Mike was thinkin Dave was gonna blow him. Mike had to get to a Mic.....he was the backup vocals. Dave used to get pissed at him because Mike would drown him out with his strong voice. Mike can sing, Dave can't.
drugs, ego's and eddie realizing that dave sucked. eddie wanted a new direction, dave wanted DAVE TV. dave thought he could be a movie star and his own band/ rock star. he was wrong on both counts. both 'parties' became too much to deal with, but it was called van halen so dave was out.
If diamond day would just sing straight up and compliment the band it would be a hell of show You just fucking goes off and does this improv shit and does not do anything for the band his live performances suck when the band sounds so good
What the fuck is Alex playing to during this song? He sounds like he is playing something completely different. It just screwed the song up totally with all of his weird fills.

It is called kind of Syncopated, for me it sounds unreal, this is the way they should play. rest of other Rock bands just follow
