I never had a role model growing up. But now being almost finished with Uni and having new life paths ahead, I aspire a lifestyle like yours! Your message reignited what I lost since my childhood, a longing for Nature, living in the countryside and growing food. You're my role model Gaz!
Foraging for mushrooms must feel like finding gold….to be made into a very delious meal..surrounded by the beautiful forest..life doesn’t get any better…. 🍄
I really love the type of videos you currently do and find it said that they don't get as many views as the normal cooking videos. But please don't be discouraged by it, you're making art. I very much enjoy what you are doing now, much more than the same sort of recipe videos everyone else does. You're creating something unique, and I love it!
I’m sure one could remake this recipe, and in an actual kitchen, no doubt. However I have dreams of what that forth bowl, on this day, at the time of this video, in the middle of the first actually tasted like. I would’ve loved to experience this.
I really liked this. A bit excentric in a good way. And I love that you Gaz also feed the photographer. Modern way of telling a story. We all know that he/she/they are there anyway. Why not includ him/her/they?
This is just so calming and aesthetically pleasing, as well as being educational. I particularly enjoyed the audio in this one, the instrumental paired with the wild sounds, perfect. Fantastic job Gaz and team, as per usual. It's bloody hot and humid here in Australia, I've got my aircon on, living vicariously through this video, dreaming of the crisp earthy air in the Welsh woodland.
I agree, such a beautifully shot video, and mushrooms freshly picked, Wow! My mushrooms come from the supermarket, and yes, I’m also sitting in aircon, in Western Australia, it is bloody hot 🥵!
I love mushrooms and your dish looks amazing. I live in the pacific northwest, Oregon, and we've got no end of yummy ones, but I've never heard of several of the ones you got, or even seen pictures. Those purple-grey ones were just lovely!
What a dream of a video! Reminds me of some fellow hobbits searching for mushrooms to prepare their beloved second breakfast, enjoying the simplicity and beauty of nature and life to the fullest!
Watching this one made me proud to be vegan to be able to just pick some veggies and cook them wow, and excited to eat which is rare for me personally, lovely video as always
Super Nice video :) I’m a forager too, and mushroom hunting is the best thing ever 🍄 Can’t believe you just walk away from the Tropping Funnel 😆 It’s an edible mushroom, and truly delicious 😃
It’s a shame mushroom season is so short. I just did my first ever season, found hundreds of species. Even the magical Garland Roundhead. Fun hobby indeed.
Yummm that soup looks delisssh! One of my best childhood memories is foraging mushrooms with my dad in Northern Spain, he still does it every weekend and gets so many good ones! Then my mum cooks them in the most delicious ways! Love this type of content Gaz! So wholesome!
Keep it up Gaz. More foraging content would be good. Give a "safe" guide to mushrooms. It's easy to tell a false chanterelle from the real deal with a few pointers for example.
As the saying goes: May the spores fall favourably upon you ;) As a mushroom hunter myself, I love this type of content and getting new ideas for cooking with wild mushrooms.
As a new content creator, travelling around the world and learning about different foods as I go, this video has inspired me to upload more food oriented content and recipes. Your style of content creation is also amazing! I hope my channel can inspire others as yours has inspired me. New subscriber!
more foraging content pls! ❤ super love everything about this vid, the quality is phenomenal. i can feel the warmth of that sunshine that seeped through the forest floor (komorebi in japanese) just by watching it 🌤️and the rustic yet aesthetic vibe of the whole thing 😍 looking forward for more vids from u like this! ✨
Gaz, I love your channel, cooking and vibe. This is by far the best video I've seen. You need your own show on something big like Netflix. Seriously, you're amazing
My daughter foraged a kilo or more of Saffron milk caps today in the Blue Mountains… out of Sydney….many 20cm in diameter. Gaz I sent her your mushroom videos to check out. What kind of burner stove was that please?
Love this vid, love your content, lurrrve the foraging, lurrve the Welshness(heart home), lurve the type of food and all the ingredients…… Basically this was a “Lurve Affair” for me 🥰🙏 You could come to Warm Wales (Mountains of Portugal) and stay with us Brits…..great place for foraging 👍
What a great vid and so inspiring , how come it such a short episode???? Would have loved it to be longer. Gaz you are the best!!Love and Light from Amsterdam Holland, 👏🏽💫
Got really into mushroom *growing* recently thanks to Sarno's lion's mane steaks, have a whole tent set up now and am starting on pink oyster + black king soon- but once the weather's warm enough for me to stop hibernating, I definitely wanna give foraging like this my first try!
I loved seeing you forage for mushrooms. I don't know which ones are safe to eat or not, I would be lost. Your mush-room joke was funny. 😂 That burner is super cool. The only thing that freaks me out, is not being able to wash the veggies. Every time I buy Shanghai, the leaves have a lot of dirt underneath and sometimes dead bugs, so they definitely need to be rinsed. 🤢 Also, the majority of the mushrooms I buy are full of dirt and I need to give them a little rinse too. Hopefully no animals peed on the ones you found. 😂 The dog was like, don't touch my dad lol. Then later it was surprising to see how behaved she was with a stick and just stayed on the blanket. Did she also get some soup or was it too salty? 😂
You and your team are doing such an amazing job... It was incredibly relaxing to watch this video! Also, I love how we can see your passion & respect for each ingredient you have in front of you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 🍄
Beautiful video!!! So calming and warm. Wonderful to watch right before bed to get sleepy peacefully. And good recipe too. More vids like these please ❤
This looks delicious and I would love to try it. I enjoy miso and mushrooms so I know that the tase was probably wonderful. I love the foraging videos along with the garden videos where you are creating meals with what you grow and find naturally. It’s always something different and there is a lot of unique things that come about. Your friends all seem so lovely and the pup with his stick was so cute. Your content is always a bright moment and much appreciated. 😊
I like Foraging content. It was my favourite part of Antonio Carluccio's content. This was at another level , with the Asian flavours and gorgeous bowls.

Saaame, here in Perth sweating my proverbials off - how good is it to project ourselves into a cold Welsh forest 😀
Big thumbs up on foraging content! Soup looks SO appetizing😋

I am simply shocked, shocked I say, by the lack of comments about Betty. What a sweet and spicy little girl. ❤️😂 Wonderful video, as always.
I was scouting the comments if anyone had something to say about how stunning she is

1:29 - I think this one might be deadly (Cortinarius rubellus), though one would have to see the gills and stem in more detail to be sure.
