hey dina. i know you've wanted to quit a lot especially w the extra time you've had to put into it overall. i know you cut back on time that you do it now but im proud of you for sticking etsy out for this long.
Hi Dina, I'm new to your channel. Loving all the great advise! I have been trying to open my own etsy shop, however I am having issues with setting up my bank accounts. I was wondering if you had any issues as a fellow Canadian or advise. I am really hoping toget things started for Q4. Love your channel and especially seeing it from a Canadian point of view. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! Hmmm, no I never had any issue connecting my bank account to Etsy, so unfortunately I can't help with that! Are you sure you put in the right codes and stuff?
Just popping in to say... your work ethic and drive is INSANE and you have inspired me and I'm sure many others. Not to mention I'm learning so much from you! Keep going girl!!
Hello Dina, I've been watching your channel for a long time and something came to my mind in your last video. I also have a UA-cam channel. I would like to name my store and promote it on my channel, but most Etsy users avoid giving the name of their store. What is the reason of this ? I would be very happy if you could explain this. Thank you in advance.
Yeah, it's to protect their shop, and I haven't revealed my shop either. Several reasons, with the main ones being don't want people to copy my niche, I want to share real results of growing on Etsy without using an existing audience, and I don't want my subscribers to click into my shop and not buy anything (and therefore showing Etsy that people are clicking my products but not buying -> lower conversion)
Hey Dina from what I’ve seen u need serveral hundred listings. At least 100-200. Maybe under 100 listings the data u get is too small to make a visible difference?
Great video Dina! Thanks once again for your insights👌🏽 I‘m currently updating my thumbnails as well, but I‘m unsure if I should update them all at once on Etsy or not, I don‘t know if I may screw up the algo on my shop lol what do you think guys?
Thank you! I typically do them in batches, so I change the listing photos of 3-5 listings at a time. Not sure if it does anything to the algorithm, I'm not sure either...
Btw seeing ur conversion rate. 1085 views 24items sold. 2.5% conversion rate. Yep. This is pretty good and is now falling into the normal curve . Your beginning few months with 4.7% conversion rate was quite high. Stat wise: a way to explain is that normal conversion rate on Etsy is 1-3% and the more listings u have the more you’ll fall into the mean curve. Thus at 2.5% conversion. You’re doing great. But you gotta pump out your listing speed by ALOT MORE
Yup that makes sense, it's just hard to see the conversion go down after a "successful" first couple of months. Haha I'm trying to add more listings, I'm trying!
Hi Dina! Thanks for the video! I’ve been watching your videos and I wanna start my etsy shop, but my country is not supported by Etsy, Can I register with my UK based business company on Etsy? Please I need your answer 🙏🏻
In my opinion your sales are down because it's Q3 and people dont' shop as much during this time... wait for Q4 to start in October and you should see a good climb. As a side note... your conversion rate is actualy pretty normal... again once Q4 starts you should see an upswing in everything. Don't expect so much your first year. A lot of Etsy depends on the algorithm and it takes time for your products to really find their place in the algorithm to generate more sales. Be patient.
Yep. Agree. There’s a chart that shows a graph with total listings on y and total revenue on x. Overall it’s almost linear growth. Least amount of growth is 100-300 listings. At 500 listens u see a visible increase and towards 800-1000 listings is when u really see revenue hitting high. Like over 300-500k
I would love to get someone to help me with my Etsy shop. Specifically, I want somebody to help me with all of the mock ups for the listings on Etsy. For me that’s the part that drives me crazy.
I have an Etsy listings Canva template that's free (linked in the video description), that might help if you haven't already gotten access to it. I also offer 1:1 coaching (link in video description) if you feel like you need more support!

The summer is the quite time for Etsy. Apparently it is from September to Jan with us the busy period x
Hopefully! Crossing my fingers!

Thank you so much! 💕
Your first 3 months definitely seems like an outlier. From all the other Etsy vids I’ve seen who also started out. Hope this helps :)

Hmm interesting! I definitely do not want to manage several hundred listings haha, that I know for sure.

Hi. Can you make a video on how to make free mock-ups for Etsy. I feel stuck 😮💨
Great suggestion, it's on my list!
@@DinaLu thanks!
Do you have a guide tutorial how to open an Esty account if someone lives in the Caribbean?
use vpn if needed and a wise bank account👌🏽
I'm too too sure about what's required for the Caribbean, sorry! I would see what Etsy says / what Google says.

My shop is registered in Canada so I'm sorry I can't help! Maybe check some forums?
@@DinaLu Thank you so much, Dina! What kind of forums?

Yep, good point, thanks for this! Will continue to see how this goes.
also 64 listings isn’t a lot :(. It’s very tiny
None of your free download links ever work for me
Recently I've been having problems with my email list! I just sent out the resources manually. Did you get the email?

Keep going! 200 to 300 extra is not bad. How many hours a week do you put in?
Usually 0-10 hours right now haha, it varies a lot!
