I purchased the foundation last week at Ulta. Went in for a new round brush for styling my hair and was obviously blindsided by the Chanel display just inside the front door. The Ulta display merchandiser is not stupid ‘cause it worked - I bought the foundation. I left the other products on the table - foundation did enough damage to my budget 😬. It looks lovely on this 74 year old face, even at the end of the day. Happy to have bought it.
I am SO impressed with this foundation. I only bought it out of curiosity and didn't have too much of high hopes for it, especially the longevity. But I wore it twice in a situation where I had to have a respirator on for several hours (with all the sweat and humidity that can build underneath it, sorry for the gross details...) and then had to look presentable afterwards without the possibility of doing/retouching my makeup in between. It did not budge, my skin looked great (my husband even gave me compliments on how great my skin looked that evening). I am not saying what is usually the case with other foundations (and I am usually fine with it, as I try to be realistic in what I can get out of a foundation in terms of performance) that it disappeared gracefully. No, it was still there, intact, still looking natural like perfected skin. I am amazed. Usually the lighter type of foundations, which look like skin, I love them, but they also do not last as long, especially in tougher circumstances and this is just incredible also in this respect. This one may even beat Chantecaille foundations for me (which are the only ones so far that have had both the natural perfected look and could last on me, all the other foundations usually at the very least rub off around underneath the rim of my glasses).
Would love to hear a comparison of this with other Chanel foundations.. have a few I've been coveting, the Sublimage line, some of the Les Beiges products.. would be so grateful for coverage and longevity comparisons!!
I would say it's more cheer than vitalumiere, similar to Vitalumiere aqua, without the extra shine, certainly luminous, but more Satin like, certainly thinner in consistency once applied, but blends in like a dream. It reminds me a lot of a cle de peau formula somehow. It's like a light Serum that dries powdery without the cracklyness of it.

@@steffimarie1022 that's a hard pick...well Vitalumiere Aqua has sunscreen (OCTINOXATE 6 % /TITANIUM DIOXIDE 5.6 %) which Chanel No1 does not. So ur using for everyday, or with flash photography, I would stick to the Chanel No1, throw on ur favorite concealer under or on top & call it a day. Personally octinoxate breaks me out, so even tho I luv the finish of Vitalumiere Aqua, I cannot wear everyday. Hope this helps 🤗

I really appreciate your foundation reviews. I also appreciate ur shade matching. It seems like so many influencers see their skin as darker than they are and wear foundation that is so much deeper than their skin tone. Even if matching to their tanned skin. Ur shade matching is always spot on. Also appreciate the minimal layers of foundation that u apply.
I also liked it a lot! I purchased it this past weekend and haven’t felt the need to alternate with my other foundations. It’s lightweight, so comfortable, undetectable and not drying at all! It’s not overly Dewey, either! My new favorite ❣️ thank you for a great review! 😎

Yay! Was waiting for you to review this 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’m waiting for mine to arrive to my home this week. I’m obsessed with the lip/cheek balm 🥰 another youtuber used a stippling brush to apply the balm. It applies so much better and more seamlessly. Try that way instead of using your fingers. And it does work very well over powder as well.

Since I love the Les Beiges Tinted Moisturizer, I am very excited about this new foundation and will order soon. Looks very natural. I've already gotten the lip and cheek balm in Berry Boost and the powder cleanser, love both of those products and plan to buy more colors in the balm as well as try other items in the collection. It is perfect and easy to use, especially right after my time at the pool in the frigid north. Thanks!

Ooo! This looks really good! This and the Lisa Eldridge interest me. I’m 55, and my skin has just finally started to dry to slightly oily, instead of very oily. It might be more of a winter foundation for me. I prefer a lighter coverage foundation. I appreciate that you also apply the foundation lightly. Thanks!

I love the Chanel CC cream (spf 50 - no chemical blockers), and the Eau de Teint… I love the way both look, with medium coverage for CC cream, and light coverage (and glow) with the Eau de Teint. :-) Chanel foundations are really lovely.

Yes, it's quite nice. I love all the Chanel foundations I've tried except for the Sublimage, which exaggerated my pores and lines. The color match, B20, is the most flattering of all the other brands of foundation.

I didn’t think to ask about the foundation, but I might just order it on their website based on your review. I did however get a sample of the fragrance and the eye cream and I like them both.

This is a wonderful easy light wearing foundation. I like the new Charlotte tilbury foundation too. This one goes on so easy and is a pleasure to put on which is nice for a change. The Charlotte Tilbury is also nice to have for a bit more coverage.
An Ulta that is near me has had Chanel make up for over two years now. I believe it’s only in select Ulta stores thank you Michele for another great video!

Still smarting over the Dior reformulation BUT Laura Mercier has come out with a new illuminating tint that I can’t wait to try. I never got over them discontinuing it. I might have to try this one. I like lighter coverage so the comparison with the CT is helpful. I was considering that one, too.
