The change in U2's sound when they dropped Auctung Baby. And when I first heard The Fly in 1991. I absolutely loved this period of U2. Fantastic album.
I fell in love with U2 in 1985 (I was 10 years old) watching the Live Aid Concert on tv. Since then, Bad is my favorite song of all times. And Achtung Baby is my favorite album from the band. Please bring this concert to Brazil!
I have been a massive fan since 1985 after watching U2 play Live Aid on my bedroom TV. Achtung Baby is one of My favorite Albums ! Speedy recovery to Larry Mullen Jr.
When i was 12 , "The Fly" and the whole album changed my way to hear music. I'm 42 and you'll always be my favorite band...hope to see you soon here in Perú guys.
On my very first blind date, at the age of 14 . . . visiting the UK from the US . . . my date drove me around without an idea of what to do. But he played this album and later, it was the first CD I ever bought. Around 5 years ago when I lived in Colorado, I happened to sit next to one of U2's backstage staff and he hinted that something big was coming re: Achtung Baby, but I figured due to Covid, it just didn't happen. Thrilled to hear this. Can't wait for fall x
Jomy great call. I saw them in Cleveland in 2017 for Joshua tree tour and then again in Detroit. I wanted to go to the sphere but Larry will not b there. Being replaced by a dutch drummer
Yes. 2017! Saw them in MN!! Beck opened up for them! Awesome!! 3x I've seen U2. Would love to see them in Las Vegas. I was in Vegas last June, looked like hotel/ casino was getting started with construction. Love U2 since 1980!!
It really is their crown jewel This album inspired a lot of the bands that came after it because it was so different than what the group think of the 90s bands sounded like. Quick story: Discovered U2 by accident. Heard New Order “True Faith” on the radio in ‘93 and fell in love with the song. Looked everywhere for what the song was called and who sang it. My sister was at school one day and I thought surely she has this song. So I went through all her CDs. After hours of let down I find an album called “Actung Baby” and thought, “this had to be it! It’ll be on this album by this U2 group!”. I was wrong but so happy to be. I pressed play and heard the rifts for Zoostation and like the people in this commercial I was transported to another place. Hypnotized by this amazing sound. I listened to the entire album right there and was a fan for life. Best album of all time. A rare, “just hit play” and no song let’s you down. Thank you U2! Soundtrack to my life!!!
The year was 1986, I lived in a small town in the interior of São Paulo in Brazil. I was only 10 years old and I met my band through an uncle of mine who listened to their songs in a red Volkswagen Beetle, the hit of the moment was Sunday Blood Sunday.... I loved it from the beginning. I moved to another city and went to live close to a large center, still in the interior of São Paulo in Brazil. With that I had the opportunity to buy my first album.... Achtung Baby forever!!!! Success guys!!!!!
@margaret You all are the damn best. I'm honored to have the kind of support that you show me, thank you. How are you doing? it is nice meeting you here btw
Best album ever made. It goes all over the place. It's uncompromising, shows all colours in a progressive light and AB still sounds fresh. Hope they still have the balls to make their next album another titanium dance rock one with a laser sharp Edge aiming for our spines :)
Absolutely saved the lads after pop mart album. I'm 48 and U2 have always been my favorite. Rattle and hum is one of the best but critic's gave it shit review. Go f urselves
Jose too bad the man that gave these lads ther first job and tries everyday to keep them in it Larry Mullen Jr will not be there. Fuckin sucks. Replaced by a dutch drummer
I'll see you there. I bought my first U2 album a month after ZooTV passed through St. Louis, mostly on the recommendations of my friends. Such an influence on my musical brain. Gonna get good seats. I've waited 30 years. Yer damned right I'm getting a good seat.
I was 14 in 1992 and Zoo TV at Houston Astrodome was my very first concert ever. I have seen many bands and all u2 shows since then and it will never be topped. I wish I could make the Vegas shows but I'm not financially able to at the moment. Enjoy the show, it's gonna be awesome I'm sure!
Yeah, it may get pricey. I tell you, though, when E+I came through Philly a few years ago, I finally shelled out for red zone seats. I'd been to Pop, 360, and JT 30 but always in the cheap seats. For E+I I was not on the floor, but 3 rows above the floor at the "e" end of the arena. They were at eye level, and it was like they were playing in my living room. I could have flicked pennies at them. (Didn't b/c rude. Also they didn't need any more of my pennies. LOL) Anyway, I was next to a woman who was really into the show and her boyfriend, who wasn't. We just danced the whole time. I was with my people. I took a few photos, but just living the experience itself was absolutely worth the price and I decided I would miss being in the good seats again. I simply enjoyed it that much. :)
This is gonna be the most visually incredible show they've ever done so I have absolutely no idea where the best seats are, apparently the LED Screen and the visuals are like, 360 degrees, where do you sit with that, can't believe this album is 30 years old , shows are gonna be insane. Can't wait to go.
When I first heard the rumors that this was going to happen, I had a mostly negative reaction to it. Then I realized that it was going to be a stationary stage set and my imagination went 🤯. Edge is gonna have a field day with this! 👍🎸🔥
@Diana You all are the damn best. I'm honored to have the kind of support that you show me, thank you. How are you doing? it is nice meeting you here btw
At the height of Achtung Baby (in 1992 or 1993 I believe) we were in Detroit for a U2 concert the same night the MTV awards were happening. Bono did a video call to the awards and Garth answered and did his Wayne’s World character. We thought that it was the coolest thing.
@Barry Obama I honestly don’t remember. I just remembered the MTV thing. I had seen U2 a couple of times before the Zoo TV tour and then a couple times after but the Zoo tour was one of my favorites besides seeing Springsteen for the first time play at a small venue right after the River came out and the seats weren’t even completely full.
@Barry Obama must have been the fall. It was the first time my sister and my brother had seen U2 and it was a perfect first U2 concert for them and they loved it. They had “confessional” booths you could go in and videotape and message you wanted and then they would play the clips at different times during they concert. I’ve been to Boston it’s one of my favorite cities. I imagine seeing the band there on St Patrick’s day was insane!
I love Achtung Baby! so much! My favorite album and band of all time. I hope they use this as an opportunity to go experimental, first Songs of Surrender, now this, can't wait to see what comes next!
@flavia You all are the damn best. I'm honored to have the kind of support that you show me, thank you. How are you doing? it is nice meeting you here btw
I'm so excited about this!!! It's my second favorite album, which is just behind Joshua Tree... and that tour was incredible and my first. I was VIP! And my third favorite: Rattle and Hum!
@jackie You all are the damn best. I'm honored to have the kind of support that you show me, thank you. How are you doing? it is nice meeting you here btw
@liliana You all are the damn best. I'm honored to have the kind of support that you show me, thank you. How are you doing? it is nice meeting you here btw
every brazilian 'favelado' is a big U2 fan, U2 is the soundtrack of the favelas in brazil, people may think it its brazilian funk or samba, but it is achtung baby followed by unforgetable fire and zooropa.
Muito TOPe emocionante!!! Este álbum é fantástico... cheguei a lembrar da minha fita K7 e de meu fusca e das idas e vindas da faculdade!!!! Emocionante!!!
U2 have evolved So Much...A lot of U2 fans whom not only love their music , style ...But If You're Not Living or been raised in Ireland..*.Do We Actually Really Know Irish/ American History of U2 n Ireland Today ?......Thanks for your music
I work as a bartender at the timeshare right next to the sphere n these construction workers have been working their asses off to built this sphere for years because the owner keeps changing details every week.... I can finally say thank you to these hard working men and women whom worked so hard away from their loved ones for so long to finally be completing this project.... the traffic is going to be insane n business even more ridiculous but my cheesy is gonna be pouring in like fine cheddar ☺️
My favourite U2 album by far. I never tire of listening to it. How are they going to do this show without Larry though? Won't he be recovering from an operation and resting his back?
@@jamessbca Sadly, I think they had committed to doing the Las Vegas shows to open the Sphere, and then it became apparent that Larry was going to need surgery this year. Still, I wish that wasn't the case. Hopefully Larry will recover well and the whole band might do a different tour in 2024.

@@parkjamesshaw3189 Couldn't agree with you more ☹️ This hasn't happened since 26.november 1993 when Adam was absent due to other things
Getting chills. Haven’t seen them since 2017. This is an epic way to mark the 30th anniversary of Achtung Baby and ZooTV. I’ll be there.

Zoo TV, Popmart tours are the ones I'd time travel back for, so ahead of the curve

U2 is even better than a rock band.
One of my favorite albums. Welcome to the altered world. At least, Music makes sense. Fantastic video 👍

U2. Been a fan since 1983. Should be a great residency!
I started planning to attend a show immediately after seeing this commercial on Superbowl Sunday. We're going to Vegas next weekend. 🎉🎉🎉
What a suspicious video... 👽👽👽

Can't wait for this !!!!! Zoo tv is the best live show I've ever seen !!!
If a giant sphere baby came around singing/playing U2 music, I wouldn't run, I would sing along.
This is a great promo and U2 never does anything understated. I would love to be transported to LV to see my favorite band but sad LMJ won't be there
Ach wie gerne wäre ich auf diesem Konzert, aber ich habe leider das Geld nicht! Ich war noch nie auf einem Konzert von U2. 😢

The whole ZOO TV era was amazing. Please leave it alone, and as it should be so fondly remembered by thousands who were there.
Instead, they got some guy who looks like he's pushing 80 and a below the stage formerly hidden drummer trying to recreate it.
Larger than life, still pushing the boundaries of live entertainment. Very exciting!
Please for the love of all your old school fans- please do a pay per view livestream of this!!
Don’t worry, they’ll do ANYTHING to make an extra buck off us
I was living in Bangkok when this album dropped. Surreal.
Amo U2 de coração esse álbum é muito top força para os U2 ❤🌟❤🌟❤🌟❤🌟🏳
U2 are eternals.
I'm getting Independence Day vibes seeing this
I already was a fan of U2 but when I heard "The Fly" it changed everything

This is my question as well. They can't do it without him.
