"Stop bringing his gf back!" True, it's not a wise move; but McClane is kind of an "old boxer": he knows that taunting and harassing an enemy until it gets mad can create an opening, and he is good at that tactic. True, it mostly backfires when he is not in his element, like with a bunch of hackers (they took his money, then they took his daughter...) but low key the tactic partially worked: Gabriel got distracted enough until they got his location and Thomas Gabriel, a genius in computers, can't understang who this guy is sneaking behind his back and coming back for more. I love that at 45:53 Timothy Olyphant shows a shocked face in all the scene: it's not needed for the scene (in reality) or further described, but it shows how the hacker genius that has bested the best technological minds in the country isn't used to the level of violence and confrontation McClane brings to the table. He just can't figure him out... or Lucy XD.

It's awesome how quickly you guys picked up on how John McClaine was not "jacked in" and was "fighting ghosts" because that's exactly how the director pitched this sequel: "John McClaine is an analog cop, so let's thrust him into a digital world."
In all the Die Hard movie series everything about the villain's plan is about money: Hans Gruber- company's money Colonel Stuart- drug money Simon Gruber- gold bullion Thomas Gabriel- US's money
The first 3 are all super iconic but this one is really underrated. Lot of good action, Justin Long does well paired with Willis, personal stakes are still there, and the plans of the villains are more modern and still scary.
that part where the car spirals through the air in the tunnel? yeah they actually did that, the behind the scenes and wire work to pull it off is insane.
Maggie Q is a stunning actor that never quite got the Blockbuster role she deserves. Her best action roles are in Mission Impossible 3, Die Hard 4, The Protege and The Family Plan.
Definitely The Last Boyscout. Joe Hallenbeck is 100% John McClane after he FULLY stops giving af 😂😂😂 Easily my favorite Bruce role....and thats coming from a giant McClane fanboy. Definitely check that one out.
I absolutely love this movie so much. Lots of incredible action and so much crazy insanity going on. So glad you guys reacted to this. You guys are awesome
I saw this in theaters and it was legit chilling when the President mashup came on. It came right as I was starting to form my own story ideas and get into filmmaking. It’s not the best Die Hard movie, but it’s still fun as hell. Justin Long really makes this movie.
So I wanted to say congrats you two, you might be the first movie reaction channel to potentially watch all 5 Die Hard movies! I have been an insane fan of this movie series since i was a kid, and particularly, I collected many different versions throughout the years. When approaching the fifth and final die hard movie, many fans beg you not to watch it because the movie feels too rushed and short, well I have a special collectors edition that expands the movie, to make it an actual enjoyable watch! The original movie is rushed to 90 minutes, but this ultra collectors edition I have is 2 hours long! It fills in plot holes that the commercial releases don't show. I just want to see you watch the correct version of the fifth movie so you are not disappointed, because the movie is actually pretty good if you watch the correct version. As other versions of this movie leave people with confusion, and disappointment. I have a fitting version for the finale for you! And I can send it to you guys if you want me to. But if you already got a version of the fifth movie or already filmed your reactions to it, that's totally fine. (TLDR) Just wanted to let you guys know that I can send you a digital version of the fifth Die Hard film that expands the movie and makes it SOOO much better, so you guys aren't disappointed with the ones you find on amazon and other streaming sites. If you read that, thanks! And let me know!
Even though I'm a old man raised on Die Hard 1,2,and 3... I adore Live Free - I love the baddie and the story of a old hero, dealing with the 'modern' high tech bad guy was such a neat idea. Love the Kevin Smith cameo too!
36:53 i JUST recognized her from her role in "The Good Doctor" TV series on CBS. If I were ever to recommend a non-traditional medical drama to be reacted to, which I have NEVER done, even though they used to be my favorite type of TV show, this would be it. ER was my favorite and set many milestones, but "The Good Doctor" is more current, but faces non-traditional barriers. You guys, with your mature outlook at the world, with some of its social impacts, especially in the medical industry, would appreciate it. Even if you do it as a Patreon exclusive. Its a GREAT SHOW!
Saw this at the cinema with my mom.the best movie experience of my life.on the big screen with theatre sound its just fucking fantastic.love this movie.thanks for watching.
This one was the most over-the-top at the time of it's release, but in the best possible way! I still don't understand why so many don't like this one. It's a great action film! Really on par with what Die Hard is as a franchise! And if you think the death of that acrobatic guy was brutal, it's more-so in the Unrated Version with added gore effects. The Unrated Version just basically makes this an R rated film with more John McClane-esque swearing and stronger violence as apposed to the PG13 Theatrical rating.
My fave Die Hard out of the franchise!! Love your reactions! If you're up for another Timothy Olyphant movie, I really recommend watching A Perfect Getaway!!
In my opinion, this movie was amazing and underrated. It was the first Die Hard since the first one that had a legit sense of peril and danger, imo. McClane literally saved the entire country.
To be honest, I hope that they don't screw things up since they announced that they are trying to produce a prequel movie to the Die Hard series where they will introduce a young john Mclean. 🙏🙏 Pray that they don't ruin the franchise.
This has been such a great series you've done and you're editing is just so fantastic. Very enjoyable to spend time with you both. Thanks so much for sharing
This is my second favourite of the franchise. The R-Rated director’s cut makes it even better! Justin Long is charismatically funny; a great show with him in it is Giri Haji.
Very underrated movie. My second favorite die hard next to the first. The chemistry between Bruce and Justin is perfect. Timothy plays a perfect villain
loved the chemistry between long and willis - wished they had did more buddy movies together. 'live free' was actually my favorite one in the die hard series
What always blows my mind is that at the the time of the movie the internet had only been around in force for a little over 10 years, and yet even then we were completely vulnerable to this scenario. Imagine now 17 years later.
As a technophile I really loved this movie and could see the dangers back when it was released and think why it wasn't viewed as well is because so many don't understand our technology dependence.
I love Mary Elizabeth Winstead as his daughter Lucy. I loved her in the Harley Quinn movie as Huntress. I loved her in Kate as Kate. And I especially loved her in Ahsoka as Hera Syndulla. But this was the first role I saw her in and just the sass. The pure sass of Lucy McLane. Also, Justin Long and Bruce Willis' chemistry as the unwilling duo. I know the film wasn't that well received, but I personally still enjoy it.
I don't get it, why is she laughing? Lucy McClain shot Emerson in the foot in his boots, so that he screamed and groaned in pain for several minutes, penetrated with her tied hands into the holster with his gun and shot, so that Emerson almost died from pain, who was guarding her at that moment ( I don't see a reason to laugh (
This one was ahead of its time with technology hacking crippling of government agencies systems would be catastrophic very underrated especially directors cut of film
Noice! Paused what I was watching and came here immediately when I noticed this in the sidebar. You guys Rule, Cheers and Happy Weekend from Canada. 🥃☮❤ The third-best of the franchise and a great movie with an absolutely stacked cast.
There's so much in this movie that makes it good from Maggie Q who was a student of Jackie Chan to a cameo by Kevin Smith and a good villan in Timothy Olyphant who is amazing as Raylan Givens in Justified even an appearance by Sung Kang Fast and Furious and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Lucy. Oh and the song Justin Long was listening to was Flyleaf a chriatian rock band.😊
I really enjoy this installment of the franchise. It has all the ridiculous action bits as the others, and adds an interesting, almost father/son relationship between two very different protagonists. The villain was sufficiently villainy, and the setting was interesting. Even the FBI were competent, which they weren't in the previous movies where they had a role. The humour was there also. It was tonally different from the previous movies, although still a heist movie, but I was ready for a change in that regard.
Many people talk about Lucy McClain, but what did your daughter give to this film? There wasn’t much of her, at the beginning, where she had sex with a guy and had a fight with her father, showing her strong character, a little in the middle, where she was held hostage, told her father the number of terrorists, and at the end in the final battle, where she screamed along with the stupid jock Emerson, after hitting the henchman Thomas with the back of her head, penetrated with her tied hands into the holster with Emerson's pistol, after which she shot him in the foot and he dropped his machine gun on the floor, screaming, grabbing her hands so that she would not kill him with his own pistol, she turned around while Emerson was screaming and screaming and kicked Emerson's machine gun at his father and Thomas stopped him at the last second, then after everything she ran up to her father and sobbed for her attitude towards him at the very beginning. There wasn't much of her in this film, unfortunately (
Guys I think you’d like Swordfish. Could feel dated since tech has moved on but first movie I saw with Hugh Jackman. Travolta is great, plus Halle Berry & supporting cast. A ‘cool’ visual tech movie.
This one gets overlooked because it is outside of the trilogy, but aside from a few silly moments (fighter jet, et cetera) this is a really fun action flick.
A lot of underrated actors in this movie whether it’s Tim Russ from Voyager, that bald European guy from Walking Dead: Dead City, Cliff Curtis from FTWD, Justin Long, Timothy Olyphant, Maggie Q and more.
The unrated version has more swearing & a bit more blood, I'm from England & its title is Die-Hard 4.0 over here 😂 I think this is a awesome movie with great action & is my conclusion to the Die-Hard franchise as the fifth film is horrendous & best avoided.

It's awesome how quickly you guys picked up on how John McClaine was not "jacked in" and was "fighting ghosts" because that's exactly how the director pitched this sequel: "John McClaine is an analog cop, so let's thrust him into a digital world."
I'm from New Orleans. That FEMA line hit EXTRA hard when I saw this in theaters. And honestly it kinda still does...
In all the Die Hard movie series everything about the villain's plan is about money:
Hans Gruber- company's money
Colonel Stuart- drug money
Simon Gruber- gold bullion
Thomas Gabriel- US's money
Lol that is true 😂
The moment that Flyleaf "I'm So sick" came on, I legit gasped so loud 8n the theater and started singing along!
Justin Long was incredible in this film , his role in this movie and in the first Jeepers Creepers made him my celebrity crush 😂
The first 3 are all super iconic but this one is really underrated. Lot of good action, Justin Long does well paired with Willis, personal stakes are still there, and the plans of the villains are more modern and still scary.
Another Bruce Willis movie where he basically plays the same type of character is The Last Boy Scout which you will probably enjoy
that part where the car spirals through the air in the tunnel? yeah they actually did that, the behind the scenes and wire work to pull it off is insane.
"The Media Knights are reacting to another movie I haven't seen 😞"
Zuko: That's rough, buddy.
Maggie Q is a stunning actor that never quite got the Blockbuster role she deserves. Her best action roles are in Mission Impossible 3, Die Hard 4, The Protege and The Family Plan.
There is a little piece of John McClane in some of his other roles, as well!
The Movies "The Last Boy Scout" & "The Whole 9 yards". Check them out!
Those are some great recommendations, thank you so much! We'll definitely add them to our list!
Definitely The Last Boyscout. Joe Hallenbeck is 100% John McClane after he FULLY stops giving af 😂😂😂
Easily my favorite Bruce role....and thats coming from a giant McClane fanboy. Definitely check that one out.
I love how you just drop "discombobulated" in a sentence very casually.
I absolutely love this movie so much. Lots of incredible action and so much crazy insanity going on. So glad you guys reacted to this. You guys are awesome
such a underrated sequel, that white house scene is iconic and one of my favorites in the franchise.
I saw this in theaters and it was legit chilling when the President mashup came on. It came right as I was starting to form my own story ideas and get into filmmaking. It’s not the best Die Hard movie, but it’s still fun as hell. Justin Long really makes this movie.
This reaction made my day! I love this franchise so much 😍
Aw thank you so much, this is such a sweet comment! You just made our day also 🥰
So I wanted to say congrats you two, you might be the first movie reaction channel to potentially watch all 5 Die Hard movies!
Haha we loved the over-the-top elements in this, it really was a fun time! We definitely gotta check out the R Rated version omg it sounds awesome!
Wish people would've recommended it but the movie is fine as is just the R cut makes it more Die Hard
@@DanielGonzalez-vo5ni Unrated Cuts or Director's Cuts can just sometimes be hard to find for online viewing
@@OfficialMediaKnightsi prefer the pg version. Some like the unrated version better. It’s kinda 50/50.
Thanks guys, this is so cool! Long and Willis hit it off .
My fave Die Hard out of the franchise!! Love your reactions! If you're up for another Timothy Olyphant movie, I really recommend watching A Perfect Getaway!!
You should definitely need to watch "The Last Boy Scout", also with Bruce Willis, and it has the same vibes as Die Hard.
sidenote love this one! justin long was a great addition to the series! justin long is always a quirky character that hits the mark everytime!!!
Yeeesss, we love the character work he does, it's something new every time!! What a talented actor!
33:19 yeah its Maggie Q, trained by Jacki Chan, no doubles
In my opinion, this movie was amazing and underrated. It was the first Die Hard since the first one that had a legit sense of peril and danger, imo. McClane literally saved the entire country.
The first Die Hard will always be my personal favorite. Another great reaction.
Aahhh the first Die Hard just hits different!!
This was the movie that put me onto Flyleaf. Life would never be the same ❤
Freaking LOVE Timothy Olyphant!
Scream 2, The Crazies, Justified, man is a LEGEND.
@4:55 That was them tying up loose ends and eliminating the “useful idiots”. Brutal.
Great way to set the tone immediately!
Love your guy's reaction to all the Die Hards so far. You guys got to continue with the Lethal Weapon series. You will not be disappointed 😊
Very underrated movie. My second favorite die hard next to the first. The chemistry between Bruce and Justin is perfect.
Timothy plays a perfect villain
the song, "Im so sick" by Flyleaf. Shes got a wicked set of pipes on her.
loved the chemistry between long and willis - wished they had did more buddy movies together.
McClane has always been a detective
~7:51 "That's a sick song"
Made me lol because the title of the song is "I'm So Sick" by Flyleaf xD;
Oh snap its my favorite Vulcan Tuvok didn't notice him before
I love Mary Elizabeth Winstead as his daughter Lucy.
Lucy McClain shot Emerson in the foot in his boots, so that he screamed and groaned in pain for several minutes, penetrated with her tied hands into the holster with his gun and shot, so that Emerson almost died from pain, who was guarding her at that moment (
I don't see a reason to laugh (
Mary Elizabeth Winsted is amazing in this. She said shes the polar opposite of her character, but she nails it lol
Always enjoy reactions on this channel. Feedback during films is A1 enjoy the banter
Hi folks! You two are my favorite reactors, here on UA-cam. You both are cool and feel like real friends 💯
Just to say , can’t wait for your next reaction as soon you finish one! Keep it up guys, it’s a fun company “watching” a Movie with you two!
This one was ahead of its time with technology hacking crippling of government agencies systems would be catastrophic very underrated especially directors cut of film
THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIE FROM THE FRANCHISE IM SO HYPED TO SEE YOUR REACTIONS !
Watching this with you makes me realize how good this movie was. Great reaction.
Noice! Paused what I was watching and came here immediately when I noticed this in the sidebar. You guys Rule, Cheers and Happy Weekend from Canada. 🥃☮❤
The third-best of the franchise and a great movie with an absolutely stacked cast.
Aw this is such a sweet comment, thank you so much!! You made our day!!
Much love back to Canada, thank you for being with us!
You two look like reactors who would LOVE Hayao Miyazaki. They are my childhood and you will be honored to go through the same journey I did.
One of my favorite scenes is when there in warlocks basement. And he asks him are you a fan of the Fett? No I was always into Star Wars
That was Fun! Thanks guys.
I love when Justin Long gets his wrist twisted by Maggie Q and he gives that weak ass "okay🥹" line🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
7:55 8:57 9:31
14:34 18:03 18:53 29:02
29:52
This one gets overlooked because it is outside of the trilogy, but aside from a few silly moments (fighter jet, et cetera) this is a really fun action flick.
A lot of underrated actors in this movie whether it’s Tim Russ from Voyager, that bald European guy from Walking Dead: Dead City, Cliff Curtis from FTWD, Justin Long, Timothy Olyphant, Maggie Q and more.
Timothy Olyphant has had some wonderful performances besides this move, of which include A Perfect Getaway, The Girl Net Door, and The Crazies.
The unrated version has more swearing & a bit more blood, I'm from England & its title is Die-Hard 4.0 over here 😂
I think this is a awesome movie with great action & is my conclusion to the Die-Hard franchise as the fifth film is horrendous & best avoided.
aaah.... actually..... would you object to some construction criticism!!??! your chemistry and knowledgeability is amazing. your stills and comments are top knoch. it is soooh obvious that you are NOT afraid to do things RIGHT! PLEASE, keep up the good work!

I was waiting for your reaction to this one hahaha This one is my favorite. ❤❤❤
This movie catches flak because you know, some of the action sequences are completely insane (like him playing chicken with a fighter jet) but I love it. He still comes hard with the one liners
Mary Elizabeth Winstead is such a great actress and a great choice to play john daugther.
53:25 He not only took out a helicopter with a car - he upgraded and killed a jet with a truck - in the same freakin movie
What a fantastic character arc 😂😂
It's a great new story with everything still being familiar and fun the whole time. So enjoyable binging today with all of them with you guys😊

@@Blade-n7p wow. That was a thought-pocking response. 🤔
@@RockPowerUSA in response to what?)
@@RockPowerUSA Emerson is the weakest villain in this film, no one in this film screamed and moaned for several minutes like him, it seemed to me that when Lucy McClane got her hands into his holster with a pistol and after she shot him in the ankles, she would kill him because he actually groaned in pain for several minutes, in these few minutes he could have been killed, but in the end Matthew did it)
@@Blade-n7p So, what made you decide to use someone's daughter in your response? Just a typo or I'm always curious why you have that type of name for your UA-cam profile? What makes you not use your real name? This is my name. However, I know many people don't like to use their own name. They usually use something clever describing their character. In the significance of XC5VD7OBK, Mr. User?
DH one is obviously the classic, but four is by far my favourite.
Great review guys. Awesome. Great 🎉work!
And that is why here in Spain it is mandatory to drive with your lights on inside every underpass and tunnel there is.
Finally! I'm so glad you reacted to this. Die Hard is my favorite, this is second and Die hard With a Vengeance is third. Anyway, I was hoping you'd like it.
This one has the best use of his "Yippie Kay Yay MFer" line, in my opinion.
And then he shot through himself to shoot Thomas Gabriel
@@jamesbartee6184 That's why I think it's the best use of it.

Fantastic reaction. Thanks again for a fun time. I’m so glad you liked this one it’s one of my favourites in the series. A lot of people will tell you don’t watch the next one it’s terrible it’s not that bad it has a lot of action. I feel it’s a good idea to watch it so you round up the series and form your own opinion. I don’t tend to hate things I take them for what they are and if you watch the next movie in the series, I hope you will just take it for what it is just a fun action movie. Anyway, thanks again. You guys are so great. I really really enjoy your channel. 😊😊😊
Absolutely love you guys. This is starting to become one of my favourite channels.
Please for the love of god dont watch A Good Day To Die Hard, this is where the franchise should end. On a high note, not with that abomination.
this is my Christmas holiday movies to watch love Die Hard franchises and LOOOOOVE John thanks guys
Thank you for watching this with us!
