To have his character named after his uncle in Michael Mann's Heat is a wonderful hommage. I'm glad young Danny had someone to talk to. Listening to him about his past and his years in prison made me want to rewatch The Jericho Mile - a very good (first) movie by the way 🎬 "I won't do it if it's not fun" is quite a sentence to live by 😁 I bet he means it, regarding of his filmography. Thank you guys for this moment, it's good to see a man doing so well at 80.
Exactly...if I knew I was going to die in my sleep with no pain, I wouldn't really fear it. If I gotta go through an agonizing 6 months of pain and physical decline, fuck that. I'd rather go out on my own terms.
Love this episode! Danny is such a legend and looks incredible for 80! I ran into his son at a movie and he was soooo sweet! So happy he got that cry!!! They are so cute together ❤️
Listening to this episode now and I am so glad that you got him on the podcast. Danny definitely opened up. I am learning so much about him. Thank you for having him on the podcast.
I read Danny's book which is phenomenal. Hearing him tell some of the stories in real time is awesome. Didn't know he was 80? So many ads on this episode but Danny is an amazing success story!!
Danny is a good male role model and a good role model in general. He's a tough masculine man, but it isn't toxic. He's soft when he needs to be, and he's not afraid to show it. He's also shown us that we have the power to turn our lives around. We just need strength and faith to do it. And time and time again he's shown, being kind to others can yield returns that are more meaningful than any amount of money in the world.
This is going to be fun. Robert Rodriguez's cousin. For me his appearance in The Flash was quite funny. I learnt that he was a stuntman or stunt coordinator in the film Runaway Train where he had a cameo as a boxer which starred Jon Voight, Eric Roberts and Rebecca De Mornay.
Love watching these every week. Would it be possible for you to put back in chapter links to make it easier to re-watch certain portions of the show? They used to be there. I recognize it's more work to put them in, but they are helpful. Cheers!
I just finished listening to this episode and it was delightful. What a great way to start the day. I definitely agree with having an attitude of gratitude. It is important to be kind to one another. He definitely has a great career. His movie sounds amazing. Hopefully he can come back on the podcast.
5:44 my grandma died on november 1st she was my best friend, she did not fear death because it meant not suffering any longer. i however lived long enough staring down the end of too many barrels and would like to see some luxury and purpose in life beyond fighting. hence the scifi fantasy series i wrote that ive commented on before. love you both and im ok. she would want me to keep going with the series
Danny Trejo man, much respect, all the way back to Blood in Blood out mucho respecto Mi Patron although he is not Mi Patron felt like the latter half of my life he's been in sooo many movies I saw great man, giving back to his community he's just so cool and laid back just a joy to see him on this show
To hear his story is inspiring. He took advantage of opportunities given to him to make a great life for himself where weaker men would’ve maybe just found themselves back in prison
The impression I get from Danny Trejo is that he acknowledges that people see him as a legend, but he comes across as sincerely humble, so he would never see himself that way. But...I don't know the guy, either.
had a 30 minute conversation with him in the gym parking lot where i worked and where he was a member at in 2005 and just an awesome dude salt of the earth
I cant belive he is 80. I mean, apart from his face, how does he keep such mighty mane. I get he dyes his hair, but still that is crazy. Especially what he’s all been trough. Love your Podcasts. Bring back Lex Luthor
Desperado Raul Julia was supposed to play Bucho but after filming The Burning Season he got stomach cancer and thought he could start filming but his health got worse and sadly passed away in 1994.
"If you don't vote, don't bitch, but if you do vote and don't get what you want, well, you did the best you could..." That made no sense at all, lol. The Rich always get what they want. ALWAYS.
He fought three guys on the street this year. At 80 he's still tough as nails. Those cowards who fought him better stay off the streets. He has a lot of friends in the streets.
I just feel like commenting how I would have loved to see Michael Rosenbaum play Tanis Half-Elven in a live action version of Dragonlance. That's all for now. 🙂
Best podcast yet. Danny is a living legend. The GOAT
Danny Trejo is great, first saw him in From Dawn to Dusk and since then he been in many great movies.
This podcast was made for people like Danny, what a life he has lived! Great guy and very cool actor.
Thank you for this interview. For someone who was so intimidating on the screen, he is such a funny man. What stories must he have with his life.

heard someone say before and it's really true. the words were "I'm not afraid of death, I'm afraid of how I'm going to die"
Yep it’s like a game we played as a kid….Would you rather know what date you die or how you die😮😢
Exactly...if I knew I was going to die in my sleep with no pain, I wouldn't really fear it. If I gotta go through an agonizing 6 months of pain and physical decline, fuck that. I'd rather go out on my own terms.
@@punch1420 i'm sure there are a few different ones

He is definitely a top 10 guest on this cast.
What a gent, Of all of the guest Michael gets on the show not everyone comes with a Suit on but Danny totally so elegant
When he said i been too Julio Art or whatever it was. 😂. I think he met Juiliard 😂
like how he keeps looking over to Ryan
I was lucky enough to be able to work on Badasses on the Bayou for a couple of days. I cannot express enough just how kind and humble Danny Trejo is.
Awesome guy. One of my fave shows so far.

Hell yeah!! You need some of the cast from prison break especially Robert knepper
Ryan cracking up over Danny talking about coke on movie sets made the whole thing 😂😂
I don't even think it was the drug thing, it was literally the word "blow" that kept breaking him.
Love danny he's the real deal he was awesome in the flash tv series!!!
We absolutely need this man on again. May he live to 100 doing his best ❤
Ever since i first Saw him in con air i knew he was Gonna be a superstar in Hollywood one day later
Love watching these every week. Would it be possible for you to put back in chapter links to make it easier to re-watch certain portions of the show? They used to be there. I recognize it's more work to put them in, but they are helpful. Cheers!
I know someone whose son acted with Danny on a movie. She said he was a total sweetheart. I wish I could meet him and BS someday.

Love Danny! He also has a cookbook. I bought my copy earlier this year. It’s a taco cookbook. Really great! 😊😊😊
What a great guy, and a really interesting interview! ❤ 🎉
Danny is an amazing guy.
Man I love Danny. Great interview.

Amen 🫡

But...I don't know the guy, either.
We need to get Colin Farrell on the show. I could listen to him talk for hours about his life and films, especially now after The Penguin.
He’s too famous for here, but Mikey boy has gotten Nicholas Hoult and Keanu Reeves, so maybe it’ll happen
Good call.
Yeah never say never.
And Cristin Milioti!!
Mr. Farrell is too busy nowadays.
Legendary!!
This should be a fun one!
Top tier guest. Excellent interview. 🏆
Great Interview 💯 DANNY TREJO 💯
had a 30 minute conversation with him in the gym parking lot where i worked and where he was a member at in 2005 and just an awesome dude salt of the earth

Amazing Guest...
Danny Trejo! 🤘👽👽👽🤙
Great episode 👍
Correction for what Danny Trejo said about Cinco de Mayo is was the first battle that Mexico won a battle against the French not the Spaniards.
That was Great 👍 Makes me want to be a better person.

"I cried for everything I didn’t cry." -Danny Trejo
"If you don't vote, don't bitch, but if you do vote and don't get what you want, well, you did the best you could..."
That made no sense at all, lol. The Rich always get what they want. ALWAYS.
They need to make a Danny Trejo movie on him growing up.
No idea who you are, but great interviews and guests who are far more interesting than most “A-listers”.
The fact that this dude is 80 is crazy
He’s 80?! Holy sh*t he looks great for his age!
Conair is the first time I saw him in action. Ever since then he has made banger after banger
You need to watch Desperado, and From Dusk Till Dawn.
@taoist32 oh trust me since then I have seen him in all the other classic 90s movies and early 00s
He fought three guys on the street this year. At 80 he's still tough as nails. Those cowards who fought him better stay off the streets. He has a lot of friends in the streets.
I love how one person comes on the pod wearing the clothing brand ROOTS OF FIGHT and now rosey lives in it. 😂
Now this is going to be a good episode.. 😳
Anyone loving the weird irony of the Patrick CC video dropping yesterday?
Happy to be here early on!!
Danny's a hero too. And some piece of crap threw sh#$_t at his ride!😂❤
I just feel like commenting how I would have loved to see Michael Rosenbaum play Tanis Half-Elven in a live action version of Dragonlance.

Just about to start watching and I’ve got the feeling I won’t be disappointed😀

favorite vampire movie dust to dawn vampire series
How the hell am I just now realizing Ryan is the same Ryan from The Warp Zone?!?! 0:42
Nutrafol!
Back when prisons were Really dangerous.
Michael's diarrhea joke about his tacos at the end was unnecessary r 😂
Danny Trejo should play in a Jack Reacher season with Alan Ritchson.
It's crazy this guy is 80years old
