Glad it was easy to follow and turned out! I’m always worried my tutorials are confusing! Haha thanks for your feedback!
airtight you say? *adds silicone and weatherstripping to fursuit mats list*
Hahaha ya know though, silicone might make a great sealant though!
@@KemonoDungeon I watch a lot of SerpaDesigns and am always considering how I can bring skills from other things I observe to new applications.
Here's another idea for free.
Bug-eyes.
You know those plastic tube things that one puts on pads of plastic pin things and then use an iron to flatten?
Those things?
done on a rounded surface they could make really cool realistic bug eyes!
This so cool and helpful! Thank you!
Oh thank you! I’m so glad you found it helpful! I’ll be doing lots more tutorials in the future too!
@@KemonoDungeon I follow you on Twitter and I love your work! I hope to one day commission!
@@dreamieskies056 Awwh thank you! I’m so glad you like! That means a lot. I’m hoping to open for a few slots soon. Trying to build up a good example pool haha!
what are some other plastic I can use? love the vid btw
This is so awesome thanking you ever so much . I think this is better way. I have a 3d printer but can not find a 3d STL file.
I really enjoy being able to 3D print. It speeds a lot of processes up! There’s a lot of stl files available for sale and free online! Check out thingiverse and cults3d!
@@KemonoDungeon I do go on Thangs3d ect. And have managed to print off a mini fox fursuit head . Before trying to print a bigger scale model . Cults 3d I will have a look. . Thanking you ever so much as any help is a blessing 🤩🐾🦊🤗
@@ClintonVolpe Yeah if you are looking specifically for fursuit STLs they may be harder to find. I make all of my own. I don't sell any yet but I know a lot of others sell fursuit STLs on Etsy!
can you still see clearly with the back of the eye sealed with plastic?
Thank you very much 💓 Very helpful for the Eyes I'm going for ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ For my Kemono Midday Lycanroc
Oh of course! You are welcome! ❤️ that is going to be so cute! I love it. It will be so expressive! ☺️ can’t wait to see!
Dont mind me. just someone sitting here, trying to figure out what I could use instead of the acrylic i ordered. because i mistakenly bought 3mm acrylic, and that was way thicker than I anticipated.
(Dont be dummy like me and strive for the "super high quality professional grade everything." on your first try. Just get the damn googly eyes)
Is there anything else i can use that isnt foamie?
Yeah there’s plastic sheets in varying thicknesses you can buy! Also you can 3D print or even resin cast the white parts of the eyes. (My two preferred methods now) 😄 I will probably do a remake of this tutorial with more advanced techniques like that at some point.
EVA LIKE IN NEON GENESIS EVANGELION 😱😱😱😱
Hahaha yes! 😂
