Not a fan of the 2in1 ESC, but everything else seems like a winner. If they are going to use a 2in1 I wish it had the feature (like most of Arrmas previous 2in1's) to add an external receiver so I can use my own transmitter without having to upgrade the esc also on day one.... If it is compatible, I will eventually swap my 3s typhon chassis and slipper with this chassis and center diff.
I think most £300 to $400 buggies would've broken something with a solid hit like that.! Except the Jato.... It couldn't have gone fast enough to break.! 😉😉😁😁
I love this yellow. Actually I'm just realizing it is almost the exact same color yellow as the Tyco Typhoon II I had as a kid. In fact their whole new lineup has very early to mid 90s Nikko and Tyco vibes which I am totally down for.
One thing, if anyone new is interested in really doing track time and racing, even at a club level, invest in something like the tlr typhon with an aluminum chassis and 4s support, which is what real sanctioned 1/8 buggy racing uses. Otherwise, for track bashing or general messing around, these 223s rigs are great value, although I'd go truck over buggy in that use case.
@@soma_rc no yeah I know. I was referring to the fact that Spektrum kept the EPA feature on the new SLT2 and not the SLT3, as that what RazorRC said in the video
@@RazorRC mmm, did you try using the 3rd channel buttons to set the EPA while in the programming mode? That’s how it used to work on the “black power button” SLT3, while on the SLT2 they used the D/R dial for the same purpose, as obviously it doesn’t have a 3rd channel
My biggest issue with my version 3 was dirt getting into the gearbox and shredding front motor bearings. Get it out on a dusty track and see if they fixed that ... After 3 motor bearings I can't and won't run my v3 in dirt
Nice run Razor! I have brand new V2.0 Kraton and Outcast 4s trucks unopened. I bought them just before the V2.5 came out. In your opinion is it worth putting the center differentials in them or not? I haven’t opened them yet so I may just sell them and get the V2.5🤔. Or would I be better off buying the parts to build the center diff and installing them? I can’t decide.
If I could change one thing with this platform (and basically all Horizon vehicles of late with the 2-in-1 receiver/esc, is how they only have the SLT protocol. I get that it may be necessary for their stability control settings, but I have had a few people I know get an upgraded radio that they can pair multiple vehicles to. The Spektrum DX6 Rugged (or 5C or similar) can't pair to SLT receivers, only DSMR. Spektrum makes receivers that can pair using both SLT and DSMR protocols and when a ill or misinformed customer gets a couple hundred dollar new Spektrum radio thinking it should pair to a new Spektrum receiver, there is an opportunity for unnecessary frustration. I get that SLT is the cheaper protocol to include, but to have to buy a new receiver and ESC just to use another Spektrum product seems like something that could have been avoided. At the very least It would have been a good thought for Spektrum to put SLT compatibility into their higher end radios.
When hou decide to "throw more power" t o it. Slap in a 130 amp spektrum 4s esc along with the spektrum 1900 kv motor and compare it head t o head with the stock syncro 4. Fairs fair 4s to 4s.
Shocks on the V3 Typhon 3s broke easily. Pity they are still the same ones. Apart from that and maybe the servo setup, fantastic upgrades. I'm surprised you took it there, looks to rough for a buggy.
Syncro 4 is 4s is it not. Usually a 4s will beat a 3s but I bet the typhon drives better and if was upgraded to the 130 amp spektrum 4s esc a nd 1900 kv motor it would literally walk all over the syncro in every aspect.
@@richiefrank15productions you speak like a total fanboy. they are both entry level but you are correct about Syncro4 being 4s of course theres more power just like comparing 4s to 6s but saying that typhon will walk over Syncro in all aspect thats where you sound a total fanboy just for the price point and overall quality of the Syncro she beats this Typhon and Jato already.
Learning about the hobby here so bear with me...breaking these cars seems to be just about every single video out there. Are they just crap, or is this par for the course to have something to repair daily? I'm not going to be trying 30 foot leaps off the skate ramp at my local park, but I do want to rip around and not have to ground my vehicle till i can repair it again. Arma seems to be the consensus I have seen that isn't junk; Traxxas is just a name that comes with a lot of support perks (or at least that's how I am understanding it) but not nearly the quality. I dont mind paying more to get something robust. I'm into RC Heli and you get what you pay for....dearly lol.
Can you even compare this to the Jato.? That thing's a joke.!! Traxxash have completely lost it lately, they've gone from innovators & leaders to parts bin specials & sub par copies of their own stuff. Overpriced is easier to swallow if you feel like you've bought something special, Traxxash haven't released anything special since the Xmaxx & UDR.! They can't even compete with, let alone beat the cheap Chinese stuff.! They do have a top quality advertisement department though.!! 😂 😂 The cope & excuses are funny to see too.!! 😁😁
Cut a corner with that 2-in-1. More expensive now for anyone that gets this who would like to upgrade their radio. Well I guess you get stabi!ity control at a cheaper price point.
@@barbedwirerat661 yeah stability control will help newer drivers, but at the cost of the 2-in-1 it seems. They simplified the bind/calibration process too.

Amazing r.c. buggy! Would have been nice to see it run at your normal location!
Agreed. He brought a buggy to a location thats more suited to a kraton than a typhon.
honestly, I wanted to change it up so the scenery isn't the same in every video.

Definitely getting one of these 🔥🔥
It sounds and drives so much better with the center differential. And it's the same price as the previous model. Awesome. Thanks for the video
it sounds way better, super smooth buggy now
Nice, love the new Arrma products!
Just picked up a V3 for $279...gotta wait until springtime for the V4
The one in the video is available now thats the v4
Really hoping they do a proper update on the Granite. Such a cool platform and perfect size IMO.

new typhon 3s or the syncro4? what would you recommend? I see a shootout comparison coming with the jato!
Awesome! I am waiting for Arrma Notorious with blue and yellow body.
love that color
