Veteran player here. The key to higher difficulties is to never stop moving. Always be moving backwards, especially while shooting. If you don’t you’ll get overwhelmed (and on hazard 4 and 5 that means death)

On the topic of Scout reaching hard to reach ores. If you take the HOVER BOOTS along with MAX RECHARGE speed grapple hook, you don't need platforms! Grapple onto ore way high up, activate hover boots, quickly mine a hole in the wall, then grapple into the hole before your boots run out.
One of my biggest gripes with videos of people just getting into drg is that they, very understandably, barely scratch the surface of what the game offers. Reaching level 25 and promoting opens up so much new content and it is seldom covered in reviews. Great video! I hope you keep playing to experience the great content that this game offers.
As a side note, swinging with the grappling hook is a skill expression opportunity! Because you _can_ "swing" with the grappling hook. It's all about the wrist.
The thing that really set this game apart from others for me were the funny animations when you reload with full ammo. The fact that they took the time to give most of the guns in the game a special animation when you don't need to reload, but you press the button anyway cemented in my mind that this is a passion project, and thus a game worth playing. The only guns that doesn't have such an animation are Collete (Driller's Microwave) and Nishanka (Scout's crossbow), and that's because they have special functionality with those buttons.
