- Part 1 (of 3) of a 2009 interview with Adriana Kaegi, co-founder of Kid Creole and the Coconuts on Revenge of the 80s Radio (subscribe to our channel here: www.youtube.com... ). Adriana talks with host Chris Cordani about the beginnings of the Kid Creole and the Coconuts, their stage show, her work as a choreographer, Adriana's DVD documentary: "Kid Creole and My Coconuts" and her 2009 album, TAG. Over the past two years, Adriana also released the singles "I've Been Going Out" and "He Delivers" with Ronnie Bruce Rodgers.
In addition, Adriana is an accomplished video artist and is the founder and President of her own company, Dear Addy Digital Media.

Adriana is brilliant choreographer and dancer. The Coconuts were amazing.
I like how their music was full sounding, fun, and the lyrics had a dark twist or two. The Coconuts were gorgeous, syncopated, and a had a bit of snark towards the Kid. The trombone solo at the beginning of "Don't Take my Coconuts" is a favorite of mine.
Love their music , choreography , costumes .big band set awesome 50 stars .
@CuteCatFaith Hi Cat, Yes, Adriana was married to August Darnell. She talks abuot that a bit more in the other portions of our conversation. Today, Adriana is still recording music (we play all her newset work on Revenge of the 80s Radio) and she is the President of Dear Addy Digital media.

Well, there were a lot of them over the years. So, which ones?
So far, she doesn't mention she was married to him? Perhaps I heard it wrong back in the day. I enjoyed this group and got their first Ze 45 free from Justine Strait. Wonder where she is now? Uprated.

Adriana Kaegi is currently posting daily uploads of her origional VHS behind the scenes home type footage on her channel....true reality vlogging 80s style at its best , filmed by herself of the band and entourage . Its a great fly on the wall for any coconut fans x
