Man I was 15 years old when this song came out. Everyone in my neighborhood used to sing this song every time it came on the radio at the time. I mean young people, older people, blacks , white people, just everybody. Anyone reading this from Crestwood in Chesapeake, Virginia “what’s up” you definitely know what I’m talking about. It was very popular in 1976/77
This song was on the Spark of Love album. It was the first LP I ever bought. Lenny won me over at 13. Years later, I was blessed to see him live in Atlanta, GA. His voice was still as crisp and wonderful as I remembered.

Thanks Hari! I was hoping you hadn't heard the song. In my opinion it is the best love song ever performed. Lenny is so good. Still, to this day, sounds amazing and still a great performer. I loved Tower of Power and own their vinyl along with Lenny's. Sunday mornings it soothes the soul.
