@@victoriawhite3662 I have a copy of that book, got it in a used bookstore in the 70's. From what I remember it had a lot of the diet secrets of celebrities of the time. It was one of my favorite diet books. It made dieting seem a little more exotic and glamorous, instead of deprivation.
The 70s even spat out the Eggs & White wine diet... Sick way to kill your heart
It seemed like the women in the 20s and 30s had to be extremely thin while the women in the 50s and beyond were more about eating healthy and doing exercise
Your videos are really nice..
Audrey eating baking chocolate makes me sad? Surely she could have bought some good dark chocolate! Lol
Great video!!
video: a strange recipe mixing cottage cheese and sour cream
me: um, you mean the thing I used to have for breakfast at least once a week as a kid?
In Russia it is very popular to mix cottage cheese(Tvorog)which is usually dry ,with sour cream it is yummy!
Great video! I love seeing my favorite actresses. Did you check out Vera-Ellen? Supposedly her and her mother followed some strange diet fads. They say by the time she made White Christmas she was anorexic. If she was I don't know how she could be so energetic but she was really thin!
I think what West is talking about is the fact that corsets can alter the ribs and muscle so that your waist is reduced even when you take it off. If you have a good corset and wear it safely and frequently you can reduce your waist pretty quickly. I lost about 2 inches in a few months. Better than dieting for sure.
Excellent video! Thank you! 😊
Marilyn had a good diet.
Some say diets, some say eating disorders…
🤔 Because at a certain time period Hollywood was government run I wonder if some of the diets that the actresses claimed that they were on were dictated by them. Also what foods were more accessible at the time. 🤔
They had to be like sticks and probably never ate carbs.
Yeah I could never give up carbs lol or sweets. I'm a healthy weight but my teeth are starting to give me some trouble since having a baby, so I cut back the sugar a bit.

If the world hates you, know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
Many many people were hated way before jesus & many people have been hated after.
Yay, Christianity is so Pagan! 🏛️

I gained weight eating only 500 cals a day. And that was of salads and eggs.
Started losing weight when i added more
How? 🤔
Just wondering as I need to lse weight
Low calorie diets slows down your metabolism, making weight loss much more challenging because your body is literally in starvation mode and it’s resisting by trying to preserve as many calorie in order to survive. Abbie Sharp, a registered dietitian, talks alot about this her this in UA-cam channel.
This is a blatant lie.
