I love the burnt orange proto-Pansy dress. It's always nice when people admire your hand-made clothes and ask where you got them. I tell them I got it at Spotlight 😁
I love the burnt orange Pansy dress. I bought the pattern. I had to. My late husband’s mother’s name was Pansy. The family lost her when my husband was 16 (he 64 now). Our daughter due in December and is naming her daughter after both our late mothers (my husband’s mom’s maiden name) Cordelia Rose.
Hi Janelle. ..love everything you made. You are so talented. Love the cream colour gingham dress and cream cardi. Thx for another great video. Remain blessed xxx
Gee!! They are all beautiful!! Don’t make me pick!!! Ok! Well if I have to, I would say the black gingham and white gingham are my favorites! Truly though, they are all AWESOME me makes!! Thanks for sharing!!😊
Love this video concept! I love that you sew your own garments, many times from re-cycled materials, but that you actually wear these pieces so often makes you the most sustainable sewist I see ❤️
Love this channel, I really love the fit of the Mcalls’ pattern dress . That floral print just really makes it spectacular. All of your makes are outstanding.
Like you, l love the burnt orange/rust coloured dress. I have a few dresses in a similar style and l always feel so good and comfortable in them . I think the style is flattering on a person's body. Your cardigan is also beautiful too. It looks very warm.🥰
I'm making the sweater version of the Aosta!! I'm using a really beautiful colorway of the Big Twist yarn. One more sleeve left, but it's such a pretty make!
It's such a joy to get so much wear of the items we've dreamt up and made come true, isn't it 😊 I've been wondering - because you make so many dresses that are rather similar, same color palette, different details - do you manage to get a decent amount of wear out of all of them? Or do you end up donating some? My own wardrobe is not too large (husband disagrees) and I'm a very slow sewist, so always try to make pieces that are quite different from one another, but my style is also very varied... So I've been wondering how you're handling this very consistent, but constantly growing wardrobe of yours 😊
Over time I’ve realised what styles/colours I genuinely like to wear - hence why I have distinct style I stick too. I find when I experiment with different styles they are the items I’m not drawn to wearing much and end up getting donated!
Your first dress, the burnt orange one, can you tell me what sort of fabric it is? Is it a poplin? I’m so curious because it seems to drape pretty well but looks different than just a quilting cotton. Thanks!

Your burnt orange dress would be SO ADORABLE with hand embroidery on the front. 😊
I love the gingham and the floral dresses the best!
Love the top with the ruffle. It’s intriguing.
All beautiful pieces. Very hard to pick out a favorite.
The light gray gingham dress!

I adore the McCalls dress! I bought the Deer and Doe Orchidee dress specifically because it reminded me of your dress!

What yarn did you use for the Aosta cardigan?? I LOVE how it looks!! All of these makes are gorgeous!
I used 12 ply from Bendigo Woollen mills 😊
It's good to see but people from sewing chanels not only sew stuff for content but actually wear them!
Hi Janelle- what yarn did you use on the Aosta? How is it wearing? A lot of people are using we are the knitters yarn, but I'm on the fence!
It’s been a while, but from memory I used 12ply from Bendigo Woollen Mills: www.bendigowoollenmills.com.au/classic-12-ply
Your first dress, the burnt orange one, can you tell me what sort of fabric it is? Is it a poplin? I’m so curious because it seems to drape pretty well but looks different than just a quilting cotton. Thanks!
It is quilting cotton! One of my favourite fabric types to make dresses from 😊
What fabric did you use for your burnt orange Pansy dress?
It’s a quilters cotton 😊
🏳️🌈👍👌🏾😍👗👗🧵🧵
