    When to go:
    - Ideally 2 hours before a spring low tide. Always check tide times and weather forecasts.
    Where to go:
    - Anywhere permitted that is away from drain or sewer outlets. You need to obtain a permit from the post office beforehand.
    What you will need:
    - Good footwear so you don’t slip or get cut on any rocks.
    - A bag to collect them in.
    How to prepare:
    - Soak in fresh water an hour before cooking.
    - Clean shells with a wire scourer
    - Remove the beards
