I watched a British series called Autopsy, exploring celebrity deaths and their last few days. Apparently the deep fried sandwiches Elvis enjoyed came from his childhood in the south. A lot of the foods he grew up eating weren't particularly healthy! It was reported in this episode that the autopsy discovered that Elvis had an enlarged liver, probably because of his drug use. It wasn't due to alcohol - Elvis was said to be teetotal, due to alcoholism running in his family and he didn't like to see people who were intoxicated.

Bacon wasn’t the issue either. The fact that he deep fried almost everything is alarming. He ate garbage food, didn’t exercise, and took drugs. If you treat your diet like an afterthought, you will look like an afterthought. Rip king.
"Alleged drug use"? 😆 He died from a massive drug overdose. He went to the dentist to get extra drugs on top of his usual supply from a doctor who prescribed 16.000 pills the last half year of his life. This is amateur hour.

Dental work without antibiotics can kill if the person has a heart defect. Any bacteria can go straight to the heart for those people and cause heart infection, heart failure or heart attack.
He had a congenital heart condition that ran on his mother's side and that has been well-documented. They did a genome profile on him and showed he would have had a heart attack even if he wasn't overweight and eating unhealthy. He also had a propensity towards glaucoma (which he had), migraines and joint issues (he had them too). So it wasn't all his diet and prescription drugs, but it precipitated his heart attack.
There’s a documentary “WHo killed Elvis”. He was taking mega doses of dangerous prescription drugs and his addiction to barbituants eventually stopped his brain & heart. He also had colon and other health issues. Very tragic. Priscilla and his inner circle tried to get him to go to rehab but he didn’t think the drugs were a problem since they were prescribed by a doctor. Now we know more and how dangerous they are.

They are exaggerating, he never ate all those calories. his maid and friends said he rarely ate peanut butter and banana sandwiches. His daughter and girlfriend said they never saw him eat it. These are internet rumors.
I'm actually impressed that he wasn't 600 lbs. Zero green vegetables. Lots of bananas, bacon, eggs, bread, eating at all hours or the day, and all he managed was a little pudge.
Wow, I mean I knew Presley wasn't the most healthiest individual but just by hearing all this really shed new light in what his diet was like and it both fascinated and pained me tbh with y'all
If he ate one a day I doubt he would’ve died early and if he ate more then 1 maybe he burned off all of those calories in the gym. Was your grandfather overweight or was he in a healthy weight?
I tried the peanut butter and bacon sandwich years ago because it was published in a magazine. It was surprisingly good but way too rich for me. I was wondering at the time how he could stand it.
PB + banana sandwich is one of my favorite things to eat, but I usually make a healthier version that isn't grilled in butter with bacon. I did make the real-deal Elvis version once and it was probably one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted.
My father abandoned us and we lived on peanut butter and crackers for four months. I was 14, and gained 30 lb, and still don't know how since we were basically starving. Some people have good metabolisms I guess. Elvis was so beautiful inside and out, and so very talented.
Elvis was born and raised a Southern boy so his diet wasn't unusual. Gladys used to bake Elvis a cocunut cakes almost everyday. Another of his favorites was meatloaf, mashed potatoes with brown gravy on them with crowder peas and sliced tomatoes. He liked brown beans with potatoes, tomatoes and cornbread. Elvis loved breakfast and had to have his bacon, eggs and tomatoes. She said he always liked orange juice and coffee with breakfast. Nancy Rook said that he ate tomatoes with almost everything. He liked butter on his cheeseburgers. Sometimes Elvis liked bacon 🥓 on his peanut butter sandwich. Nancy Rook said that Elvis didn't eat a lot of bread his last couple of years. She said that he started eating crackers. He liked Pepsi and Shasta everyday.
Please let this Wonderful man "Elvis" rest in peace. This man was a Loving Soul who gave his Heart and Soul to everything he did. It's been over forty years now. Reflect on the good things .
Fun random fact: Elvis of course is a Capricorn and Capricorn love comfort food. I know because I am one, lol. Btw, I love your channel. I also love your earrings. Where can I find those?
My father is a mega fan of Elvis and I went through his video collection and I found a book that his daughter claims he was using opioid like drugs. Research tells me that those sorts of drugs can spike in appetite. That's why people are confused on his cause of death he was on pills when he died but his food addiction is what killed him.
What's so interesting to me is the fact my mother admitted to eating the peanut butter and banana sandwich the majority of the time she was pregnant with me. (Of course she ate other healthier things) but over all she said her pregnancy cravings lead her to eating this infamous sandwich. And second thing she got me into liking the fried pickles as an appetizer. There is a restaurant here where I live where they sell it as an appetizer and I was with my mom and sister and that was the 1st time I tried it. I easily became addicted, but that was the only time I e had it. The restaurant is constantly booked it's hard to get a reservation there. And my schedule doesn't allow me to really get in the kitchen much to make my own. But one of these days I will go and eat medium sized bowl once again. 🥰🤘🏾♥️💯🎊👍🏾
I have literally been eating Peanut butter and banana sandwich for almost a year everyday for breakfast, yet I still manage to stay healthy. So I truly believe it was mainly his drug problem and binge on Junk Foods
Elvis is such a unique name never known anyone who was named Elvis even his last name is unique Elvis Presley. If I had a son I would like to name him Elvis.
How can any human keep down 100K in a day without dying of gastric rupture? I mean I had severe bulimia and ate up to 28,000 calories a day but it came straight but up. I think I 100% would have died in a single day from keeping all that down. Are you sure he wasn't eating more like 10K calories a day? That's still a HUGE amount, but it's believable. Dr Now often estimates his patients that weigh like 600-800lbs are consuming 30K-35K calories a day so I doubt Elvis was consuming three times THAT. Plus he'd need around 3000 a day to maintain weight (when he was overweight, that is) and for every 3,500 excess calories you consume you gain 1b. So ithat would mean Elvis would have been gaining 30lbs per day EVERY day.
It wasnt so much his eating habit...Over years taking many prescription pills messed up body mechanism. It ruined his metabolism, then he took diet pills to lose weights like a vicious cycle. He firmly believed in pharmacy solution for daily routine, upper/downer/diet/stage stimulation/etc.
Thank you for this video I'm a fan of elvis's music and movies. Now I understand how he put on so much weight. The PB banana and bacon sandwich is delicious and worth a try.

Bacon wasn’t the issue either. The fact that he deep fried almost everything is alarming. He ate garbage food, didn’t exercise, and took drugs. If you treat your diet like an afterthought, you will look like an afterthought. Rip king.
I find him someone to look up to because of how good of a person he was. He treated his everyone like family.
He had flaws, but he was different.
there is a cook book of his fav food. It's called Are you hungry tonight? "
Yup i have it!! 💕 At Graceland the sell about 8 different Presley cookbooks
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Suddenly, I feel less ashamed of my eating habits
"Alleged drug use"? 😆
He died from a massive drug overdose. He went to the dentist to get extra drugs on top of his usual supply from a doctor who prescribed 16.000 pills the last half year of his life. This is amateur hour.
oof 😓
i bet all of his friends and family wanted him to stop eating and drinking so much but he probably didn’t want to or couldn’t. thats addiction for you :/
I was kind of surprised that the bulk of the blame is pinned on food in this video. It definitely didn't help, but you don't keel over off of the toilet into a pool of your own vomit because you ate a few too many fried sandwiches. The description of his state when he was discovered is classic OD.
Orr his body couldn’t handle the obestse system
Cause in a yr he took 12 k pills so like how did he survive TIL then lol
Was he pregnant 🤰🏾? This food looks like something a pregnant person would eat 😂.
More like a 10 year old
@@divaprincess98 Right? 4 scoops of ice cream and cookies every morning?!
I was just about to write the same thing lol. Hence, the bacon and peanut butter combo wtf? 😂

Dental work without antibiotics can kill if the person has a heart defect. Any bacteria can go straight to the heart for those people and cause heart infection, heart failure or heart attack.
Either that or your antibodies attack your heart because it has a similar structure to a staph
That's right I was a caregiver to a man with a heart condition and he had to take preventative antibiotics every time he got some done at the dentist.
His mother, and five of her siblings died in their 40s.
migraines most likely caused by his sugar consumption. his glucose levels were probably sky high 24/7.
@@lizhorton5333 yes i agree. it was also the 70s - before fitness and health became a trend in the 80s. people didn't think about their health the way they do now.

Knowing the state of Elvis’ health near the end of his life is the reason I don’t believe the conspiracy theory that he faked his death.
How did his death become a conspiracy theory in the first place?
@@cityhawk because people couldn't accept that "the king" died so early so they wanted to hold on to hope he was still out there the same thing happened with Michael Jackson
@@GrosvnerMcaffrey I get that, but there were so many beloved musicians that died at a very early age, and yet never got the same traction surrounding their deaths as Elvis did. The conspiracy around Elvis’s passing never made any sense to me.
I remember the shows that came on in the late 80s-early 90s that would reinact sightings of Elvis after his death. It was quite ridiculous-- there was one where he was at a diner and got scared of a camera flash and ran.
This honestly breaks my heart. He was obviously struggling and nobody tried to truly help him- they only cared about his looks. He must have felt so alone.
The king ate like a king...
That's true
I need to go eat some fruit and go for a hour jog after watching this lol
Yes! Do it! I’m going to the gym today.
I think it’s because he was a country boy. I am from Kentucky and many of these foods I ate growing up.
I know. They act like it was freaky. I grew up in the south too, and many of these foods were just country food. Normal.
I grew up in the south, and I don't eat half of this stuff and I don't know anyone where I'm from who eats like that.
Please do a video on Farrah Fawcett’s diet and Or lifestyle?
100,000 CALORIES A DAY?!?! IS THAT EVEN REAL OMG 😳
Kilajouls
@Evil Pimp 100,000 calories isn't really possible.
They are exaggerating, he never ate all those calories. his maid and friends said he rarely ate peanut butter and banana sandwiches. His daughter and girlfriend said they never saw him eat it. These are internet rumors.
An elephant gets through about 70000/day.
@@6611haggis All vegetation!
I'm actually impressed that he wasn't 600 lbs. Zero green vegetables. Lots of bananas, bacon, eggs, bread, eating at all hours or the day, and all he managed was a little pudge.
He was 130 pounds over weight when he died. It wasnt a "little pudge"
@@annmarie8574 he was 350 pounds according to multiple sources
Claudia duran he also ate 3-5 cheeseburgers daily
banana and eggs weren't the problem but likely how they were cooked all that other stuff definitely was!
The drugs kept the weight off
Wow, I mean I knew Presley wasn't the most healthiest individual but just by hearing all this really shed new light in what his diet was like and it both fascinated and pained me tbh with y'all
I swear this is a typical all American country boy diet!! My dad is almost 70 and he introduced me into those peanut butter banana sandwiches 😋😋
Yeah its a country diet. If your roots are in the south then u understand
Peanut butter, banana, strawberries, and honey was my favorite sandwich when I was pregnant.
Yesss🙌🏾
It's the sneaking the food in as if its clothes for me 🤣
My grandfather lived on grease sandwiches every day, he would fry up bacon and saturate white bread in the bacon grease, and he lived till he was 97
And I suppose he smoked two packages of cigarettes per Day
He reminds me of Burgess Meredith's character in Grumpier Old Men!
That was by the grace of God lol
If he ate one a day I doubt he would’ve died early and if he ate more then 1 maybe he burned off all of those calories in the gym. Was your grandfather overweight or was he in a healthy weight?
I tried the peanut butter and bacon sandwich years ago because it was published in a magazine. It was surprisingly good but way too rich for me. I was wondering at the time how he could stand it.
It’s easy to get used to eating those rich foods. I used to be addicted to fatty stuff. Now I can only eat very small amounts of it.
I love that sandwich lol I only eat it once a month on a cheat day
@@tarabooartarmy3654 good for you Tara
PB + banana sandwich is one of my favorite things to eat, but I usually make a healthier version that isn't grilled in butter with bacon. I did make the real-deal Elvis version once and it was probably one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted.
RIP Elvis Presley, The King Of Rock And Roll. I ❤️ Elvis!
that's insane, a single cookie takes me out for a couple hours I couldnt imagine what would happen to my stomach if I ate like elvis for a day
What kind of diet are you following? Must be quite strict
My father abandoned us and we lived on peanut butter and crackers for four months. I was 14, and gained 30 lb, and still don't know how since we were basically starving. Some people have good metabolisms I guess. Elvis was so beautiful inside and out, and so very talented.
Listening to the ingredients in that sandwitch almost gave me a heart attack!
My stomach hurts hearing all this.
Watching this video's making me hungry!
Personally, I love a fried peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich! 🥪 😋
Gosh, poor Elvis 🥺
You are what you eat

He was eating like a "King" pun intended.
I absolutely adore Elvis Presley.
"And he went to work on those hot dogs" I'mma had to get a shirt that says that 🤣 story of my life
If I didn’t care if I live or die... I would eat like this too TBH
All I can say is wooooow, thank you for sharing
Please let this Wonderful man "Elvis" rest in peace. This man was a Loving Soul who gave his Heart and Soul to everything he did. It's been over forty years now. Reflect on the good things .
Elvis Presley was my eighth cousin. I never got to meet him. He died in 1977 I was born in 1985.
Eighth cousin that’s too far to consider him family or your cousin for that matter.
He even ate ice-cream with bread??? My goodness! Death in the plate...
The things we do to our bodies are heartbreaking 💔
My ibs gut would be howling
Exactly what I was thinking.
Right
I got a little sick watching this. How he didn't die when he was in his 20s is a miracle.
Thank you so much for upload this video.

It's impossible to eat 100,000 calories in a day. Even the people on My 600 Lb. Life consume up to 10,000 a day, tops.
i think there was a guy who ate 30k a day

Thanks for the Elvis content!! Its my favourite! 😊
Fun random fact: Elvis of course is a Capricorn and Capricorn love comfort food. I know because I am one, lol. Btw, I love your channel. I also love your earrings. Where can I find those?
Agreed. Lol
Very true! My boyfriend is a Capricorn with a major comfort food & sweet tooth.
Call us out why don't you lol.
Jk, but it's true
Capricorn and Taurus love confort food. Both my parents signs. They taught me to enjoy a good meal.
Mohammed ali was a capricorn tho
I felt fully satiated just watching this video and how you perfectly described each food 😅
Wow! I admire his taste in food 🤩 right up my street!
Heart attack also right up your street
My father is a mega fan of Elvis and I went through his video collection and I found a book that his daughter claims he was using opioid like drugs. Research tells me that those sorts of drugs can spike in appetite. That's why people are confused on his cause of death he was on pills when he died but his food addiction is what killed him.
Incorrect. He had a heart defect on his mother's side. He was overweight only the last few years of his life.
Damn it I got some bacon in the fridge…hold on Elvis! I’ll be joining you soon!
Type of diet that would scare Gordon Ramsay for life.
poor old boy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food is my weakness too. Although I don't over eat as much as Elvis did
I was in my grandmothers house in Ireland when I heard Elvis had died. I was walking down the stairs for breakfast and it was on the radio.
I was 8
Wow i mean i knew about him overeating but I didn’t know he had a deadly addiction to food
I have literally been eating Peanut butter and banana sandwich for almost a year everyday for breakfast, yet I still manage to stay healthy. So I truly believe it was mainly his drug problem and binge on Junk Foods
what's y'all's fave Elvis jam?🥰
his christmas tunes ✨slap✨
Was he the first person/entertainer who became known very quickly by his first name only? It's amazing, he really was a worldwide star.
Elvis is such a unique name never known anyone who was named Elvis even his last name is unique Elvis Presley. If I had a son I would like to name him Elvis.
Just listening to this is going to give me a heart attack
He died of a heart attack cuz of taking barbiturates. He was heavily into drugs it was very sad. I was thirteen in 1977 and remember when he passed.
Hey he lived a life fit for a king … live fast die young
He consumed 100,000 calories a day. Better fact check that one lol
For real lol! Definitely a typo...
Thank you for all your hard work.
Thank you for this video I'm a fan of elvis's music and movies. Now I understand how he put on so much weight. The PB banana and bacon sandwich is delicious and worth a try.
Wow, I used to drink Shasta as a kid. I didn’t know it had been around that long!
I have a 1950s Shasta Cherry Cola can, I found in my grandma's front yard
I loved the black cherry one like Elvis liked.
