Exactly the same workarounds I figured out. I had both levels though so I can also see animal groups. It's still pretty useless, and even camping next to a tower takes 10-15 reloads to get all zones in range. You get 2-5 zones each time and after a few times you only get 1-2 extra on already known zones where it fills in more animals times. 30 minutes is a silly long cooldown.
You should only have to reset one skill tree to start it and one skill tree to stop it. Rest stalker to start it so you can add more points to Ambusher. Then reset Ambusher to stop it so you can add more points to Stalker. No need to reset Stalker and Ambusher at the same time.
Did you experiment with doing this at different times of day? I’m curious if it only find zones with times that are close to or at the time that you do it?
Sirt with all respect YES that skill works! the only argument I have against it is, any casual player dosent cant afford to spend 320k on it. im current at 150k! maybe u can send me some foodstamps so i make it through the summer lol

I didnt know it was this effective. Definitely doing a little reset on skills.

Yes it doesn’t matter what time of day. Excellent question. It is not tied to that at all
