That moment when you thought the eyes were made of glass or something and thats why they were so exspencive but they are really made of giant dollar store googly eyes
It varies greatly per maker. I know some that custom mold plastic, use christmas globes, etc. but it's hardly ever glass because that would be too heavy and really dangerous if it were to break!
*TIP FOR STARTING MAKERS WHO USE THIS TUTORIAL* do *NOT* use cardboard as backing material! I know it's said in the tutorial that **pretend this is foam** but some younger makers might miss that. :)

@@naomigwolfe8112 I only have the foam base done right now. I'm kind of scared of furring it so I haven't worked on it in a long time. I do want to give it kemono eyes though.
@@Red5rainbow it is okay! Dont worry! I'm actually currently making my first pursuit head as well! (With these type of eyes) and if you work hard enough and are dedicated I'm sure you will make a fine fursuit head!
I was starting to worry that painting the eye would be hard, but I remembered that my characters eyes literally are just grey with a pink heart so I stopped panicking lol
These are awesome! The only problem I see however, is that the googely eyes will fog up and it’ll make it hard to breathe. When the wearer breathes the moisture can get trapped in between the buckram and the googely eye plastic, which can eventually “melt” the paint or make the paint on the buckram to get wet and the paint can start to drip and or wear off. Honestly I’m just gonna seal my eyes off, print my eyes and use the sticker paper method. Im thinking of using the “eyeliner” for ventilation. I also recommend using the ears for ventilation as well. Also consider putting fans in your kemono suit! Or even maybe get a fan prop you can stick in your suit’s mouth!

if you were to make a one colour eye (the pupil and sclera are the same colour) would you do this tutorial the same way or would you use the buckram for the whole eye?

Hi! I see you have the same kind of buckram I have and I’ve been having some issues. Do you have any tips or tricks so it doesn’t just keep bleeding through and actually stay on the buckram? (Sorry I’m a bit late haha)
if you add proper ventilation around the holes it might help with the heat. and the plastic might although it just depends on how much you feel like seeing, after all it's a fursuit
Does anyone have a good link for buying giant googly eyes? The only place I can find that sells really big ones sells a pair for like $55... Id be willing to pay that but I feel like they're probably available for cheaper somewhere else.
