Foundation is such a personal thing. That formula may work better for an oily skin gal. I can’t get along with that foundation with my dryer skin, but a person standing next to me may love it. Thanks for the wear test.
Surrat Dew Drops is my favorite. It easily is hands down my favorite. I don’t know how they do it but they do :)

I just love this foundation! This one along with the Sublimage in the jar are my two favorite foundations. I can count on them to look my best.
The foundation looks lovely on you Michele! I’ve had it for a few months and it took me a while to figure out how I like to wear it, as I had a similar experience with it taking a long time to sink in and set down. I love it now just using 1 single pump and powdering lightly around my nose 😍❤️

You took the words right out of my mouth Michele, this foundation is ok but does not look nearly as good as some others you’ve tried recently i.e. the Dior Cushion foundation, the Clinique Serum foundation, etc. and for that price you’d expect it to make you look twenty years younger!🥰💜
I just tried the new Shishedo Radiant Synchro Skin absolutely a beautiful foundation used with the Synchro Skin primer oh the skin looks fantastic!! Wears all day I’m combo skin and my natural oils peek through and looks even better! A must try!!

Great review Michele !! Have this foundation sitting in my Chanel cart for the next time I place an order. I have been looking forward to this foundation release since I first heard about it When you mentioned it taking a little longer to dry down, I remembered the Chanel sublimage foundation in the jar also took a bit of time to dry down as well. Would you say the Chanel brush that comes with the foundation is a good buy? Too bad they don’t sell it on its own, love the look of the brush!
I had a sample but felt it was moving around, and as you said like it was ontop of my skin. After a few hours it was really patchy.

I know that you commented on your nail color in a prior video. I can’t stop staring at them. I love them. I want to get to the spa. I have not been there in a year. I do my best, but my degree is in accounting.

Good review. When I'm potentially interested in a product, I tend to watch multiple reviews. Erin Nicole said she liked the Sublimage L'essence but only with cream products--no powders. Since I'm interested in serum type foundations, and a more natural finish, this one caught my attention. However, I'm still on the fence because of the price. Cost will always be a part of my final decision.

I agree. For such a pricey foundation. It’s not great. It has to be a no fuss product.
I have a love/hate relationship with Chanel foundations. I love some and hate others. I could never get the sublimage le teint in the pot to work for me. So I was hopeful and ordered this serum version from Selfridges. I have tried it four or five times with different primers, and I am sad that it doesn't seem to work for my dry and flaky skin. I haven't tried powdering it. But I know what you mean when you say it sits on the skin and doesn't sink in right away. I will try it some more, but like you, I prefer my various Dior foundations,

Hey beautiful Michele I just reviewed this on my channel as well and I wanted to compare it as far as the color match to my ultra Le Teint . It did oxidize on me a little bit, and you’re right it does get mattifying when I put the Chanel Universal Powder on.
The enfleurage technique is what we are paying for here among other things I love Chanel but this was not a wower for me. And I agree it’s not long wearing
I was curious as to how this foundation wore, as I’m looking into purchasing a foundation, so I really appreciate the review. I like the idea of having skin care in a foundation, and at least have something that provides some hydration for my mature skin, so this was one that intrigued me. There’s another Chanel Sublimage Le Teint Foundation in a jar, on Nordstrom’s site. This one gets high reviews.. I wonder if it’s comparable. You don’t seem ‘wowed’ by it.. thanks for the review.. much appreciated! Think I’ll try the Chantecaille sometime in the future :)

It looks great on you, Michele! But at that price point, I feel like as a consumer, I am entitled more. Loll!! At that price point, I feel like the product needs to make me jump off of the couch Tom Cruise style! 🤪🤣. The Les Beiges foundation from last year is “only” $60, and it doesn’t seem like this one is drastically better... 🤔

Her review back them actually had a comment that she preferred the la mer. I should have listened. The sublimage cream is pretty dry and underwhelming. The hype is unfortunate

The Sublimage Eye Cream has THE most fabulous fragrance - I wish they’d bottle it 🤤 I wonder if this foundation smells the same. (For anyone wondering, no, the eye cream is not great. I did not notice a difference after a couple of jars).

I just can’t get along with Dior foundations. They settle. They emphasize my pores. This one is working beautifully for me. I have b10 and dry and dehydrated skin. It makes me look healthy and radiant. It’s just lovely! I usually use the traditional Vitalumiere (not aqua) and I love this one just as much.
Ohhh no!!! I love Dior!!! It's one of my favourites! Both vitalumiere and V aqua, currently finishing off my very old Diorskin.
I have a few high end foundations but one of the drugstore looks the best 🤔

I have this foundation & I have extremely dry skin so I figured since it's anti-aging maybe it would b a good fit 4 me bc I jus turned 50 & my skin is getting more & more dry...It did dry down on my skin after a couple of minutes,I kno a lot a people say it takes a long time2 dry down,I didn't have that problem however I did notice that the foundation had moved around B4 it dried & looked alittle blotchy specially on my 4head,some areas had the foundation on it & some didn't,I tried a couple different primers & it stil moved around & dried blotchy so I decided 2 try another primer,the by terry hyaluronic hydra primer,I wasn't sure I should try this primer bc it said it was a matte primer & I have dry skin so I wasn't sure but I tried it anyways & it worked perfect with this foundation,the foundation didn't move around & was not blotchy at all,I think bc it's supposed 2 b a mattifying gripping primer it held this foundation in place & I could actually c wat the foundation is actually supposed 2 look like & I can tell u now that it's staying in 1 place it's an absolutely beautiful hydrating foundation..so if u stil have this foundation in ur collection it may b worth trying with the by terry primer,it really was a game changer & I can use this foundation now & I'm so glad bc I spent 150 on it so I was pretty determined 2 make it work & it works gr8 now.

I really enjoy your reviews! Always very helpful. How does the Chanel compare to the Macrene Actives as far as coverage? I am looking for a more light coverage foundation. The Chanel Sublimage L'Essense de Teint is not available yet at my Nordstroms , however, the Macrene Actives is available. Both around the same price range. Should I wait for the Chanel, or go for the Macrene? Thank you.
I think you are after something plump and beautiful as i was too. I searched like crazy and found one girl hating the macrene tinted cream, but liking the skincare. Personally i went for the cream first and its awful consistency and lack of efficacy put me off trying the rest. Sublimage cream is very dry, chantecaille Future quite so too btw. Since this has very unsatisfied reviews and i had an amazing experience with d&g gloriouskin.. go for the latter if you like fresh but perfectioned, plump skin. Goes on like a moisturizer and is the hydrated healthy skin that i wanted and i imagined the macrene to be like when looking into it
I have a sample of this foundation and the original Sublimage Le Teint.
Right now I am still testing this out on my very dry, pigmented mature skin. I have B20 in the L'essence and 21 Beige in the Le Teint.
I would say they are both medium coverage at best; my hyperpigmentation does show. However, I do not like heavy full coverage foundation.
Just wondering what is your favorite skin- like foundation?

I didn't like it at all. I had a sample and found it showed all of my pores, didn't settle well. Maybe it just didn't like my skin? In any case I returned it. Didn't perform well given the price.

Foundations are so personal... time ago everyone was just excited with the Sublimage from Chanel. I bought it because there were so many good reviews... I have combination skin and by now, winter it's sooooooo dry and weird on me. I don't like it at all. Will try the Chantecaille cushion soon... 👍

Hey girl!! So recently I got sent the Chanel ultra le teint velvet sample, only to find out it has been discontinued. I absolutely LOVED it, and was wondering if you knew of another Chanel foundation I should try that is similar?

Lovely presentation and packaging but I feel a bit underwhelmed this time. I just bought Le Beiges And I really love it. This foundation does not come in my exact shade which is BD 131. I would have to get 121, which I guess is fine considering it’s a medium coverage but I think I’m going to wait for a shade expansion.

I so rarely wear foundation but am always very interested in your reviews (heck, I love all your videos). So interesting the difference in formulation and wear over time. Like others, I'd love to see a foundation roundup, and how this compares with, say, TF Shade and Illuminate and Surratt Dew Drops.

I have the Sublimage. original that comes in the jar. Love it! I did get now the liquid one in the bottle with the pump and dont like it. It jus sit on top of my skin. I have try different brushes. Differen primers. No primer and it just dosent work for me.

I wish the brush wasn't sold either it. It's forcing a sale onto the customer, whether they like it or not. Also, it bumps the price right up there.

I have this foundation & the sublimage that comes in the jar, I have dry skin & I think the 1 that comes in the jar is way more hydrating,which is not wat I've been told ,I already had the 1 that comes in the jar & I ordered this 1 bc I was told & heard on UA-cam that this 1 the serum version was way more hydrating thats y I bought it, but it's not,the 1 in the jar is so much more hydrating & comes in my perfect shade whereas the serum foundation,the 1 in this video only comes in 12 shades so I probably won't repurchase,I wil keep repurchasing the 1 in the jar in my correct shade bc it's more hydrating & $15 cheaper..I'm glad I tried both tho 2 c which 1 I liked the best & I like the sublimage in the jar so much better,I have no idea y people r saying it's more hydrating than the other 1

I tend to have issues with serum type foundation sinking in and sticking to my skin in general. So aside from the total lack of shades, there is nothing close to my BR112 match, it also seems like it won’t look good on my very dry skin, especially where I do have old eczema patches.
I try not to powder too much cause my skin is very dry, so having to powder is a no go.

Hi Chanel is a lovely foundation 🌸would be nice if you could find dupes for it that a lot of people could afford to I have two of the Chanel & love them but it is expected as they are pricey enjoyed the video 🌸☘️

It looks lovely on you, but I agree there are better foundations out there. Personally, the only Chanel foundation I love is the Water Fresh Teint.
