The first time I heard this version I was a blubbery mess by the end. Vessel made it his own and when the Vesselette came in I lost my shit! Her voice is so beyond beautiful.
Now do us a favor and just react to that entire show. If you love Vessel and a simple accompaniment, every song will wreck you in the best possible way. There are also little snippets of a “message” played throughout the show that really hit the feels.

It's not the full song, sadly. Its a short clip of him singing it for a mic check during set up. But he, of course, sounds wonderful.

This song is always interesting to me, there’s a lot of religious imagery but it’s not actually a religious song and Leonard Cohen studied buddhism! However, as most music is, it’s open to interpretation 😁

Every time I listen to him sing this song, i get goosebumps. You can clearly hear the emotion in his voice and it gets me every time. 😢 But in a good way 😅. @@BraindeadBreakdown lol I've seen Shrek 1 and parts of 2, but that's about it. My daughter is 20 so I haven't watched animated movies in years 😂. I still love them though. I get goosebumps to this song in general, but Vessel's version is a whole different experience. It's like my goosebumps get goosebumps 😂 if that makes sense! I just know Vessel's voice is a God given talent and I am so glad we get to experience divinity through him.

All i will say to that, is that one is unfortunately letting a lore which is purely an aritistry, to get in the way of more amazing music by this deepy talented individual. However, i of course respect each individuals rights to prefer not to explore his back catalogue if they get a kick out of the band being an anonymous entity that worships a sleep god, and all that kinda stuff.
