It's always a sure-fire way of being able to think better when I wear my glasses aswell.I only really need to wear them when reading ingredients on food packaging and the like.✌️
A tip I was told when I started RC cars was to keep one battery lead deliberately short so you can't reach the other socket so you can't do reverse polarity works and costs nothing
I may be wrong, but I thought I'd check. That esc is a 1s lipo only esc. That's only 3.7v nominal. Those batteries looked like 2s 7.4v nominal. A little overvoltage is no big deal, but it will eventually burn in up. You upped the drag brake. That increases internal resistance and heat. The straw that broke the camels 🐫 back?
They can’t be that daft surely? Does look like a 2s shorty at first glance but surely not.! I would expect that to blow the esc straight away . Double the voltage !?. I will laugh if you are right.
Check the wire that connects to the receiver for a breakage. Also, I didn't see that a recalibration procedure was done for the neutral and throttle end points.
I would suggest, re set the end points, they do funny things sometimes if you don’t re set them after making some changes, failing that after your other tests Schumacher are fantastic for after sales
How did you factory reset the esc? With the program box plugged into a pc you can update the firmware or you can use the Bluetooth dongle with the phone app (recommended)
You got the radio set to servo reverse?? Or when you hooked up the program box you did something to reverse the settings. What I mean is it looks like when you hit full forward throttle you are actually doing the delayed reverse or something. Just a guess I can’t remember off the top of my head what the program box gives as options but I’d look at that programming.
Another vote for update or reflash the firmware. Sounds like something got screwed up during the param changes that wasn't intended. I would have expected a reset to defaults would sort it but it may be in an area not normally intended to be edited. Its funny how different people are drawn to the hobby for different reasons. I actually find problem solving and troubleshooting one of the major draws. Possibly not if I am at the side waiting to race though !!
Send it back. I had to do that with my XR10 pro, I'd done about 50mins of usage. And it stopped working. No explanation why. Got a replacement but took about 2 weeks.
Have had 2 of these die now both under a year old, bought from modelsport. When contact they wouldnt help - said only 6 months warranty given. Not good customer service! 😡
Although it has only done 6-10 races it was on the work bench for a while after buying so probably had it sat there six months before I put it in the car... so probably out of warranty
Didn't u say that u decided to make some program changes ?made the changes and the next time u tried to use it it didn't work?if so....then u changed something and u don't remember what the he'll u did..?change it back if u can remember what u did
@@PopalongRC seen it lately lots of people bricked their HW ESC and eaven the latest generation of XR10 pro bricking mid race. dont know what ESC to use as option as most of them is made by HW but branded as anything.
Had exactly the same with my 1 s esc same as yours sent it to Schumacher they just replaced it foc. Always speak to them first as they have really good service

who needs brakes anyway

great tip

defo 1s batteries as it is my gt12 car
Good thing you have those inspectors stashes 😂
Hello hello hello

Maybe use the failed ESC as an anchor for an RC boat? 😊
that could work
I would suggest, re set the end points, they do funny things sometimes if you don’t re set them after making some changes, failing that after your other tests Schumacher are fantastic for after sales
nice one.... yeah I re did all the end points too
How did you factory reset the esc?

did a reset on the program card

Set to forward brake
No reverse

it is fine but I dont like trying to fix stuff trackside as it adds stress trying to get out in time for race.
Agree with some other comments about doing a firmware update. Failing that return to Schumacher
need to look into this
I may have missed it, but did you put the HW esc back to default and try that?
yep I tried that
thats a 1s esc are all the batterys you using 1s ???
Yes
Surely under warranty?
need to look into it
First thing I would do is turn off the auto power off function you have activated in case that is causing a problem . Then re flash the firmware .
need to look into the fireware
re-calibrate?
⚡️⚡️⚡️
will look into this

technology is so complicated
If you bought it from the uk schumacher do returns and repairs for hobbywing i think there maybe a small fee
hobbywing have a 6 month warranty
Send it back to Schumacher for diagnosis & repair.
that could work
Go nitro just need a hump pack a few AA batteries and a screw driver and a set of good tuning ears 😂
broooombroooom
You 2 look more like laurel and hardy with them mustaches
thats better than chuckle brothers
Morning gents…👍
evening
ESC's can always fail, not much you can do about it really. Then again, surely it's still under warranty isn't it?
worth looking into ... Glitch in the matrix
Send it back if its that new.
sat on the bench waiting to be installed for a long time. had it a while but has not done much mileage.
Firmware update for my money
Have had 2 of these die now both under a year old, bought from modelsport. When contact they wouldnt help - said only 6 months warranty given.

Try a firmware update.
Moral of this story is to never add drag brake then? 😂
true that
Didn't u say that u decided to make some program changes ?made the changes and the next time u tried to use it it didn't work?if so....then u changed something and u don't remember what the he'll u did..?change it back if u can remember what u did
Know exactly what we changed and reset back to previous then did a factory reset… but don’t know what the heck has happened to the esc
