Question 1: do you ever use an electric tool for sanding? I have arthritis and wondered if that would work. Question 2: what was the “cup cutter” (?) you mentioned?
Hi, Alison, I just applied my three coats of mod pudge to my first washi tape tumbler. Would you suggest a coat or two of glitter glue over that just to be sure before sealing?
I am familiar with how to prep a cup. For your cup you just sanded and wash and wiped down with alcohol? I just noticed it didn’t have a base coat. This looks awesome!
Beautiful cup! Did you use bright tone all the way to the top and bottom even though you have a rim? No issues with CrystaLac going directly on top of Mod Podge?
@@AlisonCrafts oh I remember that, I just forgot when I decided to use gg since I have it. But im asking if you remember whether or not you sealed with spray paint AND then with the glue you were using in this video?
@@AlisonCrafts thank you ! I have been thinking about making the switch because our weather is very unpredictable and I can't always have the proper ventilation
youre a genius this is awesome thank you!!!

That washi tape! 😍😍
Alison - if I don't have EP can I go right to BT or would you suggest a couple coats of GG after MP or in place of MP?
I would use GG in place of mod podge!! and just use brite tone!
Hi, Alison, I just applied my three coats of mod pudge to my first washi tape tumbler. Would you suggest a coat or two of glitter glue over that just to be sure before sealing?
I would yes! Best to have a barrier over the mod podge
Can you do a fabric?
I'm working on one now :)
Are you gonna try this with gg instead of mod podge?

I sanded and washed with dish soap and let dry. No base color for the washi tape. For a glitter cup I'll spray paint!
Crafting the Good Life I just wanted to clarify. This looks great and I want to try it. 😁
Do it! It's so easy!
Beautiful cup! Did you use bright tone all the way to the top and bottom even though you have a rim? No issues with CrystaLac going directly on top of Mod Podge?
I did go all the way to the rim! I personally haven't had issues with modpodge but a lot of people do. So I say use at your own risk lol
could you use e6000 to seal the tape instead of modpodge? Since we use e6000 for glitter why not the washi tape? Just a thought.
I tried it and it repelled. You can try it on your washi, it may work!
Now that we have GG, is the process the same?
You could try to seal with glitter glue!
Do you have to seal it with spray paint so it doesn't bleed? I have glitter glue too
This washi tape needed to be sealed. I would test whatever you're going to use to see if it's necessary
@@AlisonCrafts so you sealed it with spray paint then you sealed with glitter glue?
@@jcolsonsmith when I made this, glitter glue didn't exist lol I would just use spray paint and let dry 48 hours. Then do coats of BT!
@@AlisonCrafts oh I remember that, I just forgot when I decided to use gg since I have it. But im asking if you remember whether or not you sealed with spray paint AND then with the glue you were using in this video?
@@jcolsonsmith I just sealed this with the mod podge! I recommend spray paint over MP Though!
How do you manage to not get drips? I don’t have a turner yet so I am doing the hang method and I am getting drips.
You need to use less BT. Drips mean you're using too much
How’d the mod Podge fair with the Crystalac since the curing time is like 28 days and you started with the EP after 24 hours?
It worked great. However, Only the dishwasher safe modpodge has a cure time of 28 days. I used the regular kind 💖
Is the extreme protection and brite tone fda compliant or safe to drink from ?
It is!

@@heatherjackson4636 that's the main reason I looked into alternatives! I'm by chicago so it's cold a lot or raining 🤣
@@AlisonCrafts Im in Texas..it was 30 something this morning with ice on the vehicles and the high was 66 this afternoon lol
I have a whole drawer (dresser) now I can actually use them 🤣🤣
Right?!?! Soooo much washi tape…..
