Funny how reviewers always say something about the design being old on cars like 370z and at the same time praise the Porsche 911 with a design that didn't change since stone age.
That may be because the 911 is good looking

I watch a lot of reviewers talk about the Nismo. There’s so much more to this car that they miss. I never hear them talk about the gearing on the Nismo is different. The cost of the Nismo and why it’s justifiable. It’s $15,000 over the base model but when you add up the differences it’s actually a good deal. Gearing, suspension, blackout headlights, braking, wheels & tires, body kit, recaro seats, body kit, tuning, exhaust, infotainment system, higher resale value.
Finally, an Aussie reviewer who doesn't use corny/contrived jokes and just gets the point across! Oh, great review BTW.
340hp na 6cyl rear wheel drive coupe with a manual box, nothing wrong with old school, it’s the best school ! Doesn’t look too bad either ...
i m addicted to Z car. Drove 350z convertable for 7 years and bought 370z after that. I want to buy Nismo badly..Should work harder from now on or overcome my addiction. Enjoyed your review
Shut off the traction system leave rev match on it is a hoot it rivals cars with more horsepower with its precision and awsome handling and a rewarding drivers car can't say that with most cars as they are aided electronically so if you love to drive it's a blast Nissan made the rev matching that every one is using like Porsche corvette etc big wheels distinctive look rare and always a head turner

I'd love to own one of these! I really wish the interior lived up to this day and age tho. If you look at the new Mustang GT premiums, their interior is WAY nicer than the Z's.. BUT I do think the Z is a more beautiful car on the outside, and they definitely have a more sporty feel to them whereas mustangs feel kindof clunky..

Everyone mocks this car for excessive weight (me included, 1650KG 2 seater OMFG what drugs were they taking) but I have a feeling in retrospect it will be coveted as the last of the analogue cars; hydraulic steering, manual transmission, non-electronic limited slip differential and instant response naturally aspirated engine. Some of us will be very very sorry we didn't buy one when they were affordable, like people that cry over their sold 240z in the 80's. Supra is already automatic only with electronic steering and electronic LSD, I have a hunch Nissan will do the same for next generation.

I'm not entirely sure if australian hosts does fair or in depth review of the car .Very basic very brief ,I'm c'mon guys make a 20 minutes + videos where you can pack substantial querks & features. How can you prove an ability or accessories of any car car under mare 6 mins .Keep it up

henry Sanson nissan said it isnt a priority for them, they are focussed on next gen gtr, and renault just released alpine... even the next gen has been put on hold, it was going to be turbo v6 with 300, 400 and 500 bhp trims, the new q60 is a priority over this

Made In Machines I love this car.. but if you care about the badge and don't mind the potential high repair costs.. cayman is nice. wouldnt consider the TTS.
I'm not convinced the repair costs are that different but I could be wrong. Do you have any information about it? The tax, fuel are cheaper with the cayman and the servicing costs is around the same. I'm not sure about repairs though. Even though it's Nissan they seem to know how to charge premium for their sporty models. Why not the remapped mk3 TT or TTS?

I think it is hella over priced, which is why not many are sold. Buying a used 370z is the way to go. As for the nismo edition, I just don't see it for those numbers. Even a used nismo is still over priced.
If you have $35k to spend, buy a used base 370z. With the extra money you buy a twin turbo kit, new wheels, and new calipers, AND still have some extra cash.

Nissan interiors are like fords interiors......disappointing.Even Kia is doing a far better job these days....
i mean this is a $70k car....i could buy a 2 year old A45 AMG or a RS3 etc. And get MUCH more performance and a build quality that is light years ahead.

Err I can tell you as am owner of both a nismo and an 2008 s63 amg that the nismo would smash its face in except in a straight line. If we're talking steering feel good factor balance poise and looks the nismo is my choice. Also had an 335i remapped which whilst also decent can not do anything vs the nismo which is a killer drivers car.

It's disappointing that they didn't get rid of the ugly hook on the hockey stick style front and rear lights. That was enough to put me off buying one back in the day. It looked horrible then and it looks horrible now.
personally i think the design looks great and so does many other Z owners, you are definitely in the minority here.

Hard to believe that a company that made the beautiful 240Z could come up with this monstrosity. Nissan should hand pictures of the 240Z to the designers at Mazda and ask them for a modern interpretation. This is rubbish.
