Just got back from 2,000 mile trip to Sturgis and back on my 2015 Road Glide Special. Nothing gobbles up the miles as easy as a Road Glide!!!
Always a pleasure working with John Maxwell, he's professional, funny, creates captivating videos, and is super great to work with! Thanks to everyone who has entered to win our giveaway!
Road Glide all the way! I've ridden both and the Road Glide absorbs wind and turbulence off of tractor-trailers better that the Street Glide. Less work, more fun on the Road Glide! '07 Road Glide with 160K Miles...
Road Glide! I’ve had four bikes in three years, and am very attached to my ‘19 Road Glide!
I rode a Street Glide for 9 years , Test road a 2017 Road Glide, Without a doubt the best Harley that I have ever owned.
Best bike Harley makes! ROAD GLIDE SPECIAL! Although I could be biased because I own a 2019 Road Glide Special lol
Haha, same here in billiard blue...
ROAD GLIDE OR NO RIDE! We have a 16 road glide and it’s our 3rd bike.... it’s awesome....
Got a 2016 road glide special! Love my baby girl
I owned a 14 SGS and a 18 SGS, I now own a 19 Road Glide S. The road glide is a much better bike IMO
Just bought a 2014 Ultra Limited 3 months ago. Loved it, but I’m on vacation this week and stopped at Outer Banks Harley in North Carolina and test rode a Road Glide and fell in love. Needless to say after them making me a deal I couldn’t refuse, I got a 2019 RG. So much nicer and I actually love the 107 motor compared to the 103 and I never thought that would happen. Me, the Sales Manager, and the General Manager met up at the dealership this past Monday and made the deal inside the dealership at 3am before I left to go home from vacation. They even offered to give me a job and they’ll send people to MMI for motorcycle mechanics all expenses paid. I think I just found my calling after 26 years. Thanks for the videos!
Pre-'15 I was a Streetglide fan. I've since been converted. Roadglide is my preferred touring bike.
The Lowrider is my favorite Harley-Davidson.
Had several street glides,,,,nice motorcycle, never liked the looks of the road glides shark nose fairing.......but after a test ride on a road glide, wow,,,,after I added the klock works shield, it's the best riding, best handling Harley touring motorcycle! A frame mounted fairing is the way to go. You won't go back to a street glide after owning a Road Glide, after a few rides to get used to the distance the fairing is away from you, it seems normal.
I now have a Road Glide CVO and love it!
Ocala Fl.
U are absolutely right, I hated the look of the RG,until I test drove a 2020 RGS...like night and day,at the end of the year,I will have one in my garage
That's it! your video pushed me over to the Road Glide and last week I bought a blacked out Road Glide Special. You are absolutely right, what a beauty! I already ordered the fang LED lights and replaced the turn signals with LED. Lovin' it
Riding my dads 15 SGS is what got me hooked on owning a bagger. I bought RGS bc it's a no-brainer!
I love it more every time I ride it. I even touch it when I walk by.
Been riding Road Glides for 10yrs and love them! I really like the new bars
Take that Chieftain for a ride!
Looking forward to Ciro designing lights for the Indians. Hoping it's next after all the Goldwing products.
I owned a 1987 & 1989 TOUR GLIDE - the predecessor to the R G. Since then I've had both Road Glides & Electra Glides. The Road Glide is tops! Less weight on the forks makes for better handling, plus the R G fairing gives better wind protection.
Owned 13 SG, 14 RK, 17RG, 19RG, Roadglide all the way!
I ride a Vision, so I am a frame mounted fairing kind of guy. SO Road Glide for me, thank you. Oh, and I am now a proud subscriber! Thanks John for all the great work.
Road glide !!! Cause I just picked up a 2019 RGS
Installed the Fangs on my Roadglide on Labor Day. Super easy! Perfect fit. Wouldn’t have done it if I hadn’t seen your video. Thanks!
Road Glide all the way! If you break state lines on heavily traffic roads you'll appreciate that stationary fairing.
Those are really cool John! If I had a Road Glide I’d definitely fit a set of those.
My wife and I agree, we want to see you on the Ryker. She's about to get a Rally so we would really like your thought on it. As usual, great video.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one whose taste in bikes is so varied.
And Roadglide.
Road Glide, I have a 2016 RG Special, same color as the one you are working on,
The Road Glide is definitely better😁! love how you and ciro3d give us the opportunity to win such awesome prizes. Keep up the great work kinfolk and stay safe brother 🤙🍻🍻
Bought the FLHX, because it looked cool. On my second FLTRU, because I love the ride. This my fifth bike with frame mounted fairing. I absolutely love my ‘16 FLTRUSE.
I have the fang headlight bezel on my Street Glide and love it. Get great remarks on it all the time.
Moved to a RG after several years on a SG, both great bikes, but the RG is the best handling bagger I've ever ridden. Light and nimble in the twisties, you forget you're on an 800+ lb motorcycle.
Road Glide! I went from a Street Glide to a 2016 Road Glide Special. The Road Glide goes down the highway like a bullet. The frame mounted fairing absorbs the wind vs. the bat wing. Big difference in handling and buffeting when you get passed or passing a tractor trailer. Never going back to a Harley bat wing fairing bike.
Road Glide, those lights are awesome.
Road Glide fan here... even the earlier ones as well. They handle so much better, plus for me the Street Glides have a weird side to side rocking motion that I don't care for. I loved the Road Glide so much, that I traded my Heritage Softail in for a 16 Road Glide Ultra.
Just traded my 17 Street Glide Special (18k miles) in for a 2018 Road Glide Special. After adding a set of 14" carlini menace apes bars and an 8.5" Memphis shades windshield, it's the best riding motorcycle I've ever ridden. Road Glide for the win.
Bought my 2018 Rode Glide Special year and a half ago. That’s my vote. Oh and as a bonus I found your channel. 👍🏼 👏👏👏 😎
Was a street fan for years... but i love the newer road glides now!
Owned a street glide until recently. Might've had something to do with seeing your journey with the heritage classic, so I traded it in for a Heritage 114 and I'm so much happier because of it! The bike is super light in comparison and there's plenty baggage room for a minimalist rider so many thanks John for helping us decide to part with the Glide 🤘
Owned many Street Glides but got my first Road Glide in 2017. I definitely like riding the Road Glide better. Takes me back to my old Goldwing days. Fixed fairing is the deal for slow maneuvering and cutting the wind on the highway. Thanks John.
I have owned both and several others . I am now riding 2016 Road glide now 39k on it and by far the Rode glide is a much nicer ride, in the twists and turns and the long open stretch of road with a crosswind. After 2 hours in the saddle you will feel the difference.
Another great info video by John Maxwell. I prefer the road glide myself. Went to a road glide after I totaled my ultra. Much better handling. My brother went to a road glide after his street glide said it was like going from no power steering to power steering. Much easier to ride. Keep up the good work and keep those videos coming.
2018 RoadGlide Special owner here so RG all day long baby
I own a Street Glide and I am considering going to a Roadglide!
Hay john for me definitely street glide. I like the way the street glide looks and on the highway I dont have any vibration. Your friend has some nice toys. Stay safe.
I have a Road Glide and Street Glide. Big love for both. Use them each to tour and cruise. I must say i do prefer the Road Glide overall (especially when touring), but just barely.
Love my 18 Road Glide Special, my first Harley Davidson, enjoying every minute of it
Road Glide for sure. The front doesn't feel nearly as heavy and the fairing is easier to take off in comparison to a Street Glide. I've ridden both my Dads SG and my RG and definitely prefer the RG.
Road Glide all the way!! But i do own a 2017 RG Ultra. BY FAR the best motorcycle I've ever owned. I dodn't like the pre-2015 road glides either...
Great video John, I also installed these lights on my Roadglide after watching your video. They are not as difficult as I had myself believe.
Own a 17 Roadglide Special. Have owned an Ultra, Roadglide all the way!!
Road Glide!! .... Willie G. says the Road Glide is the best touring bike that Harley Davidson makes and that is good enough for me... I've owned a couple and the fixed fairing is the smoothest ride you'll find in the Harley Davidson touring family.
Would love to see a video of road / verse street wind protection and handling.
I've had a street glide for just over 3 years and LOVED IT, right up until the point where I traded it in for a 2020 Road Glide :-), so I guess I'm in the Road Glide camp now. (That said the Street Glide was a fantastic bike)
Roadglide all the way. But I tend to ride longer distance. Fantastic bike.
Had a Street Glide now I own a Road Glide Special very happy.
Ciro3D ROCKS! Two Dirty thumbs up!!! Street Glide all day everyday....
All the Road Glide owners I know here love them with 6 figure miles. A few have had 2-3 RG's. Its my next bike. Ride Safe
Road glide hands down!!
Used to be a Street Glide dude but the Road Guide definitely takes it
Having owned both, I'm going Road Glide. Frame mounted fairing makes maneuvering at low speeds much easier. However, the batwing faring does cut the wind better. Burt the Road Glide, for rideability, wins.
Road Glide, hands down
Frame mounted vs Batwing. If you are putting miles down on highway it’s a no brainer. Road Glide hands down.
one of the best looking bikes out there. yes the newer style fairing is more refined
Love my 2011 Road Glide. Absolutely dread having to remove the fairing. I prefer the look of the older fairing though so I guess I'll live with it.
18 RG here!!!! Shark forever!
Street Glide all the way !!!!
As a big dude (6'6 & 300 lbs) I like the Road Glide. The street glide looks cool, but I feel cramped on it. Hoping to score a deal on one this weekend. My local dealership has a couple 2019's still available. I just need to have them put one of the taller demo screens on it to see if it helps with head bobble.
Hey John, are you going to make it to Paris Texas in October for "Bring it Home" with Adam Sandoval this year?
2019 Road Glide Ultra owner, love it
Road Glide Ultra is my next bike, so definitely Road Glide
Could we possibly have a guide on doing a belt adjustment on the new softail models, any tips and tricks that the manual doesn't have.
Hands down, Road glide!! 2016 roadglide charcoal pearl.
First, I'm a wannabe. I am a 51 year old that got my endorsement at 45 cause I was going to get my Harley, But things didn't work out as planed. So now I watch videos that has anything to do with Harley's and just dream. Plus you seem like a really cool dude. Anyway, I LOVE the Street Glide. Don't get mad at me Road Glide people, but I think the way that the way wing don't move is just weird and looks strange. But what do I know, again I'm just a dreamer.
Y'all's shop buddy 😎 videos are flippin' hilarious 😂. Too much fun even when y'all aren't going to work.
I took a serious look at the Road Glide before I bought my '11 Electra Glide Ultra LTD (a true touring bike), but I didn't like how far away the windshield is from the rider. If y'all have ever had a 🐝 come around the windshield and get in touch with y'all's collarbone...'nuff said!
Anyway, I'm not entering, just wanted to say 'Street Glide' if I have to choose. Keep the videos coming, John Maxwell. Safe travels brother 👊. GIT-ER-DONE!
Went from 18 street glide to a 19 road glide and will never own anything but a road glide now. Love it
Just bought a 16 road glide and way better then my street glide I used to have
I have a 2012 and well , I love it a lot more than my 04 Road-king Custom
Road Glide, but only the newer style like you mentioned. My 2020 should hopefully be delivered next week. If you can get some footage of a Tahitian Teal bike next week at the show I’d appreciate it.
Owned them both! Road Glide all the way!
Own a 05 FXDWGI, 11 FLSTSE2, and a 18 FLHXS. Love my Street Glide.
Road Glide. I like the way the fairing is further away from my face; it feels less crowded. But I ride a Road King - often without the windshield so I can see the road.
Love my 19 FLTRXS!
Now own a 09 Road King with mods to fit my 6'5" 320lb frame. Next bike will be a Road Glide. Street Glides are for little people. :)
Road Glide here too ....6'6" 300 ...
Really love my street glide. That said, I’ve never dug the look of the roadglide until I saw them with different bars. So, stock road glide, bot so much. Throw some T bars on, I’d consider the roadglide.
ROAD GLIDE! All day!
Road Glide hands down. The only caveat is that the radiators make it by far the hottest bike Ive ever owned in the summer. It can get sweltering, even driving down the freeway. Get into traffic on a hot day? Hope you brought some water..............
Road Glide.....more leg room...and dual headlights are da chit!
I owned a 2017 FLHX and loved it, until I rode a FLTRX. They are very similar but it feels like the Road Glide has power steering compared to the Street Glide. I still love both but I will only buy Road Glides from here on out.
2013 Road Glide Ultra - love it.
Love the RG....
Street Glide because I am closer to gauges....maybe if I was 6'2 (instead of 5'9)it would be road glide...not that I can afford either one...but a salvage project S Glide is in the works...Ogre Fix It channel in the works...thanks for the good vids JM.
road glide is wonderful i owned a street glide before but the road glide handles much better. i own a 2015 road glide.
Road Glide all day!!!
Road Glide. Love my ‘16 Ultra!!!
John, those Fang Bezels are very cool. My vote is for the Street Glide, I have more friends who ride those.
Funny your should ask Mr Maxwell.. Just traded in a 2012 Street Glide.. Always wanted a SG for trips.. Well heard all the raves about the Road Glide went and test rode one and loved it.. Just bought a 2016 RG and love it!! The frame mounted fairing is a lot easier to handle in the corners.. SG fairing is heavy
I prefer the looks of the Road Glide better, but I haven't ridden either yet.
I spy a Chieftain in that garage 👀
Road Glide is the way to go.
I love my 2016 CVO Roadglide Ultra!!
Road glide all the way
Road Glide rules baby!
Yo, notification squad!! Street glide for me.
That is some neat plug & play stuff . I have a 79 Sportster & a 06 vtx & I must say when I see a big heep of wires like that it makes my head hurt ( why do we need that many wires but when you get the spaghetti spread out it's not so bad
